We were in town this past weekend visiting family and decided to go for brunch. We'd never been to Egg It On Cafe, but our kids said it was great. Having been there now, we couldn't agree more. The staff and I think maybe the owner were all attentive and very friendly. The place was clean and bright. We had a variety of breakfast items and all of it was good and fairly priced. Came here for brunch on a Saturday, was a 25 min wait. Waited the amount, then sat down. Took 10 mins to get coffee. Ordered our food? Took 1 hour to get our food, they told other tables the kitchen was slow today. The food arrived finally and it was cold. My bf got a double bacon cheeseburger, he wanted it medium, it came out well done, and it was super dry, and hard to even swallow; covered it with ketchup to soak it up and it also didn't even have any bacon on it. I ordered the egg it on platter, the ham steak was also dry and overcooked. The fruit on the side was a good selection, but some of the strawberries were rotten. The biscuit was good but the gravy didn't taste homemade it tasted like they used a packet. Our first visit here. The place is simple and rustic, but very clean, bright, and airy. The booths were comfortable and the service was quick and friendly. My wife ordered the traditional breakfast with crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, seasoned potatoes, and sourdough bread. I ordered the Big Boy breakfast which entailed biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, over medium eggs and crispy hash browns. My wife left stuffed as there is not a shortage of food. She said the eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was thick cut and delicious. She loved the potato seasoning and would definitely order again. The biscuit was flaky, soft and delicious. The gravy was spot on and the sausage patties were on point. I wouldn't order crispy hash browns again as they were done more than what I like, but that's on me. We will definitely be back as their menu is extensive and looks like a lot of tasty food. If you're looking for a spot on breakfast joint, start here. You won't be disappointed. read more

I ordered the biscuit and gravy, three eggs, scrambled soft, sliced tomatoes, instead of hashbrowns, and a side of bacon. The eggs came out typically hard, you can never find a Cook who knows how to cook soft scrambled eggs. It seems. The tomatoes were good enough looking for this time of year, but the gravy was soured. I don't know if it was made with sour milk or what, but it was the plain Jane packaged gravy, not the"sausage gravy" that they list on their menu, and it was definitely soured. I took my first bite of tomato and smelled it and then smelled the grave and you could tell it to sour. They took it away and then brought me a new cup of gravy, but no new tomatoes so didn't even get to enjoy them, but I don't think anybody would want to trust gravy a second time when the first one have been soured, and I didn't. So the biscuit I ate with jelly, and it was very good. I also couldn't get a refill on my tea. It said empty for about 10 minutes before she brought me my check and didn't even offer me a to go tea, but the apparent manager was checking on things and did. All in all, still not sold on this place. Bad waitress experience the first time... Bad food experience a second time. I guess the third time in a month or so will be the deciding factor. read more

Not a perfect cafe, but overall close enough. The grande avocado omelet was delicious. If you love avocado like I do, you will absolutely love this omelet. The omelet was fully stuffed with more avocado inside - super yummy. The English muffin was also great. What was not great are the hash-browns, one word - SOGGY. Service was great throughout. Some workers are really young at this restaurant, not even 16 of age. Restaurant looks nice and super friendly, and exudes a good vibe. Everything was great apart from the hash-browns. First time visit to "Egg It On" was greatly anticipated, due to the great reviews which we had read. Unfortunately, our experience there just didn't live up to the reviews. I must admit that there weren't any major problems, but it was one of those restaurants which you leave thinking there must be something better in the neighborhood. The food overall simply wasn't very tasty, with the fried items being overly greasy. Also, side items weren't brought to our table until about halfway through our meal. For our party of four (3 adults, one child), our bill was nearly $75.00 which we felt was a bit pricey for the quality of the meal. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day, but it's unlikely that we will return to see if that was the case. read more

