The service is great! Everyone was so kind. I wasn't a huge fan of the food. I had to kind of mix it up in order to make it work. The brisket on top of the Mac and Cheese was really good. If that were a meal I'd come back for that and recommend it. (It may be I didn't look). The bologna was seasoned and I wasn't really a fan. Maybe if it were cooked harder or something I'm not sure. Fun fact: if you want more meat or two meats on a sandwich you can order the two meat meal and just add a bun for $1. I thought that was cool! The baked beans taste like chili beans to me with a little bit of a bbq taste or just like sweet chili beans minus the meat. It's okay... I'd maybe come again to try more of the menu. I ate at the OKC location and I was so excited to learn that Tulsa was getting a Clark Crew. We went on a Sunday afternoon and I was really underwhelmed. I remembered a smoked pineapple cocktail from OKC. There were only three cocktails on the menu. I went with the CCB Brew (Frenzy Brewing) and it was OK. Super light beer. We started with the Brussels sprouts and they were the best thing we had. I know BBQ is getting more and more expensive but the size of the servings were smallish. I went with the 1 meat tray with burnt ends, grilled broccoli and the creamed corn. (I remembered that broccoli fondly from the OKC shop.) Corn was super sweet and just tasted like they had mixed in cream cheese. I didn't finish the broccoli. My one meat tray came out with chips too. The other tray we ordered (two meat with okra and a side salad) did not. We both left feeling totally meh. If someone suggested we go to Clark Crew, we would agree but we wouldn't make this a destination. I hate that b/c I had such high hopes. Service was OK and I loved the music selections! read more

The service was bad, I put my order in online and when I came to the restaurant they never started my order and I was already charged, I waited outside and they locked me out and I had to keep knocking for my food that I already paid for. We met some friends for dinner here, and I get the hype now! It was so good. I highly recommend the fried pickles- they are slightly sweet, and super crispy with a panko breadcrumb. Delicious! This adventure starts with an trip to the dermatologist in Muskogee and a lovely drive on a perfect weather afternoon up to Clark Crew BBQ on 71st in Tulsa. After the hubby and I got out of the appointment, he started talking about what one of the guys in the office was saying about a bbq joint he went to. I told him well crap, now I want Clark Crew BBQ now, so we got on the road to Tulsa, made the order, since we got out early enough from the appointment and it was a gorgeous day for a ride up to Tulsa. While riding up there, we decided upon our dinner. I got the appetizer sampler which had deviled eggs&pickles, fried pickles, wings, celery sticks, pork rinds and the dips to go with it. I also picked up a 1/2 lb of smoked turkey and the hubby got the baked beans, Maddi's mac n cheese with a brisket French dip. This location is at the corner of a larger plaza with plenty of parking. We went in after the lunch rush and were able to be seated right away. There is lots of seating options, a big open space and a full bar. The service was efficient and it wasn't a long wait from the time of ordering to food delivery. If I could give a 3.5 that would be a more accurate rating. I tried this for the first time and I ordered a sandwich that I just was not a fan of. The pimento cheese on the sandwich had jalapeños in it and though it was homemade pimento cheese, I would've preferred it to not have jalapeño peppers. The sandwich also had bologna and ham and bacon. I was not a fan of the flavor of the bologna or the ham. I'm not sure if it was the seasoning or the rub, but it was just not a good flavor for me. It was a very large sandwich so great portion for the price. I'm sure some people enjoy the sandwich so I think it was just my personal taste. I paid three dollars to have an actual side versus the chips. It comes with and unfortunately, I chose the fries based on the waitress suggestion, but did not know they were the fresh cut fries which are just not my favorite and these were soggy not a lot of flavor and definitely not for me. There are other sandwiches and of course other food items on the menu that I think I would be willing to try. I really did like the barbecue sauce. They have three kinds and the sweet was definitely the one I liked. I did not try the spicy because that's not my thing and then the original again the flavor was not for me. They did give me a flight of pickles after I asked and these pickles were amazing so that was an amazing thing to enjoy with my meal. I was also disappointed that the waitress though friendly and gave OK service I had to ask about recommendations. I even mentioned it was my first time, but there was no let me answer questions that you have, let me suggest things, I had to keep asking. like the pickles I had to ask do they have pickles? Nothing was offered. Nothing was suggested so I don't appreciate that. This is a semi new place. You should be asking if someone is there for the first time or even if you don't ask that you should always be willing to make recommendations And talk to the customer. The atmosphere is overwhelmingly positive with friendly staff that made you feel right at home. The seating options are great and super clean building. I got the 2 choices of meat tray entree, I was recommended to get the sausage links with jalapeño and smoked turkey, 2 sides that I got was creamed corn, mac n cheese and the corn bread came with it. Tulsa has a new barbecue restaurant and it's called Clark Crew. The ambiance was clean and modern with an attentive staff We ordered a Judges tray. The sauces were not to my liking but good barbecue does not need a sauce. I'll give a rundown of the meats. We tried this place based off Facebook reviews which can be hit or miss... this was definitely a hit! Just look at the pics. It's as good as it looks. The places immaculately clean. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly. I got the full scoop about the owner, his family, competitions they've won, how the dishes got their names... everything. I love that. A lot of servers at other restaurants could care less about all that background and history. Their menu is so big that I'm going to have to come back 5-6 more times to try everything. read more

