I took a route 66 trip with my family and stopped at this amazing place! The food options were amazing. They also have a gift shop. The service was wonderful and friendly, and the place was clean with beautiful art. I would definitely go back.

Fun place to visit while traveling Route 66. My husband loved his bacon cheeseburger. My breaded chicken tenders were more breading than white meat. My mashed potatoes and green beans were flavorful. The waitresses were very attentive and they kept our drinks filled. You can take home your souvenir cup. The staff handled the crowd with ease. The diner was appropriately noisy with the buzz of hungry patrons. We will come back if in the state again.

If your traveling sown Rt 66 and your in the area then this is a MUST stop. The burgers are some of the best u will ever have. The chicken fried steak is also a good pick. AAA+++

This was a great place to grab a Saturday lunch. I told my wife that we'll start taking a Saturday or Sunday and try different restaurants in OK. We chose the Rock Cafe as our destination. It was an hour drive from Oklahoma City and upon arrival we parked but couldn't really locate the entrance. Once we did we were greeted and seated immediately. There were several open tables and it appeared that we may have missed the lunch crowd. A delightful server (Alyssa - no clue if we spelled her name right) guided us through the menu and made great suggestions. She checked on us periodically and at one point in time provided history regarding the restaurant. Very informative! Especially to tell the story about Betsy, the name of the grill. She even took us back to the kitchen to check it out after we finished our meal. Pretty awesome to know that the grill was the only thing left after a fire destroyed the restaurant in 2008. We decided on Fried Pickles as an appetizer they were very good. Both of us decided on the Chicken Fried Steak. It was good but to be perfectly honest a steak knife would have worked better than a butter knife. The mashed potatoes were real, the fried okra was perfectly cooked and crispy. I was pleasantly surprised that I could order dessert. Typically I don't but this time I managed to save room. We choose the Peach Cobbler to split. I found it to be overly sweet and although we ate it all it was not my favorite. After we finished eating we made a short walk to the Ed Smalley Centennial Park which is adjacent to the restaurant. A very nice tribute to those who served in the Armed Forces.

Jagerschnitzel! If this doesn't fill you up, nothing will! So delicious. My plan to save room for peach cobbler was a total fail!

Great service! Great food! And they bring you in through what feels like a back door, but it's so you get to see "Betty" the mighty grill!

Best biscuits ever! So light and the bacon was perfect !!

Delicious. You can taste the history. The bacon was so good. You can taste the grill flavoring. It is the same grill from 1939!!

Cowboy candy! Fried onion strips and jalapeños.

Not what was advertised online. Mediocre burger, fries were fried and not salted. Tasted like oil.

Delicious home style food with a nice 70s and 80s vibe, however the prices are rather high. The service is nice and polish as well.

Can't speak to the food, never got to order. Waitress never even acknowledged us. Too bad. I had heard good things.

This restaurant was so cute! The Bacon Cheeseburger is the best burger I've had! Also is "Cars" themed which made it all the more charming.

The only good thing besides the one Artisan European style dinner roll was the authentic Dosseldorf mustard. Entree I ordered was 1 Beef sausage and a Pork sausage. Both called a different name in German. I ordered Germain potatoes and Red Cabbage. My beef sausage was way over cooked my pork sausage was fine and I guess they were of average flavor. The German potatoes were flavorless and no where close to German. My redcabbage was good. I ordered Mushroom gravy on my sausages. If done right that gravy is very good. However, they made this gravy with canned mushrooms and instant brown gravy mix and was pretty much flavorless. My dinner came with a dinner roll. They placed it on my dinner plate in the gravy. Couldn't pick it up without getting gravy on my hand. My date ordered a Weinerschnizel. It was good but very over cooked they gave my red Cabbage to her. She didn't order it but it was big enough to share. She ordered Pommfrietes (seasoned French fries not really authentic Pommfrietes. They were not so great. Server was over worked as they were busy. We had to get up with drink glasses and go chase down water refills. They kept the glasses and about a minute later the waiter walk by with our water glasses and gave them to two other people at a different table. I bought him on the way back by our table and said excuse me but you just gave our water to that table up front. He said oh yes, I did. I suggested he retrieve the 2 glasses of water before they drank out of them. He did do that. Brought them. Back to our table without us knowing if they drank out of our glasses. It was not fresh, it was not authentic and it resembled German foods by was a bad representation. I won't be back. Restaurant was clean no low dinner music. Ambiance was lacking. Waiter was a nice young man but either timid or thought he should not talk loud enough he wouldn't disturb other customers by talking to us. Oh and instead of putting our butter on a small plate or dish. They put it on my dinner plate in the gravy. This place was definitely not a class place. Not that it had to be. However, for their moderately priced menu. It needed to have more class than this restaurant showed.

It has a fun and inviting atmosphere, almost like a small play area amidst a bustling city. They recently celebrated an event at Oktoberfest, which added a lovely touch to the decor, and I had a nice experience sampling one of their beers. However, I do want to mention that their selection of IPAs is somewhat limited, which might be a bit disappointing for some. Unfortunately, I noticed that they don't offer many vegetarian options. If you're a vegetarian, you might find it challenging to find something to eat. One of my friends ordered fries, but they were prepared with duck oil, so that option wouldn't work for vegetarians either. If you're planning a visit, it might be wise to have a light meal beforehand, as the only vegetarian dish available seemed to be a small salad priced at around $10. Still, if you're someone who enjoys beer or a lively atmosphere, this could be a good place to unwind and enjoy some quality time with friends. also talking about service, the server is not experienced so he wasn't very good at helping us.
