Super friendly! If I lived in the area, it would be very tempting to come every Saturday. We came here during our honeymoon and when I saw I still talk and think about how tender the beef brisket was (even COLD) -- I don't think I ever had such good tasting bbq and experience. The sides had their own flare (please get at least 2 sides) they were soo sooo good! And they paired really well with the bbq. He knows what he is doing and this is coming from someone who loved bbq and will probably judge bbq for real in the future. Also I think the prices are fair and reasonable considering the high quality and care Highly recommend!

The lean and fatty brisket. Most excellent.

Excellence as advertised! I really hate it when a business advertises itself to be something and it turns out that they are not. That is NOT an issue with KillerWail BBQ. This guy ( Austin native) advertises his work as authentic Hill Country Texass BBQ and he delivers spot-on. James LOVES heading to Austin and feasting on great low and slow bbq, but now I can get that great taste in Tulsa. Usually on the truck he has brisket (fatty and lean available), pulled pork and pork ribs as far as meat goes, and potato salad, coleslaw, and beans as a side. The brisket is best I've had in Tulsa, not quite as good as Snow's or Kreuz in Texass but those are a pretty high bar. I love how his brisket has nice bark on the fat. He uses just a salt n pepper rub like you are supposed to for Texass bbq. Haven't had the pulled pork yet, but the pork ribs are better than anything I've had in the Hill Country so they are def worth heading to KW to try. The coleslaw is def his best side and worth a try, even if like me you don't usually like coleslaw. His stuff is very reasonably priced for the quality of his product. He has a sauce there but only bbq newbies would ever dream of putting sauce on his brisket or ribs. Facebook is the best way to contact the guy for his schedule. Like I said, if you like the slow and low meat out of the Austin area this is a damn good substitute until you can get back there for bbq.

Oh my! So i am not a bbq fan. No I *AM* but I am the world's biggest snob when it comes to bbq. And it takes a lot to wow me but Had Killer Wail for member lunch at 36 Degrees North & I am in love! The slaw had a touch of cilantro & the red wine vinegar was the perfect touch. But the brisket, the brisket stole the damn show. I got the delicious, bark end & Seriously delicious & the bbq master himself was encouraging feedback & criticism! The beat bbq in Tulsa--hands down!

All I can say is WOW!!! The best BBQ in Tulsa hands down. Brisket, Pulled Pork amazing. Smoked chicken salad rocked. Try them out fast.

We ordered the tri tip dip sandwich which was the highlight of the meal. It was delicious. We also ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and that was full of flavor. The focaccia was on the dryer side and the chicken didn't fill out the bun so it was just kind of off texture wise and lacking fullness but the favor was 10/10. The chips and red onion dip were a nice little touch. Something I've never had before and we enjoyed it

We started with the bacon jam, which was everything you'd expect, but was a tad bit too sweet to eat a lot of. We then moved on to the Idaho trout and grilled chicken. The trout was perfectly cooked, the sauce and vegetables were the perfect pairing for a light dish. The grilled chicken had a nice assortment of gnocchi and a delicious onion cream sauce. For sides we had the Brussels sprout appetizer with bacon, apples, honey, and goat cheese...WOW! We also had the potato pave. The potatoes were yummy once we added salt and pepper. Without it, they were extremely bland, but once seasoned, I devoured all of them. Finish them with flaky salt before serving, it makes a huge difference. For dessert we had the orange marmalade bread pudding. It was ok, but I wish we chose something else. The flavors just didn't mesh. We will happily go back and will 100% recommend this restaurant to our friends.

Fellow friends, you better get on it before people taste this bit of heaven or they will start running out of bbq to share. We got the chubby cheeks taco, a beef rib and heritage pork rib. Everything was just love. I can't explain it well enough but when you try, you'll know what I'm taking about. My absolute favorite was the Beef rib. The beef rib was melt in the mouth, succulent and perfectly seasoned. My bbq soul is complete. Their bbq sauce they have is fantastic and their other sauces are killer too! The service was fantastic. They were extremely nice and helpful. It's a food truck so I'm sure they move around but this time they were located behind American Solera. I can confidently say they are the bbq masters of Tulsa. I can't believe Tulsa would have such amazing BBQ but these folks do it right. Overall, it's the best BBQ I've ever put in my mouth! They know exactly what they are doing with their meats. Stop, stop, STOP. Whatever else you're thinking about going to eat, just forget about it…read more You've found the place you're looking for. This place is the best bbq in Oklahoma, and I know that's a bold statement for something out of a trailer, and yet it's true. These guys just took over ownership a couple weeks ago so I expect it to get even better with time. TULSA IS WINNING. I absolutely stalk good bbq places and so I usually don't put too much stock in them meeting me expectations. But when you see Nick pull that brisket out of that brown waxed paper and watch the jiggle as he slices through that amazing bark, you'll realize you've hit the jackpot. We grabbed the food for 2 and it was an incredible sampler of all of their meats. And the sides... GET THE BACON CHEESE GRITS. Holy moly rolly poly that little styrofoam cup should come with a warning label because it's absolutely ridiculous. The chicken was so juicy, I was almost more impressed by it honestly. But brisket of this tier is just such a rare find... the other two with me easily admitted it was the best they've had in their entire life. Ribs too. We also didn't expect to be able to find an open patio on a Saturday, but the outdoor space provided created such a laid back experience with the outdoor tables I felt like I could kick back, eat some Q and let all the stresses of the world melt away. Go. Just go. Go now. The lines on this place are going to be a mess soon, I'm sure. So get there now before everyone and their dog starts standing in line until they sell out like a certain unnamed Ft Worth place I know.

The decor is all about BBQ and blues. This is definitely no corporate contrived eatery. There is a genuine feel of the bluesy barbecue world. We ordered the Nelson's plate for 2. We substituted the bologna and hot link for chicken and pulled pork. The barbecue is the real thing. The beans have a Smokey sweet flavor that is perhaps the best bbq beans in Oklahoma if not the country. The pulled pork was also tender and sweet, expertly cooked. The brisket was tender and easy to chew. The ribs were perhaps the second weakest part of the meal. That said I have eaten worse in most places in Tulsa. They were tender but in my opinion could have been better. The chicken was the weakest part of the meal. It was a bit dry but tolerable. The potato salad was creamy soft with just a slight hint of vinegar you expect to taste in potato salad in a perfect balance of flavors and textures. We ordered the Mac and cheese was very cheesy and included a cheese pull with a slight funk in the aftertaste that makes it very different dish from the standard offering at other places. While I'm not a sauce user I tasted the sweet and the hot sauces. The sweet was very sweet and the hot definitely hit with a sting I normally avoid but I'm sure would be welcome to the well initiated. I definitely recommend Elmer's barbecue for those pining for blues and barbecue

The chopped brisket carries that perfect Tulsa flavor. It's not trying to be Austin, it's not chasing trends, it's just deeply smoked, tender, and unapologetically saucy in a way that makes you rethink why you ever bothered with sliced brisket at all. The ribs come out with that gentle tug, not the fall apart nonsense, the kind of rib that tells you the pitmaster actually respects the craft. And the hot links bring the heat in that slow, creeping way that makes you nod to yourself like, yeah, this is the right kind of trouble. But the buttermilk pie is the closer. The secret handshake. The thing that makes you sit back in your chair and realize you're not in a restaurant, you're in a home that just happens to have a smoker out back.
