We really enjoyed everything. I think the fried pickles were really good. I will say we both agreed they were on the salty side. But we kept eating them because they were tasty. I got the Tender Box Combo: 3 chicken tenders, fries, Texas Toast (it also comes with coleslaw & I replaced it with an order of Texas Toast) & a drink. There's plenty of sauces to choose from, one comes with the combo & I got the Rooster Sauce - which is maybe in the middle on spice level. Each sauce is labeled on the menu with the heat levels at the location (doesn't show online). I really liked the fries. More of a thin cut, nicely seasoned. The Texas Toast was slightly buttered & has a subtle sweetness to it. Speaking of sweetness, the Rooster Sauce is a sweet & spicy chili pepper sauce & paired well with the tenders. There were a few sauces that caught my eye, like the Alabama White Sauce, Comeback Sauce, even the Habanero Oil. The customer service here was really good. Good service and okay food in a sports bar atmosphere. Dan got chicken fingers and fries. I got 2 pieces of chicken, fries, and cucumber salad. We both agreed the chicken fingers were better. The fries were okay when we first got them, but not as good after they started cooling. We were delighted to discover that happy hour is all day on Sundays because we were there on a Sunday. Beer and most cocktails are half price. Dan ordered a beer and I looked at the list of cocktails. Most of their drinks looked sweet. A lot of people like their drinks sweet, but I prefer nothing but club soda or tonic mixed in my cocktails. I found one called Loaded LIT. I didn't know LIT stood for Long Island Ice Tea. The only thing listed in the description were several top shelf liquors. I thought it would be some kind of martini and was surprised when the server set down a drink that filled a water glass. When I asked what was in it that made it so sweet, I learned what LIT stands for. They also have a couple margaritas, a mimosa, and mules half price during happy hour. All their beers are half price. Out for a Sunday lunch with spouse. We sat at the bar which had sports on 4 flat screen TVs. Lady behind the bar was friendly and helpful. I ordered a draft beer and spouse ordered a Loaded Lit. Unfortunately she didn't know that Lit was short for Long Island Tea. She found it undrinkably sweet. For lunch I ordered the 4 tenders basket and she ordered the 1/4 fried chicken dark. We both found the chicken a bit greasy and the fries were shoestring cut. For sauces I chose the buffalo and jalapeño ranch. We came here to grab a bite to eat after playing golf. What a great place! Their chicken and fries were incredible. Also, the had very good service. I have been here several times and must say the service and employee experience have been much better the last year to year and a half. They are nice, friendly and ready to serve customers. The menu offers a variety dishes including sandwiches, tenders, wings, roasted chicken as well as fried. The latest time here I got the Loaded mac with fried chicken which is on the starters menu, but is more of a single dinner entree.The chicken was good and moist, but crunchy and mac was cheesy and not dry. I would have liked a little more flavor in the mac if it was up to me. The dining room is good sized with several 4 person tables/ booths available and a full bar area as well. I have seen several people get the banana pudding for dessert and it looks pretty good, I will have to try this next time. read more

I love fried chicken so it's not a surprise I love Waldo's as well. Minus a few perks, otherwise it's great. Service is excellent. I walked in and immediately was greeted and got help right away. The place is quite well staffed. The chicken is delicious but I am more impressed by their Mac and cheese side. It's really good and has a homemade taste. I wish the sauce would have more of a kick to them. None are spicy. The hottest sauce they have is habanero oil which is not listed on the menu. I mixed that with their other sauce to make give it a kick. Even then, I didn't really feel it coming out the other end, meaning it's not spicy enough. The tenders are small. Every so often I crave good crispy fried chicken. Today was one of those days. After reading reviews, we decided to give it a try, and I am so glad we did. We both ordered the quarter dark chicken meals. It comes with a super flavorful and crispy drumstick and thigh. Craving satiated. The meals come with 2 sides- I got potato wedges and macaroni and cheese. The wedges were seasoned well, and I liked them dipped in ranch. The macaroni and cheese was excellent. My husband got the white beans and fries, and I took a bite of each. The beans come with onions on them, and they were good. The fries were pretty standard. They serve a little cheesy corn muffin with the meals as well. That was a happy little surprise of goodness. Service was fast and friendly. You walk up to order at a counter, and they bring it to the table. They have a full service bar and 1/2 