A great brewery with great staples and rotating selections. The beer is as great as their names and they have something for everyone. Oklahoma is home away from home for me and Roughtail is a place we make sure to visit every time we visit! Lots of seating, great staff, and an overall welcoming place.

Let's start with the ambiance. This brewery gives me all the feels. (I'm a former Denver-ite with high expectations for breweries). Literally a great OK-based watering hole. The beer names are absolutely on point, adding to the ambiance. When I try new breweries I like to test out a flight. They offered such a range of choices I got some of each and was definitely not disappointed. When we were there the kitchen was out of service but the staff led with that information and offered substitutes openly. Great space, great service, great beer.

Great lively venue, especially on trivia night. Lots of great menu choices that accommodates food allergies. Enjoyed the mushroom Reuben without a bun and the cheese; fries were great. Both had so much flavor. The seltzer slushie was also full of tropical flavors. Really friendly staff, cool decor and great menus (drink and food).

Service is typically great when I am traveling through. Brew selections are always good! Environmentally not overwhelming when you walk in. One of my pit stops.

Everyone is always so helpful very knowledgeable and friendly. The food is quite tasty too, dont forget to try their Harry Potter inspired butter beer I can't belive it's not butter. Magnetic Disturbance is what keeps me coming back. Chill ambiance.

This is a pretty sweet brewery with a lot of selections. I chose the Migrating Coconuts which is an Imperial Porter with Coconut. Not too rich and very delicious. I brought home a six pack. We ordered the Chili Cheese Fries (Chili on the side) and Thai Chicken Flatbread. It was pretty decent for bar food. I appreciated that the items had fresh jalepeno slices instead of pickled jalepenos. The servers were very informative and friendly. I highly recommend the delicious beers here.

Always have loved the beer and atmosphere here, plus I like free stickers. Friendly staff and knowledgeable about their beers.

Valentines Day Special, beer flight with charcuterie board and chocolate dipped strawberries. Everything is great. Roughtail put together another successful event

The atmosphere and beer were awesome. The tap room is quite large but still feels cozy. The beer tenders were amazing and Jason was super friendly stopping by our table to chat and provide us with information on the upcoming weather in the area. We would definitely stop back when in OKC again.

The atmosphere is easygoing. Large space to spread out. Vast selection of beer and spirits. Food was great with a lot to choose from.

Fried Cauliflower Wrap

I absolutely love this brewery. It's one of my favorites in OKC as a patron for 4+ years now. I've been coming to this brewery before they added the kitchen and restricted fur babies in the building. Dont worry, pooches are still allowed on the patio, it's just a little harder during summer months when temps peak. The vibe is welcoming, comfy and casual. Order food and drinks at the main bar. I decided to try the fried cauliflower wrap w/ fries and their roam & ramble blonde ale. The wrap was delicious with exception to a hidden ingredient not listed on the menu. I guess they drench the greens in a vinegar or vinaigrette which makes the wrap extremely sour. I detest vinegar (with exception to pickles because duh they are delicious). I was too hungry to protest but know my stomach is going to be upset later. Hopefully they can disclose "dressed" food on the menu instead of surprising guests haha the fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Warning, I think their ranch is from a bottle. Service is always top notch and even on the patio other days I have stopped in. Great location to bring the kiddos, family and friends. They have a rack near the restroom with board & card games. They also offer a large enclosed space for special events/parties. Take a look at my pics for the menu and contact info for events!

Is this a pet friendly brewery?

No longer pet friendly indoors! Due to serving food as of two weeks ago.

Can a child accompany an adult on your patio?

Children are allowed in a majority area of the brewery inside and out. They even have board games available, but I'm not sure how that works during covid and precautions

We were seated by the hostess and waited over 15 minutes with no service (while tables around us were being helped). I was ready to walk out. Thankfully, we moved to the bar area, found a table, and Stephany saved the day! She immediately noticed we were frustrated and turned the whole experience around. She took excellent care of us, and from that point on everything was fantastic. I had the chicken salad and my wife had the burger -- both were delicious. The drinks were also excellent. Stephany really made the difference. We went from almost leaving to having a great time. Food and service at the bar were outstanding! Would return and specifically ask for Stephany.

"Diced grilled chicken, shredded romaine, avocado, pico de gallo, black beans, corn, mozzarella cheese, citrus dressing, cumin-lime sour cream drizzle, crispy flour tortilla shell" It was packed up well, and I appreciated that they packed the chicken separately, as it was still hot and didn't affect the texture of the salad. It was just a 5 minute walk back to my hotel room so everything was fresh. At first I was impressed with the salad, until I realized it was atop a giant fried tortilla that took up half the to go container. Like a chipotle burrito sized tortilla. It had a lot of corn and black beans, but it was short on the pico and avocado and frankly lettuce. Though a good amount of chicken, which was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The citrus dressing was tasty but very watery and did not cling to the salad. It mostly just pooled at the bottom. The sour cream didn't seem to have any lime, but just tasted like bitter dried chili powder. The fried tortilla was crispy and oily and mostly wasted. The salad was just ok. Probably better to eat at the location and not as a takeaway. I have been here a couple of times and the best thing I have had here were the green beans. They're very good green beans. Everything else has been pretty average.

All secondary roads are still snow packed so at 11:30 there was only one other couple in the restrauant. The Press is in an old (1920's ?) repourposed building. The interior is comfortable, charming and a bit whimsical. We started with an order of cheese sticks. They were very good and large. I liked that the cheese sticks did not have Italian seasoning in the breading. Jan ordered the chicken fried ribeye with mashed potatoes, cream gravey and green beans. Jan loved it. I took a bite of the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. The green beans were very good. They were loaded with garlic, which I love, but if you're not a garlic fan, I would suggest another side. I ordered the grilled chicked sandwich with waffle fries. The sandwich was good and the waffle fries were excellent. The portions are large and the food quality excellent. The prices reasonable. The menu has variety. You can't go wrong by dining at The Press.

I got the Press Cobb salad but asked if they'd turn it into a wrap, and they didn't give me any trouble about it. Easier to eat when you're trying to talk and chew at the same time. The wrap was fresh, filling, decent mix of chicken, bacon, veggies, dressing not drowning in lettuce like some Cobb salads end up being. Waffle fries were crispy when they showed up but cooled off pretty quick once we got into conversation, so eat those first I guess.
