The Black Raven has a classic pub atmosphere, so we really enjoyed that. I was disappointed that many items on the menu were not available, including the bangers and mash and shepherd's pie. I would like to go back if they had these things back on the menu. Everything came out piping hot. The fish and chips were good. I felt the bread pudding was just ok and not quite sweet enough. read more

Local small business that oozes charm and everything is made from scratch. If you are in Harrah visiting you need to make this a stop. We love the cottage pie, corned beef and cabbage and homemade bread pudding. We haven't tried the chocolate cake yet but will next time we come. The cozy pub atmosphere is perfect for a date night and the owner/operator really cares about what he does and he does it well! read more

What an absolute gem that will have your Irish eyes smiling. This decor, the charm, the fireplace. What a wonderful comfort for this traveler at the end of an awful rainy day. The food was nicely portioned, well-seasoned and worth coming back for. Shepherds pie is great but the braised cabbage is worth all the praise it has in other reviews. So, make the turn in this quaint Irish pub that will have you feeling like you are transported out of Oklahoma into the hills of Ireland. Hint: they close early so don't miss it!! read more

Great atmosphere, food was very good ! loved the Fish and Chips. Friends at the Shepards pie and the other had the Rubin and both lived there food. Chris was the best, she really was so personable. Legitimately one of my favorite places to eat so delicious. My only complaint would be I wish it was open more often. But the service is always amazing and so is the food. read more

Ireland is Oklahoma? Yes sir. Food is incredible. We were so excited we ordered one of everything. Corn beef and grilled cabbage outstanding! Cottage pie A+! Fish and Chips OH MY! Scottish eggs; homemade I have no word for how good. Irish bread pudding, I think it was excellent but I really couldn't feel my face from the Killian Red and Guinness. Service was good and the kilt added to the experience. They have done a nice job of capturing the Irish pub ambiance. read more

Cod fish is good , they have a limited menu items staff is friendly , the beer is flowing in there,!!!

Great place to get amazing Irish food! The service was pretty fast considering how busy they were, I would recommend giving it a try!

Food was good but portion sizes are not worth the steep price. Summer menu is small. Nothing more to say.

The food at Black Raven is always delicious! Hubby had the cottage pie, granddaughter had shepherd's pie, and I had fish and chips. We also got the bread pudding...ordered it when you order your meal. We eat here as often as we can! Service is also great, even tho they are short staffed at times. read more

UPDATE: the black Raven has become more consistent with their hours. The service has been great every time I've gone as of late and really enjoy the live music when it plays. I took one of my sisters last week that had never been and she said it's the best burger she's ever had. We always get the banger burger. It is so good. I highly recommend it. The Reuben is incredible as well. He makes his own corn beef. There's really nothing on the menu that I've tried that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. read more

Love this place. Great food, service and if you are lucky live music. Corned beef and cabbage is excellent. Raven burger is bomb.

Wow! What a wonderful surprise! Every single plate brought to the table was absolutely amazing! We had soda bread at the table that was legit! I then had the Raven Burger and fries. This is not a typical boring burger. This beef and pork mix burger was so dang flavorful I almost don't believe it! Go get it now! The specialty cheese offered is well worth a small upgrade too! read more

Excellent. Both menu and staff were outstanding on all three trips there. Great burgers and one of the e best steak value I've had in years. E live Celtic music added to the atmosphere. Wife loved it was so-so. Any a good good value, plus good food. I couldn't ask for more. read more

Started with the scotch eggs, they are Big and cooked perfectly, served with a great mustard absolutely worth the price and tasted Great. The main meal was Bangers and Mash, the bangers were great with good spices, the potatoes were good, the gravy needed a little seasoning but all in all, the meal was great and you got plenty to eat, the service was good decor was fantastic it did remind me of some of the pubs I spent time in during my 8 years in England, I would recommend the restaurant and I plan on returning to try the fish and chips. read more

The fish and chips is fantastic. The bread pudding is amazing. The staff was attentive and took care of our every need.

Love this place Scotty is your host with a wicked since of humor and no nonsense personality. He runs a tight ship and the food and service are great. If this pub is running busy then bring your patience as a few days a week Scotty is a one man show. Enjoy the music atmosphere and strike up some conversation to pass the time. The onion rings are amazing and big enough for a small crowd. Love the fish/Chips & bangers N mash Those people that posted a bitchy complaint must of come in expecting something different and just couldn't go with the flow. You people should go elsewhere because you bum out the good vibes read more

We were in town for the Polish festival, and on our way out we saw the Black Raven and decide to check it out. The inside was unassuming, but completely full. We were able to grab a table by the bar and ordered a round of beers and fried mushrooms to start. These mushrooms were HUGE! The breading was very crispy and rich. I ordered the rueben and my husband got the corned beef. The BEST rueben I've ever had. Period. Ruebens can be dry, but the corned beef was perfectly moist. Loved the colcannon side as well. A small town hidden gem! read more

I don't even know where to start. Ordered the peat bog which is "chips" smothered in shepherds pie & cheese and the bangers and cheddar appetizers and almost had to lick the plates clean due to deliciousness. The irish martini is STRONG, so not my style but the on tap Strongbow Hard Cider was. I even had one where they added cinammon whiskey and it tastes like cinnamon apple pie. I don't remember what they call it because we were joking calling it StrongBalls.Soooo good! Beautiful decor! Just fantastic all around! I would definitely return. We had the pleasure of listening to Ravens Three when we went, which is a local Irish Folkmusic Trio and they are amazing!!! read more

The fish and chip were small quantities and greasy. Service was an inconvenience for the bartender. A dump. I base this 2 years in the Uk.

