Beacon is a Muskogee staple! It's been here forever. Great old school drive-in vibes. Deep fried greatness. Great and friendly car hops! It's still cash only, which is crazy. But food comes out hot and quick. I love the footlong corn dogs like the fair! read more

I hadn't been to Beacon in 20 years, since high school, and just happened to drop by today. I do love a drive-in and wish there were more of them on the east coast, where I've spent most of the past few decades. Beacon is a classic, down home drive-in. It's by no means fancy or fussy (and isn't trying to be) but is a good place to get a freshly made burger, shake (for only $3.25!) and SWEET POTATO FRIES, which Muskogee doesn't have enough of. They're also always really friendly--it feels like a warm hug. I'll have to come here more often when I come back home to visit! read more

Great traditional drive in eats. Good flattop bacon cab and my 12yo said the chicken strips were very good.

Back again... just a quick bite. I'm not all for eating big here, but the quick app is okay. I occasionally order a burger but not today. With the extreme heat index, a Beacon full stomach isn't good... trust your gut on the food consumption. Today was a chicken crispito stop and a cold water I brought from home. Beacon still has it's menu of favorites. Hope y'all enjoy and tip your food hop!! read more

Beacon Drive Inn - the menu for the restaurant - New American Near Me - Muskogee, Oklahoma

Love the food & speedy service. They've been closed for 3 days?? I've been eating there for over 40 years. read more

Beacon is a staple in Muskogee! Best fried pickle chips and fried green beans you can find in the area! The carhops work hard to give you the best service possible, and there's nothing on their menu I wouldn't recommend or eat myself! read more

I went here because everyone says how delicious the food is, so I decided to give it a shot. I pulled in around 1:15 and there was only 2 available spots. The setup is similar to that of sonic. I ordered a double cheeseburger w/bacon, a footling chili cheese coney, and a order of munchers. Although it took about 20 minutes for my food to arrive to the window the food was fresh and hot. When the carhop told me the price of my order I was shocked! It was only $12 and some change which is a really good price in my opinion. The meal was something else, let me tell ya. The burger had fresh crisp vegetables and great bun to meat ratio. The chili cheese coney was hot and the cheese was melted and to my surprise it also has onion and mustard on it. And the munchers were hot and tasty. Overall I give this restaurant a 10/10 amazing food and cheap. read more

This is a great little driving. Good food on the go. The owner has a great heart and believes in giving back to the community. Any opportunity you have to swing by and try this little restaurant you will not be disappointment. read more

This place is run down. The food is disgusting. It honestly just needs to be leveled. One of the worst and nastiest places to eat in Muskogee! read more

We ordered chicken dinners and a hamburger. The bun was so soggy it was inedible on the burger. The chicken was awful!!!! The taste of old grease may be appetizing to some but the smell of the food matched the taste. I would not recommend!!!!!! read more

Local, quirky and the food is good. I had a steak sandwich and my wife had a BLT and my daughter had a burger. Everthing was really good and tasty. Bring CASH. read more

One of my favorite places to eat growing up and still is today! I have always enjoyed their burgers, fries, lemonade, and shakes. They only accept cash- so just be aware! The servers are always super nice. It does take a little while to get your food sometimes, but I feel like that is because it is fresh! read more

The true reason Russia invaded the Ukraine was because Russia heard that their was a diner that served hamburgers half as good as the one served at the Beacon. Bring Cash and your hunger. It's game on at the Beacon. read more

Super bomb!!!! Very flavorful!!! Lots of choices!! With great prices!!! Definitely recommend the brownie bites!!!

I've grown up eating here. Food is always delicious and out to your car very quickly just remember to bring that cash, no credit cards accepted. read more

Best cheeseburgers & coneys in town. It's not much to look at but the food is great! Call it in and it will be ready when you get there. Cash only. read more

The Beacon isn't much to look at. If you aren't from around here you'd likely pass it by and look for another place to eat. They are also cash only. And a lot of the speaker boxes don't work. You either know as a regular which stalls work or you expect to back up & re-park at least once a visit. But there is a reason this drive-in restaurant is hopping like crazy with locals at lunch & dinner time. That reason is the food is de-lish. Not to mention the servers are friendly and are often smiling when they deliver your food. I've been known to go to the ATM and get cash for the sole purpose of stopping at The Beacon for a chili cheese dog. It may require a little more effort at times, but it's certainly worth it. read more

I love Beacon Drive Inn and remember coming here from the time I was three years old. I love the french fries there; the seasoning salt on them just adds the right kick of flavor. The hamburgers are also pretty good. Do not expect gourmet food it is a really old Drive Inn that serves up greasy American favorites. I think Beacon has been in Muskogee for ever and should be considered a landmark there. There is not very many authentic drive inns left in the U.S. and this is definitely one of them. read more

This place has been here since the 50s. Has a very small hometown feel to it. Old school drive thru. Has burgers, fries, grilled cheese ,sandwiches, great malts and shakes. My favorite are the fried pickles and the fried mac and cheese bites. Great prices. Cash only read more

Yuck...enough said. But since Yelp would like more: This place is past its prime. Dirty, run down and few stalls actually work. It's a hard pass on this place! read more

YUM and cheap! Every type of drive in food you can think of! Make sure to bring cash!

