Excellent service from Malia, the bartender! Food at Pub W has been consistent. I really enjoy their Salmon Poke Bowl so I always order it. Chris loves the Protein Bowl. He added Chicken this time along with a Fried Egg. He did ask them to make him another egg because the first one came out hard fried instead of over easy like he ordered. They did happily oblige. Visited on Mother's Day, so yes, they were very busy. On that note, they do not offer a phone waitlist or take reservations, so you must go in person to put your name on the list and provide your party size. We were told that larger parties are seated before parties of two, regardless of arrival time. There were tables available, but they needed to be cleaned, which added to the wait time. There were three young girls and one young man managing the wait list, but it seemed there was some confusion among them about who was doing what. A couple of them could have been helping clean tables to get guests seated faster. Once we were seated, however, the customer service was great and the food was delicious. read more

We love Pub W! We had their whiskey flight (very small tastes and not really worth $12), smoked sirloin (10/10), the chupacabra sandwich (9/10), and the sides as advertised. Service was very slow, though, and we had to flag a busboy down to get our check. read more

At a corner of a small strip mall. Huge fan that looked like a helicopter rotor in the middle of the room. Large bar situated at the far end. Came in with a couple co-workers for quick lunch on a weekday. They were not extremely busy but did have quite a few patrons. We asked for and got a booth. I always order the Spicy Shrimp Taco, and they were okay, but the rice and beans were especially good today. One of my friends got the same and she loved it. The other lady got the Chicken Power Bowl and said it was really good too. Overall, the experience was pleasant and accommodating. Server was nice and friendly enough. read more

Pubdub has some serious FLAVOR! We started with the buffalo Brussels sprouts for an appetizer. It's like eating buffalo wings but vegetarian (and probably better for you). The chili lime chicken salad was also delicious. I got the filet with more Brussels sprouts (it's my favorite, what can I say?!) and opted out of the cheesy polenta for green beans. Everything I ordered was well seasoned and tasty. Very impressed. The service was quick, polite and helpful. The ambiance is cozy. We came at an odd time (think linner) and had no problem getting a table. I'm sure it can get packed here for a big game, which would be fun. The decor is fun with pictures of famous people with a W in their name. Still trying to figure out why Ronald Reagan though?! Lol This place is worth a try! Absolutely nothing negative to say about this visit. All staff were super attentive. Food came out quickly and was delicious! The Salmon Poke Bowl is served chilled and was so refreshing on such a hot summer day. The burger was cooked perfectly (and so was the fried egg on it!). I was tempted to get the Bruschetta starter as my meal because it sounded so good, so I was pleased to find the chicken Bruschetta as a great and unique entree option! We didn't have drinks, but the full bar here is impressive. This would be a fantastic location to have cocktails in a more laid back location and to avoid a loud, stuffy bar. The menu has such a a variety of enticing options, I found myself already thinking about when I could return so I could try more things! read more

Let me just say that this is not the same pub W cheesesteak as the last time I ate there. I understand then you change and things evolve, but I was OK paying $18 for a FILET "chopped" cheesesteak , Now so much. until now, I had always gotten my food to go (my husband and kid would dine- in) but I have eaten there several times. The water served was warm and not chilled. I ask for a cup of glass ice. My husband got the chicken tenders and I got the cheesesteak. My biggest issue with the cheesesteak when I got it to-go was the bun was often very soggy when I got home and I usually just get it on the side so this is avoided. I was immediately shocked when my sandwich came out and the bread already --instantly soggy Like It was raw dough. The inside where It had been toasted held up a lot better than the exterior. I originally thought something was off about the cheesesteak, but it was still OK. The flavor profile wasn't what I remembered and it was a lot tougher. When I ate as much as I could and we were leaving I was asked how everything was and I did not want to lie so I let her know. Come to find out the steak is no longer fillet. It is sirloin. It is just listed as steak on the menu--- but still the same price... no mention the meat is now smoked and then grilled... just mentions grilled on the menu... the smoked meat changes everything--and IMO not for the better- i get not having single use items but this is not even worth the price and it was SO MUCH BETTER BEFORE! It is no longer only grilled. It is first smoked then grilled. The steak was so hard to chew that I basically had to cut them into smaller bites because I was unable to chew them on my sandwich. I did let her know about the bread situation and she said that shouldn't be happening. She did ask how I liked the new cheesesteak and I let her know I was not a fan. Also their menu does not mention that they have changed from fillet to sirloin, and the price remain the same. Their menu does not mention that the meat is also smoked first then grilled. When I suggested that the steak should chopped into smaller bite-size pieces for a sandwich would also alleviate some of the trouble I had with chewing my steak I was told that they butcher in house and it shouldn't be that tough. They smoke the sirloins to medium rare and they then dice the meat to be prepared on the flat top when ordered for multiple menu items. Louie's ribeye "chopped" cheesesteak is so much better and it is cheaper and they include green peppers on it. read more

There were 10 of us that arrived at 5:10 pm on a Thursday evening ! We finally received our food at 6:10 after getting two managers involved ! Tge food was immediately delivered which lead us to believe it had been setting in kitchen ! However, we asked for our tickets immediately because we were going to be late for our event and they redid the tickets 3 times !!! They could not get one order of cornbread on the correct ticket and I'm not sure I even know who paid for my meatloaf !!! Horrible and frustrating experience read more

