We're from Henderson Nevada and it's a must stop for us. The extremely yummy start of sweet fritters is the best and the food never disappoints! Friendly and very efficient waitress! The atmosphere could use a little cleaning up but we'll definitely be back on our way through! read more

I'm feeling pretty conflicted about this review because my experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag--some aspects were great, and others definitely need attention. Let me start with the positive: The Good: When I first pulled up to the building, I was impressed. The exterior looked nice, the parking lot was clean, and the place was buzzing with activity. There were a lot of cars outside, and there was a line for seating, which let me know this place is pretty popular. Since I was in a bit of a hurry, I asked if I could place an order to-go, and they were more than happy to accommodate. I ordered the catfish dinner, which came with French fries, coleslaw, hush puppies, a warm buttered roll, and even a couple of beignets. The catfish was decent--not the best I've ever had (I've got a pretty high bar for that), but it was tasty enough that I'd go back if I had the chance. The hush puppies were on point, and I appreciate that they didn't skimp on the portions. The inside of the restaurant was decorated with a cute, Ozark-lake theme, which added a charming touch. They also have a small gift shop with reasonably priced, locally made souvenirs, which I thought was a nice bonus. The young lady who took my order was polite, had a sweet smile, and was very friendly--definitely added to the positive experience. The Not-So-Good: Now for the part I don't like writing--the negatives. While I don't like focusing on the bad, there are some things that need to be addressed, particularly the cleanliness. The condition of the bathroom was a letdown, to say the least. There was a disposable toilet seat cover with feces on it lying on the floor, and that was enough to make me do a double take. On top of that, the door handles, doorjambs, and the entryways into the kitchen looked like they hadn't been properly wiped down in a while. There was a vent cover in the men's bathroom that was in rough shape, and, most importantly, there was no soap available to wash your hands. For a busy place like this, you'd think they'd be on top of those things. It wasn't a dealbreaker for me, but it's definitely a concern that needs to be addressed for the sake of cleanliness. Final Thoughts: All in all, the food was decent, the prices were good, and the staff was friendly. The bathroom situation didn't ruin the experience for me, but it's something that definitely needs improvement. I would go back again if I'm in the area, but I hope they address these issues for the sake of future customers. read more

Either you love catfish or youre not the biggest fan. I fall into the latter category but that's OK because they have many other things on their menu. They had a popcorn shrimp special the day I went in so I got that along with fried okra and coleslaw with 2 pieces of catfish because I wanted to try it out atleast. It came with cocktail sauce which is classic pairing for popcorn shrimp. The tartar sauce was OK. The okra was amazing. Seasoned well and very hot. They did have their apple fritters and fresh buns with butter and jam on the table. I went around shift change so they didnt come out often but my server was nice and asked them to come out so I could get more apple fritters so I appreciate her for that. On the other side of the restaurant is a gift shop if youre looking for anything. The fritters were honestly too good. Had to get a dozen to go to snack on. Really good citrusy pop. Prices are really affordable as well. If you're in the area, check it out! read more

Ordered the bbq brisket, it was cold, the fries were not hot. Ashlyn was an above average waitress. The biggest concern was the lack of cleanliness, the floor was a disaster, a broom and 5 minutes would work wonders. The girl serving rolls asked my wife when almost finished eating if she wanted a dinner roll , the rest of the time she was visiting with the cashier. I give props to the cashier, when she wasn't busy, she cleaned. Work on cleaning other parts of the restaurant, care! read more

It was closed due to storm damage. Loved the place when we ate there before. Plan on going back if they reopen.

Jaycee was great!! The two young ladies, who brought fresh bread and apple fritters were friendly and polite. It's not everyday that we eat fried foods ...when in Rome... It was a good place to stop and fuel up on some fried catfish, okra and hush puppies. It was a fun and unique experience for us travelers. There were salads and healthy options available for those who don't want to go to the dark side. read more

I was very disappointed about two weeks ago. I went to have some catfish. The catfish is very small but we're cooked. I was in there back in February and it was really good. I asked if they could girl a catfish but they said we don't do that she was kind of rude about it Like, why can't you have a healthy dish not to grill catfish? That's why everybody's fat. Needless sale will be coming back. I've had better catfish and a Truck Stop read more

The food was SO good! The waitress was quick and attentive. Make sure you check out the HUGE grumpy catfish on your way out!

Catfish did not disappoint. Staff was friendly. Great price And service. The fresh fried fritters and rolls was amazing.

