The nicest people here! Very caring and take their time. Definitely a great burger! The appetizer were a hit!

I stopped in here once a few years back, when it was Brownies. The Burgers were tiny and rather expensive for what you got. This visit was very different. First, the staff is INCREDIBLE, they all seem extremely happy and the service was better than many sit-down Restaurants. The Burgers were perfect, I would rank them among the best in the NorthEast OKlahoma region. Our food was delivered by one of the cooks, he seemed very comfortable in that role, was professional and friendly. The place is small but very clean, our table, and seats were clean, I did not see one messy thing about this place. The waitress was as good as any I have experienced. Again, friendly, polite, accommodating and all smiles. Not just with us but with all of her tables. This young woman was amazing. For us, seeing happy people working within a restaurant is a very good sign of a great business. My wife and I went for Dinner but, brought home pie for everyone and nobody was disappointed. We will be back, Ruby's will become one of our regular dining spots. If you have the chance, stomp in and experience what a Burger Joint can be when the culture is Top Notch!

When you walk in and you're greeted with a smile and told to sit anywhere you want is always a good thing, at least for me personally. The place was packed! Again, another good sign! We took a seat, placed our order and the rest was history... a good one! You must try the signature root beer! It comes in a frosted mug! Delicious and it kept coming each time I got about half way through! I was in awe when the burger and onion rings came to the table! The picture says it all! Yes, I had to remove some of the onion rings to even attempt a first bite... and yes, delicious

One of the onion rings. It is as big as my hand, and it was wonderful.

We absolutely loved our hamburgers and onion rings ! The customer service was great. Everybody was so friendly. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. I did get tater tots with mine and a side of the queso dip A+!! a little sidenote if you want one of their many gorgeous looking pies, have it first because you will not have room after! I don't know if that's good or bad

Great burger place in a site that was once a Brownie's. Really nice people. Good burgers and today we had the haystack onion rings as a side. Both quite good. Their house made root beer and the home made pies are also really good.

This was a choice made by my team to have lunch! I'm a sucker for Root Beer and theirs was really good! Good eat to start out! The appetizers were split the Haystack Basket was by far the favorite choice. The Loaded Fries need some work. Just to be honest they were not visually appealing. Although my group ate most of it there was still plenty left over. I'm sure on we'll pass them on our next visit. The burgers were good, almost everyone got a double patty and if you decide I will admit you better have an appetite. I got a Single Patty with everything on it + pepper-jack cheese. I got the 1/2 order of onion rings as my side - I would pass on the onion rings they were not my favorite. It's almost as if I would prefer the Haystack Onion Rings as the side. Everyone in the group seemed satisfied with lunch so maybe a return visit is in the future. From what I hear they get crowded on the weekends so plan accordingly!

Spicy chicken sandwich with the sauce on the side and pepperjack cheese.

Not just burgers. The chicken sandwich was awesome. Wife loves the root beer. Servers were very helpful. Cozy and clean cafe!

Our favorite burger joint in Tulsa! The haystack onion rings are my favorite thing, and the pie is my husband's favorite! Classic burgers, delicious fried chicken, excellent sides, and unbelievable pie! A classic burger vibe from top to bottom. The first place I take anyone visiting town!

Ruby's is a great, local spot for a delicious burger and root beer in a cold mug! I ordered the regular cheeseburger but my husband had one of their specialties, a jalapeño cheeseburger. It was huge! But he loved it! And we shared half orders of the regular fries and the sweet potato fries with cinnamon sugar topping. Service was excellent! Next time I'm going to save some room for a piece of pie!

I was in the mood for a simple traditional hamburger. After a quick search, Ruby's Old Fashioned Hamburgers looked like a perfect match. I couldn't have been more wrong. The Ruby's signature burger was anything but old fashioned. There was a tall stack of fried onion rings between the buns. Now I don't mind the crazy glitz and glamor, especially the crazy presentations of food, but they have to be practical. With the presentation of the Ruby's signature burger, I had to remove the fried onion rings to make the burger remotely old fashioned. Unfortunately, the burger was average at best. No lettuce or tomatoes, just meat and fried pickles and onion rings. The service was fantastic though. The older server was so nice. I did also like the restaurant, friendly vibe. Too bad the burger at Ruby's was anything but old fashioned.

So good! The service was good and quick. They have a variety of burgers to choose from. I really enjoyed mine and the tater tots. Very affordable too and filling!

Update. Wet went back and I just had the single bacon cheeseburger and was able to try the cinnamon roll ice cream, and it was AMAZING.

We decided to eat in the parking lot as it's much safer than driving and eating. However, with the option of people watching that also was a deciding factor on why we should park and eat. There is a nice view of the city, skyline and interesting lights and various different people in the area. Would recommend the chicken sandwich combo, however, would probably recommend to request the mayonnaise on the side as it definitely was seeping out the bottom of the sandwich and the napkin was much needed. Disappointed they did not have french fries so we were not able to try them, but they substituted onion rings and the tater tots which both were good. Tater tots could've probably use some seasoning or salt however they were cooked perfect. The staff was polite and helpful. We can definitely see ourselves stopping here again.

Oklahoma seems to have a certain pride when it comes to burger joints that keep it simple. Tulsa…read morehas many chains, local restaurants and pop-ups that are familiar and filling. Encroaching on a seemingly crowded market can be tough but somehow Howdy feels like an already-established diner. While many newer burger places attempt to overwhelm the consumer, Howdy Burger's approach seems to be keeping things simple and delivering what the people want while staying true to the "burger joint" identity. I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot.

One where the meat juices mix with the mayo and chz and oh so good. Very filling. And the FFs so crispy. Yo won't be disappointed. Tip: for the best burger deal, get Hank's 1/2 lb special. The menu is straight forward, straight out of the 60's style, and the place was poppin' at 2:30 in the afternoon. I ordered the Hank's special with cheese and pickles and onions as my only produce. I also ordered tots. I found out later that I could've got them "loaded", which entails tots being smothered in chili and cheese. Next time for sure. My wife had the single with fries. The fries came out piping hot and for simple fries, they were crisp and tasty. My wife's only complaint is the lettuce was wilty, and that is she doesn't like the onions grilled into the burger. That's not a knock on Hank's, just her preference. Me, I love grilled onions on and in my burger. The burger bun was soft and melded with the burger and cheese into a burger nirvana. I look forward to trying their chili cheese tots next time and their milkshakes looked very tasty. We'll be back for sure.

I usually order my food to go, but on one visit I arrived early and spent some time inside. The front area has a small waiting space with decor that gives a bit of history and personality to the place. They also offer beef for purchase, which is a nice touch if you are someone who enjoys cooking at home. I sat at the bar while I waited, and the service matched what I have come to expect from them. Friendly, attentive, and easygoing. The bartender even helped create a drink based on the flavor profile I described. It had a light citrus note with tequila and was very well balanced. As for the food, the onion burger is my favorite. I always add lettuce and tomato, and their burger sauce brings everything together. The flavors are rich without being overwhelming, and the quality of the beef stands out. The fries deserve their own mention. The regular fries are crispy and well done, and the sweet potato fries are just as good, which makes it hard to choose between the two. I usually get the garlic aioli on the side, and it takes everything up another level. The atmosphere is slightly elevated compared to a typical burger spot, especially in the bar area, but still relaxed enough to feel comfortable.
