Small diner on Main Street. Tht has a 50's vibe. Seats approx 50 people. First off my burger and fries were really good but Thts pretty much where it ends. I sat in a booth in the corner. Big mistake as the speaker above me was blasting pretty good. Menus are glued to the tables so I looked it over. Ordered a water with lemon. She showed up with a water and two packets of lemon juice. Ok it worked. I wanted a burger and asked if the old fashion burger came with fries. She said yes so Thts what I ordered with all the trimmings. It took a bit to get my food. It is Sunday about noon so all good. It came out and really looked good. The spicy seasoning on the table was also tasty. Never got asked or received a drink refill. Finished everything. Fries were nice and crispy and the burger and stuff were fresh I did notice some pieces of cheese but figured it got cooked next to a cheeseburger. Got to the counter to pay and there was a charge for fries and cheese. When I asked they said the fries were separate. About tht time the server who took my order walked up and I asked her. You told me the fries came with the burger. She stammered a bit but admitted it. Then i noticed a garage for cheese and again i did not order that nor was it listed as an ingredient in the old fashion burger. They did remove 4 bucks from my bill but i wont be back. What's funny in hindsight is the man and his daughter in the line paying in front of me looked at his daughter and stated we are never coming back again. So in the matter of a few minutes they lost at least 4 customers as I wont take me wife back. Too bad cause it's local. read more

The food was awful! My husband ordered the smothered 1/2 LB. ground beef steak and I ordered the beans & cornbread. The ground beef steak was no more than a 1/4 LB. Smashed paper thin and way, way, way overcooked! He had them remake it and it was a little better. Still not 1/2 LB. And not smothered with onions. My beans were straight from a can with thin sliced lunch meat ham in it. The cornbread was dry and there was no butter or honey brought with the order. This diner used to have pretty good food. I don't know what happened, but we will never be back. read more

Pretty lengthy review but it's worth your time if you want to know anything about this establishment. I worked here for about a year, at first I enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe of the place but that changed quickly. They train the servers to check food at the hot food table without wearing gloves and the cooks don't wear gloves either. It's a very hostile work environment. I was bullied for a long time by an almost 60 year old woman (I was 16 the majority of my time here.) She would trip me curse at me in front of the multi unit leader and other corporate managers and they wouldn't say a thing. She said she was going to get her 13 year old to "beat me up" because I was crying over the loss of a loved one and in her own words I was being "a selfish crybaby wasting everybody else's time". Mind you this is the woman there the majority of the time serving y'all's food after touching it without washing her hands for a lengthy amount of time. read more

My wife used to work there and was used and abused by the current manager. When it was franchised by Shannon and MIke things seemed to work smoothly. Shortly after cooperate took over the establishment went straight downhill. They started chincing on the servings and buying crappier meat for the burgers. Management is horrible and only worried about their bonuses. Buffy the area manager yells and screams at the employees and degrades them in front of customers. I really don't see how they keep employees. Much less stay open. In my opinion the location would've been better off remaining a franchise and not cooperate. Thumbs down all the way. read more

I really enjoy eating at this Boomarang. Each time I visit, I look over the menu to see if I want to try something new, but I cannot pass up the opportunity to get the fried catfish platter. The catfish is spot on every time, and the platter is big enough to share if you are willing to give some of it up. Friendly staff always greet you with a smile. Seating is somewhat limited, but we usually don't have a problem. read more

Horrible! Ignored! No service in Choctaw, Ok unless you're known or personal friends with any of the wait-staff. My wife and I had dined at a fantastic friendly Boomerang Diner in Guthrie while our vehicle was undergoing some service and we thought it would be nice to eat a meal at the diner in Choctaw since it was so close to our home but we were wrong! Having to call for a waitress to get some coffee and iced tea served should have been the first clue to leave and go somewhere else to eat but we waited....and waited finally stopped a young lady clearing tables to see if we could place an order. She said that she would get someone to take our food order then, more waiting and watched while 3 different small groups of diners were served their beverages and each made their food orders.... Then, along came a waitress passing our table 2 to 3 tomes taking care of two of the tables next to and across the aisle from ours serving both, checking on how they were enjoying the food while ignoring us. Tried to get her attention but I guess the wait-staff only prioritize only the local people that they know personally because they chatted with two of the tables as their meals progressed. Three tables of diners who arrived after we were already seated and served beverages were served their drinks, meals, and two had finished their meals and were leaving when we left the Choctaw Bummerang diner and had a really nice experience at the Dixie Diner just down the road near Nicoma Park, OK. I do highly recommend the Dixie Diner! The wait-staff are really friendly and alert to customers who enter the Dixie Diner. Just forget the Choctaw Boomerang unless you like to be ignored and treated as if you don't exist. Total Alienation! read more

They have some really great deals on dinner meals. We each ate for well under $6 for a great burger with a side. I especially liked the tots as they were just right. It can get pretty busy here around dinner time but doesn't have too long of a wait. The servers here are really nice and welcoming. This place is on the small side so be prepared to feel close to neighboring patrons. Shouldn't be a problem if you're local. The first time we came here it was to order takeout. I took quite a bit of time to get a grilled cheese sandwich to go and fried pickles, but the food was pretty good. The second time we came in it was to eat. My husband ordered their fried catfish special that comes with two sides and hush puppies for under 10 bucks. He and our year old son chowed down. From what he says, the food was hot and tasted great. I'm sure we'll come back and order here again. The only pet peeve I have are establishments who give you your check as soon as your food comes out. Can I sit down and enjoy first before feeling rushed lol. I have never been more offended in my life. On Friday evening on the 8 the 8 th me and my cousin ate at boomerang in Choctaw. I orded chicken fry steak and my cousin order all you can eat catfish. I had to leave early so I Ask for Togo box for my steak. And would you believe the waitress in front of everyone told me she would not give me a Togo box untill my cousin ate all his fish . Embarrassed me basically accused me of being a thief in front of all the guest. I did not try to explain because I was very impressed I just left 90 percent of my meal behind. And paid for a full meal I will never eat there again. read more

This place is amazing. This is the second time I have been there, both times I just happened to be passing through Choctaw. The waitress was super friendly, the atmosphere was very laid back and welcoming, most importantly the food was excellent. I'd had a horrible day that just seemed to be getting worse when I finally decided to pull over and collect my thoughts. This little diner and it's very sweet and cheerful staff just made my day. We ordered 2 burgers and 2 chicken bite dinners for pickup. The burgers were great! The fries had been re-fried. You can tell because there was nothing left on the inside of the fry, and they were kinda chewy. The chicken bites were okay. When my husband called to let a manager know the lady was rude. We love this Boomarang! My son and I eat here one a week or every two weeks. We are always greeted warmly and the servers are always kind and attentive! The cooks routinely hang out up front talking with other staff, while waitresses visit and/or argue with each other in front of customers. We go here pretty often. My kids love it. It's one of the few places we can all go eat for under $30. I always get breakfast and my only complaint is that the biscuits taste like they've been reheated in the microwave. So that's a disappointment but everything else we've had has been great!
