This is a nice little local diner only open for breakfast and lunch. It looks small from the outside but it's larger than it looks. There is a back room tht seats as many as the main area. They do a good breakfast business as the lot is always packed when they are open. Service is good. read more

This place is a nice little hole in the wall. It was great service and a friendly environment. I ordered the hamburger steak w/onions, mashed potatoes w/ gravy, okra, and Texas toast. It was very yummy. I loved the toast dipped in the brown gravy. The burger was lightly seasoned but still very good. I tried a piece of the fried fish and it was crispy and delicious. On Friday's they have all you can eat fish and stay open until 8pm. read more

This appeared to be a local dive is what drew us to it. You could definitely tell it was as soon as you walked through the door. Everyone seemed to know everyone, but even as we were strangers we were approached like old friends. It was laid back with old county playing on the radio and friendly smiles all around. The menu consisted of real home cooked food that made you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Highly recommend if you're ever in the area. read more

I needed somewhere quick to grab breakfast for my kids that wasn't a fast food drive thru option. I went to Yelp (duh) and this place had good reviews, it was close, so it seemed like a no brainer! I called in an order to-go and the lady who took my order was kind, but I feel like she could have given me a simpler, more cost effective way to order...but no biggie! I arrived inside and had to wait a few moments for them to bag it up and check out a couple people ahead of me. It was a "pay at the register" type spot. My kids enjoyed their breakfast, it was really clean inside, and the people were nice. I'd definitely stop in again for a family breakfast or try their all you can eat catfish night. read more

Honest and straightforward cafe (dare I say an awesome breakfast spot). Well off the beaten path and filled with locals. I'm had 'The Bomb': scrambled eggs on a fresh biscuit covered in country gravy with two sausage patties. Coffee was prompt and all the servers kept coming bus with refills. Only down side. The last place we that was here was pretty okay... This new abs improved place just opened with new owner and was it worth it? Well, we came in seeing the place had done some renovations, everything looked different. I have to say, it's a lot nicer than it was before. We wanted to try the burgers because why not? We got one Swiss burger and one Swiss plus because it has mushrooms on it. When they came back, they both has mushrooms. The server said she would take it back and have them fix it. They simply removed the mushroom and slap a slice of Swiss cheese over it and call it. My husband doesn't eat mushrooms, so it was pretty disappointed. We will probably come back because they are more things we want to try here. Maybe our experience will change and I can give them a higher rating. Right now, 3 will do. read more

Staff works well together to make sure everyone is taken care of. Everything was delicious, fresh and clean. Saw that they have Indian tacos on Thursday, all you can eat catfish on Friday's. Great breakfast location. It can get crowded on the weekend but they have plenty of seating. The biscuits and gravy are some of the best I've ever had. Someone is starting their morning early to have made from scratch biscuits ready. Waitress was pleasent and kept my coffee topped off. Will make this one of my regular breakfast stops. read more

Fred's Cafe 29 just opened today at 6 am and we were there bright and early to welcome them. Our breakfast was hot, delicious and served with a smile! (you can view the menu on their Facebook page) My husband had the 2 x 2 which is 2 eggs, 2 meats & french toast, plus he got a half order of biscuits & gravy. I thoroughly enjoyed the Breakfast Bomb - biscuits topped with scrambled eggs & biscuit gravy with 2 sausage patties on the side (which I just added to the pile). Portions are generous, but we cleaned our plates! Prices are very reasonable so good bang for the buck. Nice place to watch the morning news on TV, read the newspaper and/or solve the world's problems with friends over coffee, which is some solid java. The staff was so welcoming & friendly, and our service was spectacular. There is a daily Lunch Special so we may have to go back later today and check it out - I may never cook again! Fred has renovated the cafe and everything is so fresh & clean. There is also a great back room that you can schedule for groups or meetings! Parking is plentiful and close to the building. The breakfast is so good! Hot biscuits not room temperature is always plus! I also tasted my husband's pancakes and they were wonderful!
