    Interior--order at counter

This review is for the Harvard Street store, which is super easy to find with plenty of parking. What struck me immediately was the friendly service--not always the case--duh--at places where you order at the counter and then everything is delivered to your table. But I will be a repeat visitor whenever I'm in Tulsa for the ribs alone--meaty, tender and great smoked taste. We also thought the turkey was excellent--tender, moist and again just enough smoke to set it off. Hot links were exceptional too. Totally impressed with the sides, crispy okra, creamy Mac and cheese and slaw with a bit of bite. Comfy tables and booths, clean and well kept. Stay awhile! First but not last time at Albert's

Delicious BBQ!!! Ribs was made fresh and tender with that good smoke flavor! Tender as ever! Mac and cheese was creamy and just perfect! My fav here!!!! Potato salad is more mayo than mustard how I like!!!!! My toast was just little hard.... But service was great. Workers so friendly! The parking lot is little and always crazy be careful!!! Pretty much self service once you order and sit down.

Albert G's first opened to the Tulsa public in 1992 at a refurbished gas station. Now it's available at the Harvard, Downtown, and Tulsa Hills location. Most people know Albert G's for their smoked meats, few know that it's anti-scurvy, especially the founder Chuck Gawey. The steamed broccoli at Albert G's is truly terrible. It tastes like the broccoli is steamed in lemon juice, extremely sour. I feel protected from scurvy for the next 3 years by eating half of the steamed broccoli. The good news is the fried okra is a lot better; thank goodness! Nothing beats the fried okra from Oklahoma Joe's though. The ribs are the restaurant's biggest highlight, very flavorful and savory, a little dry than one would desire, but delicious otherwise.

A Saturday lunch with my wife saw us at Albert G's barbecue. I have been here before but it has been years so a revisit was in order. The staff was as friendly as ever. The food soon arrived and I was reminded that Tulsa is indeed a good city for barbecue. The ribs are not the most tender but certainly didn't disappoint in flavor and was just tender enough to be enjoyed. The barbecue beans were very well done the right level of spice to make them interesting but not over power your taste buds. The chopped brisket was smoky and moist. The atmosphere was modernly industrial as befits a modern commercial barbecue restaurant. I definitely recommend Albert G's for good Tulsa barbecue

Tried Albert Gs for the first time today. I love BBQ and am somewhat of a stickler. I know it's a Tulsa staple but the brisket was super dry. Ribs were solid. We got 5 in the combo platter. The sides were good and portions were solid as well. They were out of burnt ends so I didn't get to try them. Not sure I'll go back, was hoping to like it but the brisket killed it for me. Service was good.

Good stuff over at Albert G's. Ordered up the three meat combo. Brisket, Pulled Pork and Hot Links. All very yummy. Good Smokey flavor. Nice and casual establishment with a fair amount of seating.

I ordered 2lbs of brisket and 1lbs turkey. I don't think they can call this BBQ. This is clearly baked. They need to be upfront about this. The Brisket is dry and no smoke ring. Out two lbs, they gave me only the flat, no slices of the point. Honestly the worst brisket I've had in a while. The turkey was okay, and their "hot" bbq sauce had no heat to it.

The sliced brisket dinner with double tabouleh. Toast. They offer a pickle bar too!!! Enjoy!

Worth the travel and sit in... (can take it to go too). We prefer to sit in and dine. Everything on that menu is worth a try!! I always have to have a heap of tabouleh in my order. There is great Q eats here. We have had no complaints while at Albert G's. Friendly staff. Well stocked pickle bar. This place is usually busy when we try to find a middle time frame to stop in. It's busy for a reason, because the food is so good!!

*** Review is during Covid-19 *** Takeout process was easy, and you go inside to pick it up. Workers were wearing masks and people were spread out. I ordered the pulled pork dinner. I'm not sure if I was thinking of something else, but the meat wasn't as small as I remember. I think I was expecting something that was more super finely chopped, and with this the pieces were a lot bigger than that. Still a manageable size though, and definitely still tasted good. The flavor was there and had a smokiness to it. It was on the more dry side, but I think this is a good thing for this kind of meat? I'm not really sure, haha... All I know is it gives me a good excuse to use loads of bbq sauce! Speaking of, I believe they make their own? Don't quote me on that but I think I've heard that somewhere. I do wish they gave us more of the bbq sauce with our takeout, since I do tend to use a lot more than probably the average person. I also wish I'd remembered to ask for some of the spicier kind, though the regular is still flavorful. The pulled pork dinner came with two sides so I got fries and tabouli. I liked the seasoning on the fries. I pretty much always get tabouli here (and other places if I can) and it tasted more flavorful than I remembered, though it's always been good. It made me smile that they also give you two pieces of white bread - not toasted or seasoned or anything - just plain white bread. I know this is common but I just think it's kind of funny for some reason. I also like that for takeout they don't forget to send you home with some pickles, peppers, and onions!

We started with the bacon jam, which was everything you'd expect, but was a tad bit too sweet to eat a lot of. We then moved on to the Idaho trout and grilled chicken. For sides we had the Brussels sprout appetizer with bacon, apples, honey, and goat cheese...WOW! We also had the potato pave. The potatoes were yummy once we added salt and pepper. Without it, they were extremely bland, but once seasoned, I devoured all of them. Finish them with flaky salt before serving, it makes a huge difference. For dessert we had the orange marmalade bread pudding. It was ok, but I wish we chose something else. The flavors just didn't mesh. We will happily go back and will 100% recommend this restaurant to our friends.

This place is the best bbq in Oklahoma, and I know that's a bold statement for something out of a trailer, and yet it's true. I absolutely stalk good bbq places and so I usually don't put too much stock in them meeting me expectations. But when you see Nick pull that brisket out of that brown waxed paper and watch the jiggle as he slices through that amazing bark, you'll realize you've hit the jackpot. We grabbed the food for 2 and it was an incredible sampler of all of their meats. And the sides... GET THE BACON CHEESE GRITS. Holy moly rolly poly that little styrofoam cup should come with a warning label because it's absolutely ridiculous. The chicken was so juicy, I was almost more impressed by it honestly. The beans have a Smokey sweet flavor that is perhaps the best bbq beans in Oklahoma if not the country. The pulled pork was also tender and sweet, expertly cooked. The brisket was tender and easy to chew. The ribs were perhaps the second weakest part of the meal. That said I have eaten worse in most places in Tulsa. They were tender but in my opinion could have been better. The chicken was the weakest part of the meal. It was a bit dry but tolerable. The potato salad was creamy soft with just a slight hint of vinegar you expect to taste in potato salad in a perfect balance of flavors and textures. We ordered the Mac and cheese was very cheesy and included a cheese pull with a slight funk in the aftertaste that makes it very different dish from the standard offering at other places.
