Absolutely Disgusting Food and Even Worse Service I recently visited the Boomerang Diner on Broadway in Shawnee, OK, and it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I ordered a simple to-go meal of a ham and cheese omelet, hash browns, toast, and coffee. The total came to $17.02, and I added a $3.40 tip. I was halfway through my meal when I discovered that half of the omelet was completely raw! As someone who was just recovering from a stomach bug, this immediately made me queasy, and I ended up throwing up. I returned to the diner with the contaminated food and was greeted by a server who offered to make me a new omelet. I explained that I was concerned about food contamination and simply wanted a refund. The server showed the raw omelet to the manager, and I could hear the manager acknowledging that it was indeed undercooked. However, when the server returned, he insisted that they would only make me a new one. I objected and demanded a refund, but the manager refused because I had already eaten half of the meal. I was shocked and appalled by this response. I reiterated my concerns about food poisoning and even asked other customers if they had experienced similar issues with their food. The manager then threatened to call the police on me for "stating facts and asking questions"! I left the diner feeling disgusted and disrespected. I was wearing torn and tattered shoes and work clothes as I was on a construction job, and as a Native American, I couldn't help but feel that my appearance and race played a significant role in the way I was treated. The manager's refusal to issue a refund for a clearly contaminated meal was unacceptable, and his threat to call the police was completely uncalled for. I would strongly advise anyone considering eating at this establishment to think twice. The food is poorly prepared, the service is terrible, and the management is downright hostile and potentially discriminatory. I was really excited to eat at boomerang on Main Street in Shawnee Oklahoma As we entered the building it seem like a nice little diner nothing Out Of the ordinary walls were to me in my honest opinion a little over decorated with Stuff from the fifties but I was fine with that As we sat down in our booth to order the waitress was very nice very helpful offered to Go out of her way in order to see that we were satisfied with experience When were received our mill that is when disaster struckI had ordered a chicken fry with mashed potatoes and a side salad as Didmy son his wife ordered a Burger with Mayonnaise no onions and tomatoes and my mom had ordered a pancake and bacon biscuit My chicken fry looked good well colored reading but my son's wife Burger did not have tomatoes and had onions she picked the onions Off that waitress brought her A side of tomatoes my son had said that his chicken fry was overcooked and the meat was tough both of us agree that the breading was Way too salty and all the flavor for the Chicken fry came from the breading as the meat was obviously frozen and pretty bland tasting The chicken fry was so salty that we ended up pulling the breading off of the chicken fry and trying to eat the meat alone which was bland and not very good TastingThe mashed potatoes were instant and all right for instant potatoesThe price of the chicken Fry is $11 looking back I would say the chicken fry would be worth around $9 with the sides read more

Oh dear where to start. When I walked in I was looking forward to a good ol' fashioned lunch. The diner inside was relatively clean but way over decorated with clutter. I was instructed to seat myself but it did not take long for a waitress to come and take my order. I ordered a chicken fried steak dinner with a side salad. The salad came back speedy and was fresh however the bowl was very small and made it difficult to mix in my dressing. Overall though was crunchy and fresh. The problem came when i received my entree. Presentation wise it was pleasing and the toast was golden. However upon my first bite of the chicken fry my blood pressure increased. The breading on the steak was like a bite of the dead sea it was so salty. The chicken fry meat alone was way overcooked and embarrassingly bland. The combination of both ( Chicken fry and breading) was the equivalent of attempting to eat pure salt rocks. Conclusively the best bite of food I had was my toast. Overall I had to opt out of finishing my meal for fear of needing to start on blood pressure medicine. As I type this review my heart is still thundering in my chest. All I can think to myself is "what a shame". This restaurant is not making me feel like a boomerang because I will not be coming back. read more

Pretty good. The only Boomerang I like in town. Came for brunch with my family. Ordered a diner double with no onion, upon receiving my burger I got onions and no tomato's. I was pretty disappointed at that but I just removed them from my burger and asked for a side of tomato's. The server was very nice but didnt catch her name. The only thing that could've made this a 5 star review was a changing table in the bathroom. There's plenty of room in there for one and considering that it's almost 2020 you'd think more places would family friendly. read more

Boomerang is always a solid burger experience! When I find myself in Shawnee this place is usually on my hit list for lunch.