Have been coming here for years. Great local hangout where you can get to know the staff. There's usually a performer on weekend nights. The fiddle player creates a perfect lively Irish atmosphere. It's always a friendly and fun atmosphere here. They have several good tap beer options and a great whiskey selection. My menu favorites are the onion rings, corned beef, and soda bread. The fish n chips and burgers are good as well. The bread pudding is a nice treat but they make it to order so order it with your entree or you'll be waiting a while if you wait to order after you're done eating. read more

Waited over an hour for food with no acknowledgment of the wait. When we asked about the food an hour and 20 minutes in, there was no apology and the waitress said "we are short staffed", rolled her eyes and walked off. I understand being short staffed and I am always willing to offer extra grace to people in the service industry as I worked in it for almost 20 years but this was beyond a terrible experience. read more

Unique find in Choctaw! an authentic Irish pub with outstanding food and drinks! This was a girl's night out and it did not disappoint! Friendly knowledgeable service! I have eaten fish and chips in Ireland. The fish is beer battered cod with a heaping pile of chips (French fries). Will definitely return to this hidden gem. read more

We hadn't been to the Black Raven in Harrah since before covid. By luck we were in Harrah on another matter around dinner time & decided on a return engagement for one of the best Irish repasts around Central Oklahoma. We started it off with the Peat bog an appetizer consisting of Irish chips, cottage pie mix, topped with Guinness cheddar cheese, delicious! Our party was hungry so we decided to try as much as we could. The corned beef and cabbage was full of flavor with a serving large enough for three people. The fish and chips were with traditional Irish chips and had a golden brown crust over tasty white fish. A cottage pie (similar to Sheppard pie but with beef & pork) came out with a mashed potato covered deliciousness. Beef and Guinness stew rounded out our main course. We topped it off by splitting two desserts, an amazing chocolate cake, & a bread pudding straight from the oven. An Irish fiddler entertained us all evening. For a really great time, plus really great food try out the Black Raven. read more

This was my first time at the Black Raven, I must say I'm impressed. It may not look like much from the outside, but it's absolutely cozy on the inside. It's an Irish/Scottish bar with some great pub fare options. The fish and chips are great and the ice cream with Jamison caramel is to die for. read more

I can't praise this place enough. From the moment we were greeted when entering until we left the service was perfect. The food was the best Irish food I've had outside the United Kingdom. I had the cottage pie, my wife had the steak, and our friends had two of the burgers. It was unanimously loved by all, and the bread pudding was magical and prepared fresh (takes and 15 minutes). read more

We have been there a few times and wanted this to be our go to for our monthly dinners. As of this evening that would be a NO! We arrived at 6, they open at 5 and was informed that the ingredients for the Ruben would not be ready til 7. Ordered beers to wait. At 7;00 was told another 15 minutes. Asked for another item for myself and was told in the end all he had was fish and chips, had the steaks but were not cut so "Don't have those". In the end came out at 8:15 with to go boxes with salads. Got home and the salad was something I could have gotten on a bag from the store. According to the owner, while he had lots of help, it was just him and a cook. Claimed he was just soo busy he could not keep stocked with food. Hope he decides to understand the amount of food he needs OR maybe he does not care because people will just except what he has and get over it !! read more

Food was great. Service was great and the ambiance was great. They sometimes have live bands.

Love this place!! Consistently great food, friendly fast service, and the Guinness chocolate cake is to die for!!

Oh, how I love finding new places on a whim! When we sadly found out that Old Germany closed, we ended up searching around and found The Black Raven. As I walked in, my excitement grew due to the fact this little joint had a band. Let me tell you that this Irish band is pretty impressive! I don't know if they have an actual name or if they are there regularly, but they were terrific. Of course, I didn't know any of the songs that they played, which didn't matter, because there was one time where I stopped eating and talking to bask in whatever song that they were playing. I had the Shepards Pie and my boyfriend had one of the Ribeyes with potatoes. The shepherds pie was tasty, though slightly dry. I just wanted a little gravy with the meat mixture. Also, it was just the right size that I didn't have to think about taking leftovers. Nonetheless, I would order it again after I went through the menu because I had a hard time choosing. My boyfriends' ribeye was on point. It was covered with the most delicious mushrooms I've ever eaten. I would personally, order just that as a both of my sides if they had that available. The ribeye was good, but in my mind, the mushrooms were the star of that plate. Don't judge me!...lol. I can't wait to go back. The waitress was very attentive and gave great service. This is by far the best Irish pub in and around OKC. Bangers and mash are on my list to try and when I'm having a good or bad week... so will that Chocolate Cake! read more