This review is after my first visit, but after I tasted the fried chicken strips my wife brought home yesterday. The chicken strips and french fries she brought home yesterday were the best ever I have eaten. I decided then and there I would try Pub W today myself. Since me and my wife of 51 years spend alot of time on the coast of Florida and Spain, I consider myself very experienced when it comes to detecting the difference between fresh and fishy tasting seafood. Being a bred and born Oklahoma I also know that frozen seafood is a staple in Oklahoma. Not so with Pub W. I spoke with Sean, the general manager, and found out all of the seafood is shipped in fresh, never frozen, from the New England and Canadian Atlantic waters. This is a newer Oklahoma restaurant chain from the Legendary Hal Smith. I know Mr. Smith from my insurance days back in the late 1990s when we had him as a customer. I will be making regular trips to Pub W from now on. I am a huge Pub W fan and have written several great reviews, however, today was a totally different story for me. The hubs and I had brunch. The mimosa carafes were not even close to being full (pics of all of these things as well), my breakfast burrito bowl (which I've had many times and I love it) was cold. Not warm, not room temperature, but cool. Jessica checked on us immediately after the expeditor dropped off our food and not again until my husband was done with his perfectly great and hot food. I would have asked her to have it heated but I was extremely hungry and my husband was eating away. Mine was so cool that the cheese couldn't even melt. Total miss for me today but hey, at least my husband got good and hot food and orange juice served as a mimosa. Disappointed in one of my fave places. Again, pics of all attached. read more

Great place for lunch, dinner or brunch on the weekends. They have a thing called squash puppies and boy are the yummy!! The only thing I've order I didn't like was a seafood platter where the shrimp was really flattened and couldn't taste the shrimp. But the waitstaff and managers are wonderful, so nice! The food is made there and not frozen. Biscuits are fluffy, whitefish, chicken with Brie are very good. Also they have a wide variety of libations. You'll have a hard time choosing. We started with drinks & I had the oaxacan on sunshine & it was so good, I had 2. We also started with the pigs in a blanket appetizer & they were so good with the beer cheese dip & the pastry dough was thin & crispy. Date night after a round of golf!! We sat in the bar area which was pretty nice. Friendly and upbeat bartender who served us and never let our glass go empty. I had the chicken bacon club and my husband had the Philly cheesesteak they both were great options. One suggestion I might add is to take off the tomato on the club it makes the sandwich really soggy (my mistake to leave it on). The chicken side is so juicy that you didn't need the tomato. The sweet potato friws were really good and my husband's Philly was awesome. We will definitely be back! The restaurant is pretty dim light at night and music is pretty loud but certainly not too much where you can't hear the person next to you. It's not too high class and family friendly. This was a very relaxed place to hang out. The fish & chips were very good. Nice and crispy and flavorful. My wife said her nachos were good, and the chicken had great flavor. My sister said the chicken and brie sandwich was amazing. The pigs in a blanket were very good. Smokey sausages wrapped in a croissant style pastry. The star of the show, however, was the roasted Buffalo Brussel sprouts. Sweet, spicy, tangy, and roasted to perfection with blue cheese crumbles. A must try! The service there was amazing as well. My girlfriend and I went to Pub W for lunch with my boss today. She and I are new to the area and we must say.. Wow! Starting with the industrial feel inside of the very open restaurant.. very cool!! Wait staff were friendly and helpful! Knowledgeable of the menu was a plus for them! I had the meat loaf, and she had the tacos. Although I'm not a big Salmon fan, I tried the tacos, and was quite surprised at the explosion of wonderful flavors! My meatloaf was good, portion was a little big, but nevertheless, delicious. We are big time pub W fans, but we especially love this location. If it's been two weeks since we've gone without stopping by- send a welfare check out! Haha The staff is always upbeat, kind and attentive. When it's just my husband and I we sit at the bar and usually have Sydney serve us (like today for Saturday brunch). The Yukon location has opened, and it was awesome! I could eat their Squashpuppies all day! They are light and yummy with the Honey Butter. I had the Cheeseburger, and it was classic and delicious. My daughter had the Filet Salad, and she loved it. My son had the Chopped Cheesesteak Sandwich which was also a hit!Desserts were great as well. HORRIBLE SERVICE... took close to an hour to be sat. Our Food took almost an hour to come to our table. I went to the bathroom and was LOCKED INTO THE STALL!!! The lock on the door was jammed and i couldn't get out of the stall... I had to call my mom to come bring a worker to help me. The workers were very rude and not helpful or resentful they literally did not care at all that I was locked in a tiny bathroom and scared. They didn't comp our meal or give us a discount at all. We paid over $100 for the worst service we have ever had in norman EVER. So if you go to pub W don't go to the bathroom. Maybe just don't go to pub w! read more

Out of the few years I have been coming to Pub W, it has always been solid. Today, I ordered a filet mignon, medium rare, it came out well done and told them it wasn't a big deal and next thing I know they have me the same meal delivered, cooked to perfection, and no extra charge.
