It is not possible to find better BBQ than Rustlers. This is the hill I'm willing to die upon. Had a platter of pretty much every smoked meat there was in the place, plus two sides. Brisket Pulled Pork Smoked Turkey Pork Ribs Hot Links and finally... Smoked Baloney. Potato Salad, White Mac and Cheese, Texas Toast, Pickle and Onion. Everything was smoked perfectly - even the baloney, which surprised both of us eating there - and absolutely tender. The meats aren't dripping in sauce which is often used to moisten a bad cook or to disguise poor flavors. Nope. If you want a saucy meal, it's a "self-inflicted wound" in my books, because you're missing out on some great well cooked meat. We didn't go there for side options, so reviewing them isn't the point. I did not see either a Corn Bread or a Biscuit choice which I would have chosen, but took the usual's just to see how they're done at Rustlers. I'm not a banana for dessert fan, that is, until my dinner guest forced me to have some of Rustlers Banana Pudding. I am now a rabid fan of banana's for dessert. Yes, it's that good. Don't keep whistling down the highway at 80+MPH trying to get somewhere faster than you should. Slow down, stop in, and get some well made BBQ. Sure, you're going to have the "meat sweats" once you've had your fill, but it's all well worth it in the end. read more

We ordered two of Rustler's, 1 Meat Meals: ¼ lb. pulled pork, two sides (Fried Okra and Baked Beans), Texas Toast, a pickle and a ring of red onion. Order and pay at the counter; your food is delivered to the table. The air in the restaurant has a pleasant smoke aroma that combines with the décor of rustic rough-cut wood, rusty barn tin and a few beers signs, to give it a distinctive BBQ Joint feel. Surprisingly and thankfully, Classic 70s Rock music playing on the sound system. No, "Dang me, twang me, they ought'a take a rope and hang me," C&W music. A couple of big screen TVs with my favorite custom car TV series on one and Guy Feri doing the Diners Drive Ins and Dives on another. I would bet you a cold beer that NASCAR dominates all of the screens on weekends during the racing season. The restaurant is spotless clean and comfortable. The food, some of the best BBQ and sides that I have had in Oklahoma. Noticeable freshness for every item on the paper lined aluminum tray. It is NOT okra season in Oklahoma, but you would be challenged to distinguish this from fresh. Fresh taste, fresh from the fryer, with the perfect light cornmeal coating finished golden brown. The baked beans were of equal quality. Obviously made this morning. Beans, onion, bits of green pepper in a tangy tomato BBQ sauce. The lean tender lightly smoked pulled pork sealed the deal. Mmmmmmm... where do I start? I've been to many places throughout several states in search of barbecue. Rustler's barbecue is one of the best, and I've been to Central BBQ in Memphis, McClard's in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and I have to say I like this place better. Rustlers has sauce by the udder full, but you won't need any. Rustler's barbecue also has excellent sides and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Great people serving great food. I really wanted to like this place. Slaw needed some sugar. It is similar to KFC slaw but missing something....not much flavor. Potato salad could be good, but it has way too much mayo...too creamy. Texas Toast was cold... Iike in the fridge cold. Very odd. Pickles and fries were good. The turkey was very odd. The ribs were good. I would give them a 3.5. Sausage and bologna tasted weird. The pulled pork was not very smokey. The brisket was not much Smoke either. The sausage tasted like summer sausage. This would absolutely be a 5 star review had the servers been wearing masks and enforcing social distancing measures. Folks were well spaced out when we first arrived but as soon as church let out the dining room filled up and was no longer socially distant. Best brisket I have had in Oklahoma. Absolutely delicious ribs. The sides were also excellent. We had pickle fries which were crisp and delicious spears, not coin rounds with the seeds within. The potato salad and baked beans were perfectly on point. Small amounts of pickled jalapeños in the beans was a great touch. We will defbe stopping here next time we are passing through. read more

Me and about 11 of my CMA brothers rode down to Henryetta to experience this jewel. Was not disappointed. A few got the three meat plate and said the ribs were great as well as everything else. We ordered the three meat dinner with potato salad and fried okra. Ribs, sliced brisket, and chicken. Everything was amazing. The ribs fell off the bone, so technically they maybe should've not been quite as tender, but the flavor was amazing and I wish I could smoke ribs this good at home. Brisket was excellent, and the chicken super juicy. As advertised with the 5 star review rating on yelp, this place is exceptional. Pretty much no one was wearing masks, but we're both fully vaccinated, so it really wasn't a problem. Highly recommend this place, I want to come back, and actually order a chicken fried steak!
