The wife had the rib dinner, super delicious and flavorful. It comes with choice of sides, the potato salad was mustard based, not over powerful, just right. Okra crisp and hot. I had the 2 meat combo dinner; smoked slice chicken and brisket. The sliced chicken was moist, delicious and great tasting. The smoked sliced brisket, tender and my palate was jumping. Comes with choice of 2 sides which I had the country style green beans (loved them) and smoked BBQ beans which definitely kicked it all off. For dessert we had the blackberry cobbler with ice cream. Oh my, oh my!! I highly recommend stopping here if traveling through or even make a trip to come because it's well worth it. Service is excellent and the food is outstanding. Oh it was horrible. The pork was so overcooked it had no flavor. They tried making up for it with a salt rub. So it was salt. I tried the bbq sauce but it was sour. I wonder if it's busy because it's the only place in town. It would never make it in the city read more

Nice establishment food is decent and have a good selection. The meats have a very strong smoked flavor in my opinion which I personally am not crazy about in bbq some love that though. Their fries and burgers are great and love the dirty fries. Definitely worth checking out. Very friendly staff and have a good menu and selection. This place is a Gem!!! We had the all you can eat Ribs. Well worth the price and service was just as good if not great! The rib were super smoky (they use hickory to smoke) the side were good as well. The Smokey beans were not my cup of tea. But I suppose for trying not to be the typical baked beans it was good, just not my thing. It was more like a chili. Like I said good for what it was. We tried, slaw, green beans, Mac n cheese, fried Okra, potato salad, loaded mash potatoes & the Smokey beans. Really suggest you try this place it was well worth it. I drove from Tulsa to meet a potential adopter for this beautiful pup. We both (Duke, the dog, and I) knew it was a no go, so we decided to go get some barbecue on our way back to Tulsa. I interacted with several people at the drive-through, and everyone was so kind. They even gave Duke some extra meat, on top of the brisket sandwich that I got for him. I just want to say that this was such a pleasant interaction. I haven't even gotten to eat my food yet, but from the smell of it, it's going to be amazing. I genuinely wanted to compliment your business on the people that you have working there because they made a difference in our day today. Fork tender, perfect amount of seasonings, gravy thick and flavorful and my side salad was so fresh I thought it was flirting with me. Lol. My wife and I visited Stroud this weekend and the smells from Five Star were almost hypnotizing. It smelled so good that deciding where to eat was a no brainer. I had a pulled pork sandwich and got a hard chunk of meat that was not pulled and very dry. I also got the peach cobbler to go, after having it inside once and it was fabulous and I couldnt finish it. It is about $7.99 and well worth it. So I get home and the serving was tiny, like 1 spoon full. You could literally hold it in the palm of your hand. So not worth the price, and not what you get inside. I was in Stroud, Oklahoma for work and I figured why not try this place out. First off, the hot links and the polish sausages were very tasty. It was spicy and just full of flavor. I haven't had a proper hot link or polish since I was in high school so this was a real treat. The catfish fillet was also really delicious, the fish was just so flaky and it melted in my mouth like it was ice in the Sahara. The only thing I would not get again are the fried pickles. It was okay and honestly not the best thing on the menu. Unfortunately, flat-tires still make it better. Service was great though so that's good. Would be back for the hot links for sure. read more

Went recently to visit family ok Oklahoma. This place was right across from hotel. Went in and decided on fried catfish. The server informed us it was all you could eat ribs so obviously I went for that. They were probably the best I ever had. Got fried okra and corn on the cob. It was so good went back the next night. I ordered the the fried catfish. It was amazing too. Got a cobbler with ice cream for dessert to go. As good as the food was, the staff was better. They were very friendly and helpful. I'm going to take a minute here and write this place up! Following the end of our high school basketball team's final game of the season we came here. When you're ending your run for a state title there can be no where else. The restaurant agreed to stay open so our boys could enjoy some bbq to take their mind off of a disappointing game. Top twelve on the state for 3A ball is no weak sauce though and neither was the sauce here! Definitely top twelve at least in Oklahoma! The wings were tasty and the baked potatoes were fast and loaded. The smokestack sandwich was amazing and I'll be back again to try those ribs. Oh my goodness! The ribs are fall off the bone tender, they were smoky and tender and just so yummy. But they were also semi-chewy, even though they fell off the bone. Also, NONE of my food was hot. Lukewarm at best. I did get a reasonable amount of ribs on my half-rack. The okra was greasy and lukewarm. I mean soggy & greasy & lukewarm, The Mac and Cheese was yummy, cheesy and lukewarm. The iced tea was perfect. I can tell that they clean their container. The pickle was excellent. And cold. The service was wonderful.
