The service is friendly-phenomenal! Inside a comfortable diner ambiance. My wife never passes up an Indian taco. Here you will find it on the menu, listed under salads, with a more PC name "Fite's Cherokee Taco." It is delicious! Me, I gotta' have those house made rings and a club. Three slices of buttery Texas toast, packed with turkey, ham, cheese, smokey bacon, a big slice of ripe tomato, lettuce and a generous slather of mayo. On the side thin, crispy, crunchy, greasy, salty, delicious onion rings. An outstanding meal, that will be added to my collections "UnYun Ringz" and "Clubs in Oklahoma" on Yelp! My wife and I visited Fite's (at their new location on Muskogee Avenue) today after returning from church in Marble City. It was about 1:30, so the main lunch crowd had cleared out. We were promptly seated and waited on by a friendly waitress. After my wife mentioned she has alpha gal allergy, the waitress told us they have a totally separate grill specifically for such issues so there isn't any worries about the food coming into contact with mammalian-derived meats or dairy products. They have a number of alpha gal-friendly options. My wife ordered the fried chicken strips with cottage potatoes and fried okra. I ordered chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes (both with cream gravy) and onion rings. First note: the portions were HUGE! The chicken strips could equal at least 1/3 of a whole chicken. And the chicken fried steak covered a whole plate of it's own. But, portion size means nothing if the food isn't good. Well, I'm happy to say they were both EXCELLENT (note that the CFS is made with Ribeye!). All I can say is if you haven't tried Fite's or it's been awhile, you just gotta go! Saturday at 10:30 am - it was packed!! Seated immediately.. our server was darling -- and hustling! It took a while to get our food but it was worth the wait! Pancakes were the best I've ever tasted!! Cheeseburger was delish The onion rings though!! Sooo good!!! We can't wait to go back for dinner! read more

Okay y'all... do, no, sleep on this cafe!!!! It was an absolute delight from start to finish! First of all... Prettiest gals in the Quah apparently work there... what are the odds- just sayin' ...oh, and sweet too-boot! Taylor was our gal and she was so friendly & helpful!! Something that my husband and I feel strongly about needs to be mentioned now: "THEY HAVE DIET MT DEW FOUNTAIN ...in this establishment!!". This is an anomaly that we don't often come across. Now... the serious bit... the food: We shared, I know, were lame, but we're sharers & we added on, so hush! We got the chicken fried steak and eggs with hash browns... mmmm, guys!! Good service but the dinner food is uninspiring and mediocre at best, with poor ingredients. The breakfast is MUCH better, however. You come here when you're tired and don't want to cook and desire traditional American fare. Otherwise, everything on the menu you can cook yourself and probably buy better quality ingredients. read more

Food and service are both great to find in Tahlequah -- and Fite's has both. Had an incredible meal of the fry bread & the Dyllon sandwich. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in years. read more

We made a special trip to town to eat here Saturday night. I was craving catfish. We waited 40 mins for our food but there was a big table in front of us. When our food arrived, I thought it was chicken. In Oklahoma I would have never expected fried catfish not to have cornmeal breading. It wasn't great. Reminded me of fish n chips, which I don't care for. The baked potato was huge and good. Hubby's Cherokee taco had good flavor but the fry bread wasn't done. It was doughy in the middle as were the hush puppies. Our waitress was very polite and helpful. We've eaten brkfst here often and it's always good but this was a miss. I was very disappointed in what we got. The fry bread seemed to be fried in old oil and was very dense. The onion rings fell apart and didn't seem cooked all the way. The salad I got was okay. I had heard good things about their breakfast, so we tried it for dinner. I was very disappointed. I think they need additional fryers or to change the oil more frequently. I think they need a new recipe for their fry bread or fry it in smaller portions so it is lighter. read more

As for anyone that's goes in to a restaurant and gets over looked and is to dumb to get someone's attention then leaves and writes a bad review needs to go somewhere else. I like DelRancho too but it's not the same as Fites! Ignore that review! Has nothing to do with the quality of food and portions here are rather large also! read more