I came here for the first time tonight. I ordered a #2 bacon cheeseburger, fried pickles, and diet Dr Pepper. My cheeseburger was good-no complaints, my pickles breading was so thick you would hardly even know there was a pickle in there, and I had to send my diet Dr Pepper back because it tasted like mold. Who even knows the last time their soda machines were cleaned or serviced, if ever. I am giving a second star just for the girl who was running around handing out the orders. You can tell she works hard and was very sweet. Her co workers, however, were another story, giving me side eye for no particular reason from the kitchen. I'm not even a fan Sonic but would definitely go there first before heading to Beacon again. read more

Waited 40 minutes and never got any food. Drove off and went to sonic. Huge waste of time

Love beacon. I get cravings for the chili cheese coney with jalapeños. Doesn't look like much on the outside, but for greasy spoon it's pretty all right. read more

Excellent food for a great price. Not much to look at, but it's worth stopping by. Bring CASH

The burgers are pretty tasty, but the coneys are the best I've eaten anywhere. Foot long, chili-cheese, onion, and mustard. No Sonic, or Coney Island in the state makes a better dog! Pepsi is pretty good too! Cash only. read more

First time visitor heard good things about it. I wasn't disappointed had a bit of a wait after ordering but they were pretty busy. Classic burger type place nostalgic feel. Recommended. read more

Excellent dive drive-in. They are known for their hamburgers but they also have an excellent chicken strip dinner that I honestly believe is a REAL chicken breast that they have cut into strips themselves. It definitely doesn't taste like the processed crap you get elsewhere. I will be honest, if you go, don't look at the inside of the kitchen. It is DISGUSTING but, you don't need to know how the hotdog is made to still enjoy it so just ignore the ceiling tiles that are fixing to fall into your fountain drinks. read more

Best drive in in Muskogee area. The food is similar to sonics, but much better quality and service. I hope they stay around a long time.

I have moved away recently to a new world full of great mass marketed chains... I miss this tiny little small town favorite. They have a lot of fun cheap menu items. The menu doesn't change every week with some goofy cheap gimmick. The service is good. The service is fast. Oh how I miss the Beacon!! read more

The Beacon is awesome. The food is cooked to order and the fries are the best. Yes you have to have cash but it's worth it. There is a little bit of a wait but to get fresh food I'll wait. The fried Mac and cheese is very yummy. read more

I am very disappointed, for the first time after eating here many times. I ordered what I usually order, a number 1 hamburger with extra meat, received it with cheese on it. After I took it back, I was told they don't put cheese on burgers, unless asked for. I have never asked for cheese on anything, I am allergic, and it makes me sick. Really sad, guess I am now a former customer. read more

Awesome burgers! The fried Mac & cheese bites are SOOO good! Although it's a drive-in the staff is very nice.

Took my daughter there because she likes the food. Cash only, no cards accepted. Ordered her a chicken sandwich, fried mushrooms, two drinks. Sat there and waited over 20 minutes for that. Granted, it was nearing lunch rush but that amount of time is ridiculous. If I would have been by myself I would have left. Don't go there unless you just can't live without their food and have some time to kill. Total cost was almost $11 read more

I love Beacon it is definitely one of my top five places in Muskogee to eat...they have the best corn nuggets they are not on the menu for whatever reason. The downside is it's cash only read more

BEST TEA IN TOWN, BEST FRY AMD KETCHUP COMBINATION KNOWN TO MAN!! I'm not sure why, but their ketchup is hands down best ketchup EVER (my family and I joke and say it's gotta be laced lol). Biggest downfall: most of their call buttons don't work. It's like sonic, drive up and push a button to place order, however they've gotta watch for new cars and hope you're ready to order when they come over the speaker. If they miss you pull in....you've gotta move or catch the carhop as she's delivering food. Beacon has been around FOR YEARS!! They're always busy so one would think they could do some much needed upgrades on their systems. Other than that, well their burgers aren't near as good as they used to be. Could be difference in a cook, but patties are thinner than before which causes easy burning. Everything else....yum. You've gotta try their (crinkle cut) fries and ask for an extra ketchup, trust me lol. read more
