What appears to be black and brown smoke streaks and stains, cover the entire ceiling. Seat yourself. The next thing you notice is that your table and every table in the restaurant matches the ceiling. This was not the result of an unfortunate tragic accident; this was purposely done. How this aboriginal work of art came about is known only to the artist. But I speculate that it was born from the collaborative effort of a few good friends, a Friday night, a bargain buy of miss tinted or abandoned clearance sale paint from Lowes, and several cases of Natty Light. And at 2:30am on Saturday morning, a brilliant decision was made, "Hey we still have some beer and paint left over, let's do the tables too!" The restaurant is clean. Small town diner ambiance. The service is fast, attentive and friendly. My usual. +1 point for the gravy which had actual crumbles of sausage and yes, a good homemade biscuit. Eggs and bacon cooked to order. I asked for crisp bacon and I got it. Another 5 seconds in the fryer and it would have been flaming. They have what they call "German Potatoes" that can be substituted for hash browns. German Potatoes would not be my preferred choice, but I decided to try them. Skillet or flat-top fried potato cubes with green pepper and onion. Tasty! Not bad! This is a real American diner, that still serves 3 slices of bacon!

Sausage gravy thick and pasty with 1 tiny piece of sausage. Hashbrowns very greasy. Biscuit was ok. Only 4 customers and service was slow. Waitress brought food to table and that was the last time we saw here. Had to go ask for the ticket.

I was surprised and everyone was laughing and having a great time with their meals and drinks. I ordered the Tomahawk Steak medium well. IT WAS FANTASTIC. Thick and juicy, I took most of it home and ate on it for a couple of days. I also had a Sangria, and it was so lovely in design I almost hated to drink it; but I did.

Me being here for a month in this town I am noticing that there are mainly two popular steakhouses…read moreor chop houses if I may. The other beginning with a C with Hit and Miss service and then you have here which most of my visits as well as my co-workers have always had nothing but raving talkatives about this establishment. The ambience is wonderful and here is where you want to take a date. From the almost Edison type lights that are on top to the brick wall with a nice historical accent and the ceiling tile of decorative nature. I've tried the hamburger here as well as well as the eggs benedict and they have been on spot. The hamburger is not fried on the grill you can actually taste the charness on it from a grill and the yolks on the egg to Benedict is not overcooked it has that nice runny yolk that we all like and a buttery dream hollandaise sauce that's hard to beat. Price is medium to medium high but look at the ambience of this place you will not get too much of that in this small town enjoy it while you are here. Parking might be a little challenging at peak times because you are parking on the street. When you are tired of the mediocre to bad service as well as the food at the other Steakhouse come over here and find yourself not being disappointed. This is coming from my point of view as well as about four other co-workers that have been to both places. OH, I forgot their address I decent looking bar with a nice setup for your tasting pleasure.
