Nice, clean family owned buffet restaurant off the interstate. Not much in the area but gas stations and fast food so we were excited to find this place. It is a small buffet but has a decent variety. Price is high in my opinion, $15 for adults and 7.50 for kids. They do togo chicken and sides also. The buffet has a small salad bar, lots of fried food and country cooking like beans, potatoes, a few veggies and then some prescooped desserts like pudding and cobbler. Fountain drinks are included. Fried chicken and livers were really good along with the pinto beans, cabbage, coleslaw, and green beans. They had so much fried food but no sauces like bbq or ketchup available which was a bummer for my kids. They did have white gravy only and tarter/cocktail sauce though. Also the prescooped desserts looked good but had obviously been there all day and we're very dry. No sauces, toppings, ice cream etc available which would have made it much better. Always saw this when I would stop at the loves across the street and decided to take a walk and try it for the price of 15 bucks I believe it wasn't a bad deal at all and locals seem to love it would recommend to any truckers that stay across the street and try it instead of eating the truck stop food read more

I have been a ex chef for 30 years and love supporting small places but this place is crap. Decor and seating from the 1980's. Fried Chicken not hot and was rubber like the cheap kind of poultry. Mash potatoes are instant and supper salty. Corn in steam table not even hot. No cornbread They give you this small 3 compartment disposable plate for salad and hot food. Who ever is cooking they use too much salt in everything. Carrot cake and bread pudding garbage. Water from the soda fountain taste like sink water. Ordinary food. Nothing great. Just average heated canned food. It's cheap and clean. The service is friendly. It's similar to what you would find at q KFC buffet. Lunch is $7.49 until 4pm and then it's $8.49. It was once called Charlie's chicken and it sits across from the Loves truck stop. Truck parking. read more

Very hospitable folks. Four of us came in for lunch on our way to Texas and California... We had chicken fried steak, fried chicken , catfish, and chicken livers (plus side orders). The options are buffet or ordering from the menu. The owners were great; very conversational and went out of their way to make us feel at home, even giving us a start from a plant that we'd never seen before and liked. If we ever drive through this area again we'd probably stop again. Great experience. read more

My husband and I sat down with our salad plates at 5:30pm. There were 2 pieces of fried chicken on the buffet left. Buffet closes at 7pm. 3 female employees stood in the back talking, then all 3 sat at a table and talked. None of them checked the buffet or worked the entire 90 minutes we were there. No more fried chicken was added to the buffet and there wasn't much of the other selections left either from the time we arrived to closing. We paid for the buffet and arrived at 5:30pm. I would think the buffet would be stocked for supper, but it was not. I usually have a fairly good experience here, but it wasn't good tonight. read more

Alright let me start by saying this place is 10000 times better than the subway and Burger King across the street. Do you want a caring, family populated staff? Check. Do you want good country food with unlimited access to the Buffet? Check. I'm wondering what else you could want from a restaurant in rural Oklahoma. It has a clean environment with homecookin'. The catfish, gizzards, mashed potatoes, beans, and green beans were amazing. A lot of fried options. Also, the salad bar has many good options and Romain lettuce. Guys come on. This is a no brainer. Only issue was that there wasn't really a shop even though they advertise it, and there wasn't any chocolate sauce for my ice cream. Besides that, I'd say it was an amazing experience. read more

Husband and I went there one time. Food...not good...not seasoned...very bland. The side dishes and desserts are served in very small bowls buffet style. The day we were there it was very hot and the desserts, etc. had no plastic wrap on them...making a delicious snack for the FLIES in the Restaurant. No thanks. read more

Coxs buffet is lot better than average food is always hot that in itself is something most buffets are warm at best and the food is good for a fair price and the staff is very friendly seems. Like a lot of locals eat here also we stop every chance we get.