Have eaten here for at least 25 years on our way back and forth to OKC. Got there at 8:30. Restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. Asked girl cleaning if they were still open. She checked her phone and said yes. Seated us at table she hadn't cleaned yet that had napkins and other trash under it. Three of us got the catfish dinners. Fish and fries were very cold. Husband's chicken fried steak was hot and he enjoyed it. Very disappointed. Going downhill. read more

First off, shame on all of the fake negative reviews here. After a couple of stops in here, I can attest, if you're a fan of fried catfish like myself, this is a great place to get it. Breading light, fish moist and flaky, never greasy. I will say, they do need more sides options besides just boring fries and coleslaw. Meals also come with apple fritter bites (balls) and the most buttery, soft yeast rolls. Both are delicious. Ask for melted butter on the fritters, thank me later. We stopped in for fresh fruit pies on our latest visit. They are biiig, and cost around $3 each. But taste and quality wise, they were just okay. Very crusty outside, not flaky, tasting only of flour. And their size made them heat unevenly like a Hot Pocket. Lava hot cherry syrup gushed out all over my husband. Meanwhile my half was ice cold in the middle. And the blackberry came only room temp, and sadly had no actual berries in it. So just stick with the stuff they are known for here (catfish dinner) and you can't go wrong. read more

My wife did not mind, but the catfish they serve has the brown fat untrimmed which makes the entire fillet taste awful, like dirt. You can't just scrape it off because it fouls the meat up when it's cooked on it. Maybe this is how it's served a lot of places, this is always a disappointing find for me, but places like Boomerang, Freddie's in Sapulpa (when it was open), or Sam's Eatery ALL serve catfish with the brown fat removed. I won't take any more chances again, it's no fun paying for food you can't eat. No one asked me how my meal was or I would have asked for a replacement. Not my waitress or my cashier. My dinner was ruined and I still paid for it. read more

The hamburgers are really and the French fries are great. I do love their onion rings but they're a little pricey for no more than what you get.‍ read more

The atmosphere is inviting and prices are great for the quality of the food. My girlfriend had the chicken fried steak it was giant and very tender. I had the all you can eat catfish all for 26 bucks. Our service was great I put a hurting on the catfish I had like 16 pieces. So Allie earned her tip. Good service sweet girl. My compliments to the kitchen staff. Good job. Love this place it was our first trip here we live about 40 miles away we will definitely come back every chance we get. Yummy! read more

My oh my, highly recommend Catfish Round Up. We are traveling and someone out of Ada recommended this place. Food plentiful, fresh, and hot. Homemade hot rolls and apple fritters served with the dinners. Prices reasonable. All employees we encountered were cheerful and friendly. Our waitress, Ashlyn, was excellent! We will stop by again if passing through. read more

This place is ridiculously good Sat down to warm fritters, ordered catfish and fries and heaven.... they make their own rolls which they pass around warm, anyone who bakes can tell they're raised dough.... they make their tarter sauce, the fish and the fries were terrific. read more

The fritter and roll girls were the best part. The fried catfish had the grey/brown fatty part left on which made the catfish taste dirty. They do cook the fish and the other fried foods in separate fryers, but the oil my wife's chicken fried chicken was cooked in needed to be changed and gave the chicken a burned oil taste. We haven't eaten there in about 7 years and the experience yesterday wasn't good. read more

Great food, great service, friendly staff and good country vibes!! Don't skip out on the fritters... crazy good!!

I shoo flys throughout the entire dinner. But if that doesn't stop your quest for good catfish I don't blame you. This place doesn't currently cook good catfish on Sunday evenings. The cajun bread they use on the fish is aweful, needs to compliment the fish not cover the "lake taste" which they still couldn't do. The fried okra is off like so many restaurants. It chews into tough fibers or tastes like okra slime. The mashed potatoes were good. Won't be going back. If you want me back, offer all you can eat catfish that is pan fried large strips with some lemon pepper. That tastes like someone cared about what they were cooking. This place is bland, mediocre cooking during a time when money is worth less than the day before. read more

Food was delicious. Service was good as it could be for being busy. Don't knock it till you try it.

They have the best fritters hands down. Great catfish. We drive from OKC for the catfish and fritters. The service is very good.

Hidden gem on the way to Eufaula Lake I cannot believe we have never stopped here. It was all good it's pretty much all home made. Came In the middle of lunch rush so everything was very fresh. I waitress was Carole who said she has been there for 38 years. Great service!! We will definitely make it a stop from now on. Free Apple fritters and yeast rolls. Cmon how could you not love this place. read more

We stopped while driving to Lake Eufaula. I had heard the rolls and Apple fritters were the same as Applewood's and my intel was correct! The rolls and fritters alone were worth stopping for (right off I -40!). The fish was hot and very good. Fries and okra were good. We could make this a frequent stop! They were very crowded but our order was exactly right and in the time given us. We have our pup so we always get food to go. Great job Catfish Roundup! read more

A great not so little hole in the wall restaurant which has been around 40 or more years. Outstanding food. Great staff. Fair prices. Doesn't look like much, but it's truly a treasure. Apple fritters will always be my favorite!

The catfish had cajun seasoning with no mention in the dinner description it was in the description in the all you can eat. I unknowingly ordered the dinner portion and after a couple of bites asked the waitress what seasoning made it so spicy because my lips were tingling and tongue was breaking out. She said cajun at which time I told her of my allergy... she just said sorry and offered to get me something else and I refused as I was concerned I was having a problem- we got the check and the meal was still charged ... there was no offer to take it off and when we inquired, she said the manager said it was on the menu- we paid and left and will NOT RETURN! so BEWARE of seasoning and poor customer service!!! read more

Awesome service and the Catfish is amazing. We saw the billboard while heading home from a long RV trip and decided to stop. Those spur of the moment decisions don't usually pan out so well. Great place! Fast service and very friendly staff. Wide variety menu and homemade food. You won't leave hungry. When first seated they serve yummy hot apple fritters.