We were in the area and found this restaurant by chance. The employees were very patient with all of my gluten free questions and even called the manager to come and talk to me to make sure all was good. The meat, sauce and many of the sides are GF. (FYI- The fryer is a shared fryer.) I ordered chopped pork, BBQ beans and potato salad. OH MY, OH MY...the pork had such a FANTASTIC flavor I didn't need any sauce to go with it. You can't cover up perfection with sauce! The BBQ beans were also very good. This was such a great find. We will definitely be back! Just outstanding bar-b-que. The dozens of awards on the walls are testimony to the quality--including awards from the nation's premier competitions. Four adults and two children ordered a variety of meals and I sampled all the meats. A pizza was a surprising option for a BBQ place but it rivaled the best of any pizza joint. Burnt ends were juicy and smoky. Chopped pork had smoke on the inner-most pieces. A grilled cheeseburger was worth passing BBQ meat. Our youngest member was enraptured by a bowl of mac and cheese, Service was exceptional. Th he interior was very clean and well lit, larger than it looks from the outside. I feel like the OKC location is better. The staffs at the OKC location were so friendly. They saw me standing outside taking pictures of the kitchen equipments and let me have a quick tour of the inside. The location in Tulsa doesn't have the same magical effect. This is not to say that the workers are not friendly. The food is about the same. Ribs are good but they are somewhere in the middle good, not the most smoky, not the most fatty, and not the most tender. Should be a little higher than 3 stars though. read more

We visited Clark Crew recently because we have heard great things and it WAS great! Walking in, you'll find many trophies and awards lined up on shelves. The restaurant is spacious with a ton of seating - brightly lit as well. We ordered the 3 meat tray with turkey, brisket, burnt ends, creamed corn, baked beans, and an extra rib to try. Turkey - moist and flavorful - not too salty. Great balance to the other fatty meats. Brisket - thinly cut and in my opinion, too thin, but had great flavor. Burnt ends - these were awesome and actually more tender than the sliced brisket, which was a head-scratcher. Loved them! Rib - so I like my ribs to fall off the bone tender, these were not like that. I think these will please a lot of people though. It had great flavor and even though it wasn't fall off the bone tender, they were still really good. Creamed corn - nice pellet cleanser. Delish! Baked beans - I don't even like baked beans, but these were pretty good! Cornbread - not dry! Good stuff! Overall, I thought the food was awesome, the service was prompt and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back! read more

We enjoyed our experience very much. Wait staff were very helpful and friendly. Sausage was not what you'd expect from a bbq place but it was great! Garlic pork. Pulled pork was also excellent but the star of the show was that cornbread. Wow. I'll be returning just for it. Only complaint is that we sat in a booth and the lighting was extra bright and at a level where it's right in your eyes. Hopefully they can tone that down a bit. read more