price beer and drinks for happy hour on weekdays. The tables and chairs were all very clean. For Tulsa this is some pretty good fried chicken! I'm a guy that's had some really good chicken from coast to coast, like Waldo's Chicken and Waffles in LA, Gus's Fried Chicken in Memphis and many others. With that in mind, I think Waldo's Chicken and Beer is really good again for Tulsa, OK. So, I don't think it's as good as the other's I mentioned but it was tasty, crunchy and made me feel like it was something I'd get in a grandmas kitchen. That's a big win for me! The service here is pretty good too. For a spot that doesn't really have table side service I was surprised at how attentive the staff onsite were. You get your own drinks and what not which is fine, but there were a couple of folks to came by to check on us during our meal. I won't go into details about the sides but they were all enjoyable. The little corn muffins were pretty yummy too. I am a huge guy so I like huge stuff. These to me were just cute, but yummy none the less. We stumbled across this place. Sundays is 1/2 price drinks all day, huge score for us. They have football playing. We got an Angel Mary and a plain Bloody Mary, their mix is house made and was delicious. It is rare to find a place locally that garnishes, the Angel came with olives, celery, bacon, and chicken wings. We ordered the loaded wedges and they did not disappoint. The chicken is very good, think Raising Cane's but more chicken fried chicken flavor. The sauce options are just ok, and it is pricier than expected. The cheddar bay biscuits are an additional cost, but very tasty. If you have a family and are on a budget, Waldo's probably needs to be an occasional visit. read more

Visited this restaurant around 6:15pm on Sunday, June 30 (2024). I was pleasantly surprised at how straightforward everything was! You enter and the shelf leads you to the bar or to the service-person to place a food order. I was with my cousin, who recommended the spot, and I was pleased with the entire experience. We both ordered tenders, I ordered the 6 piece and a frozen margarita, and basically every sauce they had to offer, including the Rooster! They delivered the drink in 3mins or less. After about 10mins, a very nice server brought us our food. I was overwhelmed with surprise! Everything was great! The chicken was fresh, hot and juicy! It had a light, natural seasoning that made it delectable. Even the margarita was pleasant given the price! It even gave me a little buzz. The sauce variety was truly amazing, I was in heaven. My favorites were the Comeback, Honey Mustard, Jalepeño Ranch, BBQ and Alabama White (surprisingly). I don't think we were able to finish so I was HAPPY to take the rest home. Don't leave here without ordering the biscuits! Better than Red Lobster's (R.I.P.). Overall, the price, quality and delivery (time) makes this restaurant a must add in your fast-food rotation. I met up with a coworker for lunch on Monday and decided to try something new to me. I usually order the wings with the Rooster Sauce and they are delicious! I have ordered them all 4 times I have been before. I branched out and tried their Monday Special which was "Nacho Monday" and came with a drink for $11.99. It was worth every penny! You have the option of fried chicken or rotisserie style and I tried the fried chicken on it. The nachos had chips, friend chicken, their homemade slaw, queso, cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, white beans, jalapenos, and BBQ. Let me tell you this was a mountain of food! The chicken was cooked perfectly and not dried out at all. The chips stayed crispy the entire time. The BBQ gave it a welcome sweetness and the slaw was fantastic. I also ordered a size of their "Rocket Sauce," it was a newer flavor that I had not tried before. I would compare it to, almost a mango habanero heat level. It was a terrific addition to my nachos. I will certainly be ordering these again. I also ordered two individual cheddar biscuits. These things are always pillowy soft and slightly sweet and a must when you go. If you order the tray of cheddar biscuits they come with a side of honey butter. Ok solid 4 and prob will earn that last star once I try some other thing on the menu but... the chicken was tender, crispy and seasoned perfectly. I'm nabbed the club and whatever honey mustard sauce with a small kick they put on there was delicious. I tried their coleslaw but it's a middle slaw meaning it was a mix between creamy but this one was a tad swinging to the vinegar side which is not my fav. Their little cheddar biscuits are a must try as it's a sweet corn bread style that just be careful... don't kill the pan before you eat cause you will. Wife nabbed the foul and she said it was good. She tried the habanero and was quite pleased with the spice level. The wedge fries are literally quarter potatoes slices but we're pretty good. The waitress we had was great! Greeted us at the door talked over the menu and served us drinks. She was great.
