The server was very patient when we were ordering our food. The restaurant is very cozy and extremely clean. I felt at home and we were extremely happy with our visit. I did see one person on Yelp who continues to go back to this location and gives the restaurant poor reviews. Which makes no sense to me. If you don't like the food or service, stop going back. Plus, don't use a fake name on all the reviews . Very sad when people can't be honest and tear down small businesses because they have nothing better to do. Again, thank you for such an amazing time and food. We look forward to our next visit.

Decided to bring home some cake and glazed dozens for my family and I had a Bavarian cream filled one for me on the way home. Solid selection at 8:30 on a Saturday when it's a busy little shop with families off to sports outings and doing their shopping. Fast service. Owners were nice. Threw in extra donut holes. For 1/2 dozen cake and glazed and a Bavarian cream chocolate frosted donut, all of which were decent. Not the best, but solid donuts, I paid about $9. Not bad for what I took home and put smiles on my family members' faces. It's a pretty standard little donut shop. Nothing special inside. Seating is ample for the space. Plenty of drink options in some fridges. Would come back if we wanted a sweet treat while visiting the in-laws, but not necessarily a spot I'd specifically drive the 15-minutes to Checotah for.

Stricken with hunger…read moreafter driving hundreds of miles all over Oklahoma all day looking for my next property; I came upon PJ's shining brightly in the darkness, a food oasis in a seemingly desolate place. I originally passed it, made my left at the stop sign but felt as compelled to go back as I do now to write this review. I could see a couple families inside as I pulled my car in their dirt parking lot. I was greeted warmly as I stepped through the diner door. When trying a new place, I like to eat a familiar food or the food the are known for. My choice here was a burger or country fried steak, having the soul of a southern boy, I opted for the country fried steak dinner. The dinner came with one side of my choice, a small garden salad and a piece of Texas toast. The salad came out first with a side of saltines and I was immediately impressed by the appearance of the greens and tomatoes, both looks very fresh and it would surprise me if the lettuce wasn't locally grown. The ranch served with the salad was delicious and a nice portion size. When the main course came out, I was excited, it looked wonderful! I opted for the fried okra and it definitely was fresh cut and fried, that batter was light and more akin to a good onion ring. The country fried steak was a very generous portion and also fired in that wonder crispy, even batter that wasn't too clumpy and it didn't have too much cornmeal like other often do. I've eaten hundreds of country fried steaks and I currently deem this one the king, champion of all steaks country fried. I can't believe that experience only had a menu price of $7.99; it was so wonderful. A couple days later I ate at the Pioneer Woman's Mercantile and I couldn't bring myself to try her $27 country fried steak, knowing it couldn't possibly be three times better than y'all!

The staff is friendly and the food was outstanding. I ordered the quesadilla burger with onion rings and I had some coconut cake ice cream as dessert. I really liked the batter on the onion rings, they were flavorful and crispy and delicious! The quesadilla burger was way more food than I expected it to be! The patty was THICK and moist and SO good (I actually had to get a to-go box it was so filling). Oh and the ice cream. If you like coconut creme cake, this ice cream is something you will LOVE. Glad I was able to stop in, and I'll be by again the next time I'm traveling through town!
