The gravy was very good, and the Texas toast was thick. The downfall was the chicken fried steak. It's a frozen one just deep fried. It was good, but I love a hand breaded chicken fry. The burgers are fresh and not frozen though because the husband had a Cajun burger. But we aren't sure why it was called Cajun unless they just used Cajun spice. 2 teas, a chicken fried steak dinner, and a burger and fries was $35 though, and I think that was just too steep for the quality of diner food. I think mainly because we are spoiled in Muskogee by several other fantastic diners with extremely cheap prizes. I think if I go back to Back in Time, I'll get breakfast. There were tomatoes and the bun only had a dab of mayo on one bun with very few onions. I didn't feel like driving back so I let it go. The second time , a couple of mths later I went for their famous reuben sandwich. I got bread that was barely toasted, no condiment sauce, no swiss cheese and the meat was so dry and tough it was like eating jerky. This time I did check and told them this in no way is a reuben and asked for a refund. She apologized but I told her this is the second time in as many mths that I haven't gotten what I ordered properly prepared. Again she apologized and I told her that their service was declining and it will be some time before I return. Well, 2 weeks ago after waiting 6 mths or more to return i took a leap of faith. Besides, I was famished. So I stopped by for Monday for burgers. My order was extremely specific. No tomatoes, medium well burger, toasted buns, extra onions and pickles and mustard on one bun and mayo on the other. I repeated it once again and she read it all back to me. She assured me she'd let the chef know and get my order correct. Well, I get my burgers and head home. I was so assured that Boomerang would redeem itself with me and I had no wories. AGAIN, my order was NOT correct. The bread was not toasted, only mayo on the top bun, standard amount of pickles and onions and drum roll, a huge sliced Tomato sitting right in the middle. Well friends and neighbors, that's it for me. Order at Boomerang Diner at your own risk unless you don't mind not eating what you wanted so you get satisfied with what you were given.
