We really wanted this place to have fantastic food. It is an individually owned barbecue place and we love patronizing those type of businesses. The staff is super friendly and inviting. However, it takes more than that to make a good spread of barbecue and this place just doesn't compare to good Oklahoma barbecue. We ordered a loaded, baked potato with beef., short ribs, baked beans .. The price is very reasonable and fair. The food did not taste like there was any smoke pit involved. The meat was dry, baked beans were runny flavors just weren't there. It is a cute little place with an eclectic decor. I want to say again the staff was wonderful, but I wasn't there to hang out with staff. I was there to get great barbecue. Ugg read more

Visiting Tulsa for a conference and came across this place by sheer coincidence. This is the best bbq I've had in a long long time. The ribs are impeccable, smoked perfectly, and comes with a spicy bbq sauce that burns sooo good. The sauce starts a little sweet but the afterburn will catch up with you. The chopped beef is also great, it is cooked just right and soaks up that sauce- a perfect pairing. A short drive from Osage Casino, def worth the drive. read more

On our road trip from the west coast, we stopped in Tulsa for lunch. We found Oklahoma Style Bar-b-que and we were so glad we did. The food was amazing! We ordered the three meat combo which included brisket, chicken and hot links, all equally good. We tried their smoked bologna which was so tasty. Matty hooked us up ribs and all the sides and honestly they fantastic! Matty treated us like family. If you are ever in Tulsa, I highly recommend this place. read more

These guys do some seriously good eats. There is something about their smoked bologna that makes it disappear as soon as I get my hands on it. This then make me full of baloney so take the rest of the review with a grain of bbq sauce. They have the usual sandwich combos and dinner entrees which comes with two sides, I usually stick to those and choose my level of pigging out. A brisket and ribs combo will set you right but if you want to take it up a notch go 3 meat with some hot links. The chopped brisket is good on sandwiches but I prefer sliced if I am doing a dinner. The ribs are usually good with loads of meat and a great smoky flavor. I only get chopped brisket if I am having sandwiches and I want a little left over, if not its all sliced brisket. They have the usually sides, I usually go light on those and get the turnip greens and coleslaw or beans. The beans are a bit on the sweet side but good if you have been hitting the hot BBQ sauce a little too hard. The sweet sauce reminds my of my favorite for the sandwiches. All in this is a great little joint serving up some good portions of awesome BBQ. read more

New location, post COVID and still delicious. The spare ribs were smoky and flavorful. Unfortunately I got the short ribs end piece which was a little dry. The sides were expertly seasoned. Of course an Oklahoma native eating with me had to order the smoked bologna sandwich. How this can be considered bbq remains a mystery to me. The most memorable feature of this restaurant wasn't the bbq, spacious seating or reasonable prices, it was the over the top friendliness of the cashier and kitchen staff. read more

Great food! Some of the best barbecue in Tulsa, we use to drive from downtown out there at lunch once or twice a week!

Service was fast and friendly and the cue was good. Slightly spicy & sweet sauce on tender sliced brisket. I got the sliced brisket sandwich to go. It consisted of a large portion of the aforementioned sauced beef (you have the option of sauce on the side) and 3 slices of white bread separated from the meat by waxed paper. Create your own sandwich. I'm in the area frequently and I know I'll be going back. read more

The Food Is NASTY but good Customer service!! Friendly environment but I wouldn't recommend

My cousin visited this place quite often. Every time he made a post on social media, I made sure to check them out. I'm a BBQ lover, it was only right & this place serves incredible food. I got the dinner that comes with two meats & two sides along with your choose of roll or cornbread. My meats were the links & chopped beef. It comes with a variety of BBQ sauces, I went with the sweet sauce & their spicy sauce (ask for both so you can get the best of both worlds). My two sides were the green beans & baked beans. Their beans don't need BBQ sauce, they're super good with the right sweetness. The green beans help balance out the sweet from the baked beans with the salty. I ordered the peach cobbler as well. They have a plethora of sweets to choose from, including a dessert that's on a separate menu (along with fish specials as well). The cobbler was SO good. If you have room for dessert, do yourself (& your stomach) a favor & get one. read more

I have been eating at Oklahoma style for years and I never noticed they had loaded baked potatoes. I was not disappointed! It was the biggest potato I've ever had. Oklahoma style has great chopped beef and links so it definitely hit the spot with the sweet bbq sauce. They are not skimpy with the meat or bbq sauce. I honestly think this potato is way better than across the street at Rubicon's. Hidden gem!! I will be back for another one when I am in town. read more

OK so I had to have a barbecue fix and I came and checked this out since it was close by work. Lobby was empty so there's no wait that I could see. I guess you could call ahead and would be quicker for you if you're in a hurry. I had the chopped brisket dinner and I they don't have sliced brisket I don't know why? For my sides I chose potato salad and baked beans. So barbecue was pretty good warm it could've been hotter not spice just hotter. The sides tasted like out of Walmart deli not homemade not original and in a little tiny small container. I wouldn't even counted as a side it was probably two bites and then it was gone. Customer service was OK got a half a smile. While I was there, a customer called and said that they had left out one of their meats, when the lady hung up the phone she started to talk crap about him saying he was lying etc. Lobby looked clean and smelled like bleach. read more

I knew this place was here, but never took the time to stop and eat here. It was very good! The dinners and a plate full of meat my 9 year old was wanting ribs, so I got her the adult plate and she pigged out. It was way more than her tummy could hold, but she gave it her best. The sides were very good as well and you have to have super soft bread to sop up the BBQ sauce! We had dessert also and nothing was disappointing! I will have to make this a regular stop on our days when we are craving BBQ! read more

I love the sweet potato pies, ribs and turnip greens! Well worth the drive across town

Poor service. I was told how great this place was. I ordered on my way to work as we are not allowed to leave work for lunch. Call placed at 1740, was told about 30 minutes. Arrived in drive through at 1812, set in drive through behind 4 cars that never moved. I went in at 1825, finally got to the register at 1835. The lady went in the back and said it wasn't done yet and I was behind 3 other orders, they had misplaced my ticket, so now I have to wait behind people that was just ordering. I had to cancel order as now I am late for work waiting on this place. Tried to call and the lady that answered could care less and hung up. Was told how good this places food was, guess I will not find out as I will not go back if this is how there customer service is. read more

Very good. Ribs have a lot of meat, and are very good. Chopped Beef and bologna were awesome. Great sides as well.

