Believe the 2 and 3 star reviews. Just had the 3 meat tray, ribs, brisket and smoked chicken. Sides were potato salad, baked beans and coleslaw. The brisket was dry with no flavor and cut so thin you almost see thru it. The chicken had no flavor either, no seasoning at all, just plain and slapped with bbq sauce. The ribs were dry, bland, very little seasoning or smoke flavor. The potato salad, beans and cornbread was the best thing on the tray. The coleslaw looked and tasted like it was made days ago, very soggy! Don't know how they got all of those awards but it's not from what they're serving in the restaurant. Really fallin off. Used to love this place but every time I go there now the food is not done well. Ribs are dry and skimpy, brauts are tough, corn bread was my favorite part of going to Clark crew and last 3 times the corn bread has been hard and overcooked. We had the worst customer service experience at the restaurant today at 1 PM. After being seated it was 10 minutes before the waiter showed up to the table. We placed our drink order and I asked for lemon with my water. After several minutes the waiter returned with the drinks and no lemon. I reminded him politely that I wanted to some, his response was oh yeah. After waiting another 10 minutes, I finally got up and found another waitress who very promptly got me some lemon. After waiting another 10-15 minutes we still didn't have our food. The waiter never came by to update us. I could see a manager standing nearby. He made eye contact with us and noticed that we had been waiting a long time. But he never came by the table to check on us. I do appreciate the waitress that got me the lemon, but overall it was one of the worst customer service experiences we have had. read more

Ok! It's Saturday at 4:55 pm and my son and I walk in. We are looking forward to the BBQ since we really like the Clark Crew in OKC. We get seated promptly. Then we wait! And wait! And wait! Multiple servers, managers, and other patrons walk by our table. Nothing. No drink order or service for 25 minutes. We walk out at 5:22. Very, very disappointed! I gave two stars knowing the food will live up to the goodness we have received in the past at their OKC location but never again in Tulsa at 71st and 169. Good luck! read more

Don't bother. For the money there are better places. Ordered 2 meat plate. Chips and beans sliced brisket and pulled pork. Chips crisp and not excessively greasy although very over seasoned with lawreys seasoning. The flavor of the beans was ok. Portion size was small and, texture all over the map. They were likely served from a mix of different batches. Brisket was over cooked and dry. The pork was good but not exceptional. I can't decide whether the portions were small or the box way too big or both. Meats came wrapped in paper w/ cornbread, sides came separately in the bag. Due to the Presentation, price value perception was very low. Individual sauce packets are packed by the restaurant's provisioned company. Sauce is thick and high in molasses. Sauce is lacking the necessary water, acidity and tomato and spice to balance the molasses. Maybe a 6-7out of 10? Meh. I felt like I knew when I was walking in that this wasn't going to be the best BBQ I'd ever had. (This was just because of the decor.) When it comes to BBQ places in Oklahoma, it's fair to say they are on every corner. What is less common is truly amazing ones. But what I have found in Oklahoma is there's two types of barbecue restaurants, the one off mom and pop restaurants that cook on old school style smokers and the commercial barbecue restaurants that are still woodfired, but use commercial grills. Clark Crew Bbq is the latter, but you would hardly know from the taste of the barbecue unless you went to the back cooking room. From the moment you walk in to this place it's amazing. Its completely remodeled inside with several trophy cases as you enter the lobby. The interior posts, a full size bar and several seating areas to accommodate any size group. There's numerous pictures and cow/bull paintings on the walls. The staff is awesome and willing to explain the vast Bbq menu, kudos to the great staff. This evening for the first time here we tried the Wisconsin cheese curds for our appetizer,which were cooked fresh and came with a nice dipping sauce. For the entrée, I got the 3 meat tray with sliced brisket, brisket burnt ends, and pulled pork. The two sides were mac & cheese and barbecue beans. The sliced brisket was nice, pulled apart, very easy with your fingers and was definitely not dry. The burnt ends were the best I've ever had at any barbecue restaurant. That says a lot considering how many barbecue places I visited over the US. The pulled pork was also juicy and not dried out like some places. The mac & cheese was also amazing not overly cheesy, but very creamy and not dried out. The championship BBQ beans were the hidden gem. I've never had that much barbecue meat in the beans before, but the taste was great! What I love is there is 12 different meats to choose from for the barbecue trays. My dad got the 2 meat tray and my wife got the brisket pizza, which must have been good considering I never got a piece before it was gone. They also have several other dishes including salads, burgers, chili and loaded potatoes competing for attention as entrees as well. No good BBQ restaurant is complete in the south without a good banana pudding, unfortunately I didn't have room to try it this time, but this gives me another of several reasons to return. read more

