When I first saw the menu, it isn't all that broad, and you're pretty much going to have to like chicken wings if you're going to eat here. But let me tell you, they know how to do chicken right! Double fried, these wings are crunchy, and absolutely delicious! I got the spicy Thai wings and devoured them so quickly, I wish I had ordered more! I did order a side of fries, which were good, but definitely not the star of the show. My boyfriend got the sliders, and they were really good as well. The chicken was pounded and fried, which made for a really crispy slider. I wish I lived closer, because I'd be eating here every week! Highly recommend!

This place is centrally located which makes it super easy to visit. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable! Now to the WANGS, I got the honey wings and the flavor was amazing! Very messy but what should I expect with honey wings! The sweet potato wings were very good as well. I will definitely be back and hopefully try a different flavor!!

Chick-N-Beer offers different flavors than other chicken wings shop. Whether the flavors are flavorful is a different story. As with any non-franchise restaurants, Chick-N-Beer charges their customers a higher price than a franchise chicken wings shop. This is usually the case and that's fair as long as the tastiness of the food justify the higher price. After all, quality of the food is just as important to consumers. This is where Chick-N-Beer would like to improve. I got to try three flavors: honey lemon pepper, Thai Chili, and Goujang (don't remember the spelling). Out of the three, the Thai Chili was the best and the Goujang was the worst. Unfortunately, even the Thai Chili was not as great as mango habanero or Asian Zing from BWW. So now, I am at a dilemma, do I go to Chick-N-Beer just for different flavors or do I go to BWW for my old favorites? The answer is clear for me but it may not be for you. You could give it a try for yourself and come back and like this review if you agree.

Recently came here for lunch because it's been awhile, and was not disappointed! My partner and I got the honey lemon pepper wings, and they tasted better than ever before! We came at an off time, so they weren't very busy. We had good service and everything came out pretty fast. It's a casual place to stop for a bite to eat and the food is always excellent!

Salt and pepper wings tossed in sauted onions, jalapenos, and garlic

Lunch at Chick and Beer on Saturday. We had been to Chick and Beer not long after they opened a few years ago, so it had been a while. The place was humming with a cool vibe. Even though they were busy, the service was great. We started with fried pickels. I was a little disappointed. They were OK, but lacked the robust flavor that I had anticipated. They definitely fell flat on the palate. We each order the six piece wings. I ordered salt and pepper that come tossed in sauted jalapenos, onions, and garlic. Very nice! Jan ordered the honey lemon pepper. I thought here we go again, girl gone lemon. Wow, was I surprised. They were excellent. Where the pickels fell flat on the palate, the honey lemon pepper wings exploded my taste buds. Chick and beer is a fun, lively restaurant. If you're looking for a wing place with a good beer selection, this is your place.

Thai Crunch Salad (missing mandarin)

Ordered Thai salad & Garlic parm wings for pickup. Got back to my room, and my salad was missing the mandarin. Salad was still good, but check your food and make sure you're getting what you ordered. Wings were good, meat was cooked perfect. But they were Szechuan garlic parm wings, and it just tasted like garlic parm. Was expecting more of an Asian spice. Still good with ranch.

Nacho Average Chick

I had been hearing about this place for many years and finally decided to check it out. We started with beer and the Nacho Average Chick. The nachos were SO GOOD. Then we each got boneless wings, and they tasted very fresh. The vibe inside is cozy and comfortable. It's an old house that's been converted into a restaurant, and in the back there is a beer garden that you should definitely check out after you eat.

Last week my wife and I were watching old episodes of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri. He'd reviewed this place. I was flying into OKC on Sunday and decided to give it a go. I bellied up to the bar, which was sticky, and ordered an IPA, Gochujang traditional wings, Mango Thai Chili traditional wings (both recommended by the bartender), Traditional Fries, and House Pickles (cucumber). I noticed the bartender was pouring essentially foam into a glass, transferring some IPA to another glass, and doing this until I had a full glass. I asked him about that and he said something about when it gets warmer outside he has this problem as the lines are long from the kegs. I've watched enough Bar Rescue episodes to know that 1) yes, that can be the problem, and 2) that shouldn't be a problem in a reputable establishment. I mean, after all, doesn't it get even hotter around here in the summer? The IPA ended up being a bit warmer than what I'm accustom to and the carbonation was almost non-existent. But enough about that. The wings: I suppose I expected more since this was on Guy's show and he was impressed. I assumed tender, meaty wings. The Gochujang traditional wings were not. They were fairly tough. Not sure if it was the Sunday night chef overcooking or what. Flavor was great! The Mango Thai Chili traditional wings were more tender and they were flavorful as well. The traditional fries were a bit soggy. They were, however, hot and editable. The House Pickles were delicious and a great complement to the wings. I decided not to have a second IPA since I wasn't happy with the first one. And finally, when the bill came I noticed I was charged $0.50 more for the wings and $0.25 more for the pickles. I know, I know, so what, it's $0.75. It's something I wouldn't generally notice, but I ordered the pickles because I saw they were only $1.25 on the QR-only menu and that number stuck in my head. I pointed this out and the bartender did discount me the three-quarters difference. Bottom line: sauces are really good and flavorful. Place needs some work to be squeaky clean. Not sure I will be back.