Great food but slow service. I can tell that the food is not always fresh especially if you go later in the day. However the customer service is top notch very professional and greeted with a smile. I love the food I just want the meat to fresh and not dried out like it's been sitting under a heat lamp or in elements of the air which tends to turn the food a darker hue. read more

Best BBQ in Tulsa! I grew up almost across the street from Pete's BBQ of 36th st. North. When we moved away, we never found BBQ as good. Not in Texas, Memphis, or California. When I moved back home a few years ago, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Oklahoma Style BBQ was Pete's family. Mattie Pearl has kept the family tradition going and is offering the best BBQ in Tulsa and maybe the state. I'm often seen breaking my diet at this place. Not as much these days, but if you want the best BBQ in town, get to Oklahoma Style BBQ. My favorites are chopped beef, ribs and bologna ( a childhood fav) Everything is good. read more

After a long day at the Tulsa Zoo, I talked my family (all 13 of us) into trying Oklahoma Style Bar-B-Q after one of the park employees recommended it. Being from Western New York, it's hard to find a great bar-b-q. We usually settle for Famous Dave's because it's good and within driving distance. We arrived there after 7 p.m. on a Tuesday, so we did not have a crowd to deal with. The majority of my family is very skeptical about trying new places. I could see it on their faces as we entered the restaurant, but I think when the smell of the bar-b-q hit them, they were turned. The menu was not huge, but did have enough to offer for everyone. My wife, son and I ordered a family meal deal, which included 2 pounds of meat and two large sides and three drinks. Plenty for us, whit a little left over to take home. The rest got individual meals for around $7-$8. All meals came with a few slices of bread and two sauces. The ribs, chopped beef and chicken were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The side dishes of cole slaw, potato salad were amazing. Nice flavor. The two sauces (one hot one mild) were outta this world! Sweet, but not too sweet! Spicy, but not too spicy! The sauce was so good, we even brought home a gallon back with us to New York State. Did not try their selection of homemade pies, but the pecan, sweet potato and cheesecakes looked superb. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and hospitable. Gve five-stars because of the great tasting food and staff. read more

A no-frills, hole in the wall kinda joint, that seems to do decent business at lunch time from the nearby industrial area. This place is a favorite of a vendor I was visiting, and he warned "it's in the hood" - even better, so it must be decent then. Probably worth 3.5 starts; I liked the ribs and the hot links, but the sides taste like an afterthought. They have two different sauces available - sweet and hot. Of course, I ended up drizzling both on my meat. Cheap, plentiful, good meat and popular would be my best description. read more

We've been trying out new to us bbq places from all around our area from NE corner of Oklahoma to Blackwell west of us and several in Tulsa/Broken Arrow are--this one is getting the highest marks so far! Good sides but really we came for the meat! Great value for you money. Husband got rib dinner and I got two meat dinner of ribs and chopped brisket. First the brisket--moist and smoky. I don't use a lot of sauce but when I started getting full I had to try both sweet and hot. Sweet has an underlying flavor of a fruity preserve-/delish. The hot is hot but if doesn't grab you until you swallow then the HEAT IS ON. DELISH. Now ribs-- smoky, lots of meat, good bark, moist, great bite and they didn't cut them from the slab until we ordered which kept them moist. Definitely recommend definitely be back. Really nice staff too. Oh bought their sweet potato pie but was to full to try it. That review will have to be later. But I've read it's great. read more

We wanted to have some BBQ meats when we were in Tulsa and came across this place when yelping. This down home family style restaurant is quite roomy inside. It wasn't busy when we arrived for a late lunch. When we first walked in, the aroma of the smoked meats blew us away. It just smelled so good. The staff were very friendly and helpful with our menu selection since this was the first time we were there. We ordered the two 3 meat plates with pork ribs, short ribs, lean beef, chopped beef, smoke bologna and hot link. But to be honest, the smell of the smoked meats was actually better than the taste. I have never had smoked bologna before, so I was intrigued by what it would taste like. It actually wasn't bad. Their portions were big and it came with very fresh bread slices too. For those who want to get a BBQ fix, head on down to this place, it's not bad. But for me, the meat just wasn't as tender and tasty as I would like it to be. read more

Great food!! You don't need teeth to chew their tasty tender meat!!!

Go here for good bbq. Love the daily special (I get the shredded lean beef and smoked bologna). I've loved this place since before they moved into their newer, larger building. Seriously a Tulsa gem. This place was easy to miss, from outside it looks very rundown. Once you are inside it is clean. I ordered 3 meat combo. Ribs were decent, sliced beef tasted kinda like deli meat, stale and cold. Overall not bad food for how cheap the prices are. Now, all the employees were indifferent, looked exhausted. Kitchen lady, please wear a hair net!!! I mean you are cooking with your hair down! read more
