It's not fancy, but it's good, the folks are friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I had a brisket and pork tenderloin plate with slaw and beans and Texas toast. There were no leftovers. I would stop here again if I was coming through the area. I liked the hot BBQ sauce too. I'm not going to say it was the best brisket I've ever had, but it was tender and good, especially with some of the BBQ sauce. The pork tenderloin stood out as the best meat on the plate. The Cole slaw was very fresh and tasty. I don't normally order baked beans, but the available sides were limited so I got some -- and was glad I did. They were quite good. First time to stop. Pass by here frequently on my way to Eufaula and finally tried out the BBQ. It is really good!! They give you a sampler boat of the meats to try before you buy. The turkey was awesome, as well as the burnt ends, pulled pork and hot links! The hot links are HOT! Ribs were already sold out. Going to call ahead next time to reserve a slab of ribs. John was so nice and friendly too! I enjoyed talking to him a lot! I'm going to eventually try everything on the menu, it is that good! Decided to check out John's while we were fueling up across the street. Y'all need to stop in and talk to Ken about getting some BBQ. We got a brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, and a side of coleslaw. Brisket was amazing. Now this pains me to say, being an Eastern Carolina BBQ GUY, but John's pulled pork may be the best I have ever had. Please do me a favor and bring a few dollars in cash for a tip. Driving down the road, we checked the app iExit to see what was ahead. We were pulling a 31' Airstream, so we needed it to be convenient and most of all worth pulling over for. I telephoned ahead and the owner directed me on the best place to park. Believe me, it was with pulling over for! I had sliced brisket & pork tenderloin, while my husband had the sliced Turkey & pulled pork. We got to taste his hot links and if you like a touch of fire, these hot links will keep you wanting more. You can just take it to go on the way to the lake, or eat in, like we did. Stop for diesel at Love's and noticed this place. We parked the truck and trailer. We ordered the turkey sandwich, pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich with chips, beans and slaw. We loved it all. My wife's said it was a great turkey sandwich. I loved the brisket sandwich and the slaw had a little sweetness to it which is awesome. Wow! This is an incredible place. It is the definition of a hole in the wall. There was only 8 to 10 bar stools in the whole place. When I walked in there was only one open seat. The guy behind the counter looked at me and said "boy you from around here are yah?" I said nope, and he put a sample of meat in front of me and said try this. I knew I had found a true gem. I sat down to eat with total strangers, but it felt like I was eating with family. The meat was all incredible, best bologna, burnt ends, and hot links I have eaten. We stopped through on our way home from a cross country trip, and absolutely loved the BBQ. It's a carry out style restaurant, meaning everything is served to go. You are welcome to eat in if you'd like, but it's a byod or you can buy a canned soda. We sampled: pulled pork, brisket, smoked turkey, and the burnt ends. Everything was DELICIOUS. Pricing was reasonable as well ($14 for 2 meat combos with two sides) and the best part: the people who run the place. Every one that came in and ordered, they made sure you looked at your order to make sure it was what you wanted and looked good, "so that you don't get down the road and it's not right". read more

We stopped in for dinner tonight. This place was delicious. We had the pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw on it. Really good. We tried samples of the smoked bologna, burnt ends and sausage. Everything was excellent and I actually liked the bologna the best wow!! John and Kenny made us feel right at home. There's no indoor seating except a few seats at the counter so you may need to get it to go. We ate at the counter which was great.