My family and I went to Egg it On this weekend and at first we were really excited by the cool ambience, the exciting menu and general vibe. However, our excitement fizzled over the course of our meal. It went from "let's definitely make this a repeat spot" to "hey so let's not come back." Who do I think this place is for? An elevated boozy breakfast group who is mostly there for mimosas etc, and for whom the food is a slight afterthought. I'm thinking maybe a group of girlfriends or the like. So how was the food? I got the Eggchiladas which on the menu sounded awesome. Two tortillas filled with breakfasty stuff topped with a Hispanic inspired sauce of some sort and a dollop of sour cream alongside baja hashbrowns. The baja hashbrowns were standout but the eggchiladas were a huge flop for me. The sauce on top was grainy which I hated, and the innards were far under-cheesed for my liking. There was not enough avocado or razzle dazzle inside the tortillas for me to really enjoy. There was some kind of cubed meat (ham? Chicken?) I couldn't super tell, but it wasn't noteworthy. I ended up picking at the eggchiladas and mainly eating the baja browns. My son's kids meal was surprisingly great! He got a chocolate chip happy face cake with a fruit kabob. The presentation was cute, and fruit was super fresh. Visually awesome with a tiny umbrella. My husband's breakfast sampler (I think? Can't remember the item name) looked really great but things fell apart on closer inspection. The mini waffle was uber soft, and lacked a crisp exterior (to each their own, my husband actually prefers this type of soft sponge waffle), the bacon was alright, not anything amazing but also not bad. The sausage was SO good! If you're choosing between bacon and sausage definitely go sausage. It was unlike any other sausage I've ever had, both in flavor and in texture. I really don't have any descriptors except to say it was soft, not greasy, and felt fresh for sausage which isn't something I've thought of before. His mini omelette was fine, cheesy breakfast potatoes weren't super crisp more on the soft wet side, the pineapple on his fruit kabob had too much of the hard inner rind still present which made for a yuck bite, and his mini biscuits were honestly terrible. They were bland, undersalted and boring. The white gravy they were served with seemed premade in a bland sort of way. The presentation of his plate though, was again very impressive. The flavors just didn't back it up. Our son was really hungry when we walked in so we opted for the 4 mini muffin flight. If you've ever bought a bag of mini muffin mix from the store these were very similar. Honestly they make hand over fist on profit for these but hey. We needed a super quick appetizer for the kiddo and these were on offer. They did however have an off putting wetness that was gooey on the muffin tops which I hated. They stuck to the roof of my mouth and I didn't come back for a second bite. Gave them all to the kiddo. Coffee was fine! Nothing bad to say there. But really the price was the kicker. $62 after tip which is nuts for breakfast for 2 plus a kids meal in my opinion. My husband ordered water for goodness sake! My coffee was almost 3 and a half bucks. My eggchiladas were listed as coming with the Baja hashbrowns yet the bill has them priced separately. I was not happy to pay such a high bill when the food was so subpar. Our server seemed kind but aloof, and it was quite a while between getting checked on. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place unless you are mainly coming for the booze which we did not have. read more

He asked for them with a runny yolk. The chicken & waffles were beyond disgusting, please do not order it. Went here for the first time the other day. I got the avocado omelette, I was really not impressed, was not worth the money. They forgot part of my meal, they were nice enough to call and tell me about it and apologize. The service was nice, but it took 20 minutes to have an omelette and some fruit ready and I felt that was a little long for just that, considering they were not busy. The atmosphere was cute, lots of lights everywhere. I would consider going back and finding something I might like a little bit better. Hopefully I have a better experience next time. read more

I have eaten at this cafe for several years now. Most recently I took my seven year old grandson there for breakfast. Out of the blue at the end of dining, he asked "can I give it a five star review". First of all, I had no idea he knew what a five star review was. This place seems to be hit or miss. The wait staff has always been really good but the food is sometimes subpar. Their pancakes have a bitter aftertaste that reminds me of me of the old fashion baking powder my grandmother used to use. To be fair - some people like that aftertaste, and it lets me know that the batter is homemade- it just doesn't taste good. Egg it on Cafe is the most underrated breakfast place in Broken Arrow! Everyone is so sweet and the service has always been great. It's nice to be on a slower side of BA as well instead of dealing with the waits and traffic of Main Street BA. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with an extra biscuit and I should have just stuck with one because they're surprisingly large and filling! The gravy is homemade which is also nice! My husband ordered the avocado bacon omelet with potatoes and everything came out just as ordered. They have smaller dollar pancakes for children, and they also have my little one a cute little cup of Fruit Loops which I thought was sweet. My review is for a delivery order, which can always be hit or miss from any restaurant-but this order was one of the worst ever. The description of the BLT says "lots of bacon, egg, lettuce tomato" On each half of sandwich I got ONE slice of bacon, cut in half. No egg. One slice of lettuce. Good Service, Good Food! Certainly the best breakfast we have had in Broken Arrow. It is a nice clean restaurant with great service. All of their traditional breakfast items seem to be big plates of food. Great tasting coffee and they provide a thermal carafe of it so you can keep your cup full. They have the traditional breakfast items (bacon, eggs, pancakes and waffles) and some unusual items like crepes, frittatas and their own specialty omelets. On the previous visit we had an egg white omelet stuffed with vegetables, served with fruit and an English muffin. I went for the Croissant Scramble. A combination of scrambled eggs, ham, spinach, cheese served on a croissant and covered in Hollandaise sauce. You can also select seasoned potatoes or their hash browns. The hash brown were well done, crisp and not dripping in oils or butter. On this visit we tried the Denver Omelet, and the Biscuit and Gravy. The omelet was great. The biscuit was fantastic! I think the gravy was a mix. It needed more sausage in it to give it flavor. They make their own breakfast muffins that would go well with a cup of coffee if you want a light breakfast.
