The name of this restaurant is Classic Diner and that's exactly what it is, classic diner food served in an atmosphere that makes you feel like you stepped into the past or onto the set for the TV series Happy Days. I expected to see the Fonz walk in at any moment. It was a blast from the past. Our server, Jennifer, took good care of us. We didn't have to wait long for anything. She was quick, friendly, and professional. I got a chicken fried steak, baked potato and fried okra. I started to get mashed potatoes but I asked if the potatoes were powdered. They were, so I got a baked potato instead. It was a good choice. The okra was fried to perfection and the serving was so large I had to leave half. I liked that I was able to order a small portion of chicken fried steak. The cream gravy is why I order chicken fried steak and this cream gravy did not disappoint. My cousin got the special which included soup, salad, and a sandwich. My other cousin got a chef salad. We all enjoyed our lunch and looking at the decorations. I will stop here again next time we pass through Henrietta. read more

Delicious go-to breakfast. Two eggs over easy, patty sausage, hash browns. With one heavenly delicious plate full of biscuits and gravy(just like Granny made)! 5 Teddy ate a BLT! No complaints about the 1/4 pound of bacon it looked like it had! 5 Waitress went out of her way to make this reunion of old Navy Buddies. Coffee cup was never dry! 5 It has the old family ran cafe feel. Which I found out it was a family working there. Mason, our waitress, was daughter of owner. Love her to pieces. We were passing through Henryetta and saw all the cars parked at Classic Diner. It turned out that this is where the locals eat and we now know why. The service is excellent. Our omelets were great. They were out of hash browns (which didn't hurt our feelings) so we were able to get cottage cheese and very good biscuits and gravy. It's a no thrills yet simple, welcoming atmosphere with that classic 50's vibe diner with small hometown feel. The staff here is super friendly as if you are at a gathering amongst family & friends. I left Alma, Arkansas in the morning without eating. I'd passed a number of fast food places before stopping in Henryetta. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted but it wasn't McDonald's, Burger King, or Taco Bell. I saw Braum's and remembered that they had more than ice cream and milk. I kept going. I saw Classic Diner and kept thinking about it while I drove further through town. Once I didn't see much else, I turned around and stopped here. I really wasn't sure how it worked, but a dear lady told me to sit anywhere. The first person didn't like me at their table, but...just kidding. I sat at a booth for four, which was probably not the greatest idea, but it never filled up that much, thankfully. I had seen a booth for two, but didn't see it again. Someone asked me what I wanted to drink, and I told her that I wasn't sure if I wanted breakfast or lunch, so I didn't yet know. Another person asked me, and I asked for sweet tea. I still couldn't really decide on food, and she recommended the special of chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, texas toast for $5.99. She had to explain what chicken-fried steak was, and I ordered it. Since it was the Monday special, it arrived quickly, including the gravy with a side of gravy--there was a lot of gravy. I liked it. I'm not sure whether I would order it again or not. It felt like a heart attack on a plate, but I ate everything except the toast. Everyone in the place seemed to be enjoying what they had. The staff were all friendly, and obviously, dedicated to superior service. There was one downfall. I managed to sit at booth that had not been wiped, and I used a napkin to try to clean or at least, move the stuff away. She apologized and got a towel immediately. Started to eat at Braums, glad we didn't. Food excellent, service exceptional, decor great. We had the bacon cheeseburger and it was very good. Meat had a very flavor. If it was frozen you could not tell it. Would recommend eating here to anyone. This was better than the Meers burgers we had Saturday. read more

The only place I found in a few different searches in Henryetta was this diner. And it was well worth the stop before hitting the road to Shreveport as there isn't much between. Being in an independent rock band on the road, I was becoming very tired of $5 subway and weak coffee and this was a welcomed change. I ordered a veggie omelette which was served with toast or biscuit and came with a freshly made hash brown. The food was surprisingly clean.. ie: not greasy as found in a lot of diners. All that for $4.99 including tax and fresh brewed coffee for $1.19 Absolute bargain. Friendly service, complimentary refills of coffee, clean restrooms. If I ever return through that area, will definitely be stopping by again. Although it seemed like a spot where a lot of locals go regularly, we felt extremely welcomed which isn't always the case when passing through small towns. read more

Great place!!!! We were in town for the weekend and after a few failed attempts at finding something good to eat, this place showed up and showed out! Our waitress Frankie was amazing, she made several suggestion for us and after our mouths were watering we finally decided. My girlfriend ordered the pork chops which were seasoned well along with corn and green beans. I had the kitty's chicken with fried okra and mash and gravy. First good sign, a full parking lot. Most everyone is local and obviously repeat customers. Second good sign, grinding their own coffee. Yep, it was very good!
