Let me tell yall something.. Daddy B's BBQ slaps! I'm in town visiting family and I need some good BBQ bc I can't get it in California and this place did not disappoint. And our server was super sweet and helpful bc I couldn't decide which dinner plate to choose. I ended up getting the cat fish plate with baked beans, fried okra, smoked bologna and one rib! Everything was delectable! I couldn't even finish my meal but it def made for some great leftovers. 10's across the board. I also like the ambiance in the restaurant. Pretty good BBQ but I expected the ribs to be more tender given their billboard brags that you "don't need teeth" to eat their BBQ. I am very particular about BBQ as I am from Kansas City, and I have eaten BBQ in KC that is that level of tender. The sauce was excellent. Ambiance casual. The bathroom was clean. The large rib portion was too much for most people to eat. The ribs are giant so the small order is enough for one person. Service was ok but nothing special. Wow! What a little gem in the middle of nowhere. Took the advice of other reviewers and stopped for lunch. Hubby and I ordered the chopped beef baked potato and a half order of ribs. Downright incredible. My husband and I are from Dallas, Tx and there's not a BBQ joint we've been to with this quality, quantity and value. The ribs were what I specifically was craving and they were killer. My husband ordered the 1.5 pounds of 6 different meats, that came with 2 sides and we couldn't even get close to finishing all the food that was brought out. On top of all this amazing food, the price didn't come close to what we would've spent back home for barely half the amount of food we got. Our server, Bri, was also very helpful in navigating the menu to get the best value and she made sure we had everything we needed the whole time we were there. She was pretty kick-ass. Wow. Ribs were amazing...great crust, wonderful flavor, fell off the bone. Chopped beef was delicious, okra was perfect, and fries were spot on. Service was friendly and very attentive...multiple waitresses checked in us and kept our drinks full. Dining area was clean and bright, with comfortable seats and heavy wooden tables. My mom and her sisters were in town for a sisters reunion and it was time for a meal. We are a family that really appreciates tender, flavorful, delicious barbecue. We were a party of 7 and tried the ribs, smoked chicken, pulled pork and chopped beef for our meats. Everything was magnificent and the portion sizes had all of us asking for to go boxes. For the sides we had fried okra, baked beans, coleslaw and potato salad. Daddy B's does mayo based potato salad and my mom tried that and liked it. Since I'm a mustard potato salad person I went with coleslaw and fried okra and both were excellent choices. The dinners are served with a pickle slice, a slice of white bread and sliced onions. I was happily taking pickle spears from everyone who didn't want theirs. It was our first time here and when visiting Okmulgee again this is definitely going to be a great restaurant for lunch or dinner. I do not partake in soft drinks but for those who do they have Pepsi products and a drink called Starry that my daughter tried. She said it taste like Sprite. This spot is so good. By far the best catfish I have had in years!!!! I came here with reservations of how their food would be because I've had some daddy b's but from a sister store(Haskell) and it was less than impressive. Service was quick for end of lunch rush and food was freshly cooked to order. Okay found another local business I choose to support! Pros: portion size is over the top. Service is great. Love the oldies that play in a clean and inviting lil' restaraunt. Cons: it was a little on the warm side in the dining room but not to bad I could t enjoy my meal. The seat tea is okay, but not great. Okay so here it is, my opinion. The meat is not "too" smoky. It is balanced out well which means I can taste all of my food. It is moist and well flavored. The sauce is good(only tried the mild). The ribs were really well done. When you bite not them the meat falls off the bone. 5 stars is easily reachable with this local place. I urge anyone that reads this review to give Daddy B'e a shot. They won't disappoint read more

The food is good. I stopped in for a very light dinner. They offer ala cart pricing but they will not sell to you this way. I simply wanted a rib, a catfish fillet and a side of coleslaw, but they would only sell it to me if I bought a full rib dinner, adding a catfish or a full catfish dinner, adding a rib. I do like the barbecue, but if I can't get what I want or I have to buy more just to simply get what I want what's the point. Had the best time here it's in an old building revamped with plenty of out door seating as well. The staff is really great the service was great. But most of all the food is great! Something for every barbecue lover and our table tried quite a few things. People were coming also to get food to go and I mean a line but that didn't keep the staff from taking care of us well. Made a trip down to eat tonight. Ate here several times before with no issues. Tonight we left before we ever even ordered. As we walked in we seen a man leaf blowing trash in the front entrance. He worked for Daddy b's we seen his work shirt. He blew the trash to the next door business. I thought that's tacky. Then he walks in carries the leaf blower to the back kitchen area. I didn't notice but my daughter did. The waitress brought drinks and wouldn't take our order, said she would be right back. She went to the front counter and helped the lady there take a few orders, then a man walked up to the counter from outside and she took his order. We left after being blown off several times.