3.7 stars is a criminal rating for this place. All of our food was excellent. The place was very neat and wasn't too loud. The family all went out for a meal and everyone had a great food. Their sauces are excellent but my favorite was the championship sauce. The app platter was great, too. I will say, they sliced their brisket really thin and it practically fell apart. I'd have appreciated a thicker slice. Their ribs however were out of this world. The bones pulled straight out, but the meat held to it when you bit in. Perfect bark, great glaze. It's exactly what you want when you get ribs. Our service was a little sketchy. Our server seemed pretty stretched thin so I want to give them a pass. They forgot an app we ordered, some of the dishes were switched around on our entrees, and it took awhile for us to get refills. Our server was really kind and apologetic though. I really wanted to like this place. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, but the meat disappointed. I got the two meat plate (chopped pork and ribs) with creamed corn and broccoli. The sides were tasty and I enjoyed them a lot. However, the chopped pork was very dry and had little flavor and I didn't eat but a few bites. The ribs had a good pull and smoke flavor but they were dry as well and not trimmed well as I had bone fragments on the ends that I had to spit out. Got the BFF'S together and met for dinner at the Tulsa location. I just have to say wow! The staff were super friendly and accommodating! Service once seated was spot on and quick! We ordered our food and it came quickly. Our salads were delicious and very fresh. I had the honey mustard dressing which was strong on the mustard side but I toned it down with their great bbq sauce! 2 of us ordered brisket baked potatoes and they were decent size potatoes and they both enjoyed them. Our waitress was wonderful. My husband paid with card and wanted to leave a cash tip and completely forgot. I prefer my brisket served sliced and served with lean side and fat side(Texas Boy), but the chopped brisket was moist and had a good bark. Burnt end bologna had to be on the menu... because Oklahoma. They were served un- sauced, but they needed it. Went great with the stone ground mustard Tater Salad with creamy and classic. Mac and cheese was good, but the real winner for the sides I had were the Championship Baked Beans... sweet and smoky with baby chunks of brisket... Really good! Decided on this spot for our Mother's Day dinner. Was pretty excited after hearing all the hype. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The staffing seemed to be an issue. There was only one of the party in front of us in the hostess area, but it still took over 10 minutes to be seated. That theme continued through our visit. We ordered the brussel sprouts as an appetizer, and they did not disappoint! We had to ask for the dipping sauce because tot was forgotten. After about 20 minutes our waitress came over and explained that the kitchen was playing catch up and our food would be out shortly. This communication was appreciated. I will say the food was really good, with exception to the grilled broccoli. I'm not quite sure what part of it was grilled. More like lightly steamed. Overall, the price point was kinda high. Being an avid griller and smoker myself, I was looking forward to tasting meats from an award winning pit master. The moment we stepped out of the car the smell of wonderful smokiness wafting throughout the parking lot put a smile on my face. But that was the extent of the smokiness. We ordered the 3-meat sampler--ribs, catfish, & pork...sides were beans, house made chips, & cornbread. Amazingly delicious: the cornbread! Above average: our waitress, Mary. Average: The ribs & the chips. Sound level (a little loud) Below average: everything else. The catfish tasted fishy. No smoke flavor detected in the pork, so we were thankful for the sauces. After trying the other new bbq place up the street we were hopeful that food might be better at Clark's Crew... for the most part everything was delicious except for the sliced brisket. The average cost of a restaurant meal for two in Tulsa, OK, can vary, but a reasonable estimate for a casual dining experience is between $40 and $80, including tax and tip. This assumes a relatively modest meal with no alcohol and a 20% tip. Those that complain about $27 for a 2 meat award winning meal with prime beef need to just attempt to smoke similar quality meat and sides at home after you gather about $200 in ingredients and buy a $3k - $5k smoker and go through a few hundred pounds of meat to learn to do 1/2 as good as Clark Crew. read more

Expensive for small portions. I had the burnt ends and they didn't have a Smokey flavor. Only place I've been to that charges $3 extra for the " premium meats" like ribs and brisket ( wasn't aware those were premium meats)and you still get small portions. The cornbread was also undercooked. Save your money and go to Alley Cat Ranch on 6th street. It's cheaper and you get larger portions. read more