Cons: i've been here twice since they've opened. Once to meet a friend. At that time service was chaotic. There were several new people training. Second attempt. I wanted to order to go so I went on the website. But online ordering is currently not available at this location so the system ordered my food from the Oklahoma City location. When I noticed what it happened I had to call them and cancel my order. They said that several people that week have had to do that because the system was automatically submitting orders to Oklahoma City. What a pain. Pros: my friend was really impressed with their housemaid chips? I thought they were OK. Definitely better when dipped in the barbecue sauce. I really liked the food. Got my husband the dry rub ribs, barbecue baked beans, potato salad. I got the brisket pizza. It was good, but I won't be getting it again. Too heavy. I may try their other pizzas in the future. From traveling, life tips, meeting new people, generally, I'm open to new things. This would obviously include being open-minded when it comes to food. I've tried most things at least once I usually like it enough to try it again. One thing I am particular about is Bar-B-Que. I don't know if it's my Oklahoma heritage but I get upset if BBQ isn't made well (or atleast to my liking). After trying Clark Crew's BBQ and seeing what they have to offer, I'm convinced that they may have what it takes to stick around. I visited Clark Crew BBQ on Friday September 20th (2024) around 12:15pm. Considering the lunch hour I knew it'd be busy. Unbeknownst to me, this restaurant was newly introduced to Tulsa (BRAND new). Two coworkers suggested it so I tagged along. I think the location is perfect because the area hosts so many iconic restaurants and it's in sort of a BBQ desert. Considering how crowded it was, there was still plenty of parking. As we entered through the front doors into the small waiting area, you'll immediately notice the modern barn/farm décor with trophies, open pipes, and ranch-style fixations all over. You'll proceed through two more double-doors and see the host podium straight ahead and the to-go counter to your right (very efficient setup). To the left was the dine-in section which was indeed impressive: a full-length bar, two rows of high-tops, viewable kitchen, an array of tables and booths. Plus, if you keep walking, there's an outside dining area as well. Plenty of space! There was a 10-15min wait for a table for 3 (as expected being a lunch-hour on Friday). There were people coming in & out so I didn't mind the wait. We received a text and then we were led to the booth (right around the corner from the kitchen). Our server (Hailey) was very nice - handed out menus, immediately bringing out our preferred drinks, giving us time to think and kindly answered the few questions we each had. Upon her first check, Hailey came back with a complimentary tray of pickle slices(?), half sweet and half spicy. I had also asked about the Burnt Ends, which I almost ordered and, after Hailey vouched for them I asked for a sample. She checked with the kitchen and brought some out! After the 2nd check, we each were ready. I ordered the 2-meat tray (sliced brisket & ribs) with baked beans and mac & cheese. The wait for the food wasn't too long, perhaps less than 15mins. First, the complimentary pickles (half sweet and half spicy) were interestingly delectable. The way they were pickled wasn't overwhelmingly sweet or spicy. The spicy pickles were spicier the more you chewed but still not bad. There's 3 types of House-BBQ sauce at the table (spicy, original & sweet) and after trying all three, the sweet was my favorite so I had the rest of the meal with it. Our server brought out 4 large chunks of brisket (burnt ends) and they did not let me down! They weren't dry or rough at all! Very juicy, bouncy and large bites of meat (more meat than skin honestly). You judge a BBQ spot by it's brisket..and it was cooked to perfection: four thick cuts of soft, yet firm, meat slices. The ribs didn't turn out to be as spectacular but still cooked well, still a solid choice. Unfortunately I wasn't as much of a fan of the mac & cheese. It was a wet Mac, not gooey and wasn't much more than a wet noodle. However, BIG fan of the baked beans - hearty, flavorful beans with obvious meat and veggies mixed in. What I ordered came with complimentary cornbread which I loved. I'm a fan of sweet, soft and barely-done cornbread. I also tried the sausage link and I think it was wonderful - juicy consistency, smokey flavor and it gets spicier as you chew. I was told that the sweet Tea was not good (not sweet enough). Through our meal, two managers (one male & one female) did come by and ask if everything was running smooth which is always a nice touch. Given that Oklahoma is a flagship Bar-B-Que destination, the competition is very fierce. There's an array of choices in Tulsa and it depends on what you want vs how much you want to spend. Though I've only visited once, I could see Clark Crew rising to the top of the list among the pricier local BBQ spots. They have an insane amount of menu choices, a robust amount of indoor space, a convenient location and good staffing thus far. Though the menu has variety for the cost-conscious customer, the upcharge on the most popular meats is a bit disappointing. Overall, I think Clark is a unique specialty dine-in BBQ destination with more than enough for everybody. As long as the meats can continue to be consistent, they shouldn't have a problem filling up on a weekly basis, especially with exceptional service. I'll be glad to revisit and try different combinations. read more

Believe the 2 and 3 star reviews. Just had the 3 meat tray, ribs, brisket and smoked chicken. Sides were potato salad, baked beans and coleslaw. The brisket was dry with no flavor and cut so thin you almost see thru it. The chicken had no flavor either, no seasoning at all, just plain and slapped with bbq sauce. The ribs were dry, bland, very little seasoning or smoke flavor. The potato salad, beans and cornbread was the best thing on the tray. The coleslaw looked and tasted like it was made days ago, very soggy! Don't know how they got all of those awards but it's not from what they're serving in the restaurant. I liked the chips and peppers on the nachos, but I could physically count the very small pieces of chicken on the nachos. Though the chicken was tasty, there was not much of it.
