McNellie's has the best beef stroganoff, hands down, in OKC (so far however because I have tried it @ RJ Supper Club - which does it in a different style-but Cattleman's Steak House has a Thursday lunch special that serves it which I haven't tried). Fluffy egg noodles with that tasty brown stroganoff sauce and chunks of beef. Excellent potato and bacon soup as well, and their red pepper hummus plate with veggies (carrots and celery), nice and big cloves of garlic and pita pieces is great too. Nice assortment of beverages as well like cranberry, pineapple and apple juice, plus Arnold Palmers and many beers on tap, wine, harder liquor and cocktails. Service was also exceptional. This place is solid! The fish and chips are incredible. Light crispy batter with a clean tasting fish. They also had malt vinegar which was great. The breakfast jumble, I think that's what it was called, was delicious. The pork was tender and tasted fresh, not reheated. The cheese sauce, potatoes, and grilled onions and peppers were all complementary flavors that pulled the dish together nicely. Overall we thought the price of the food was perfect. Sometimes you go to a place that charges crazy prices for okay food. We felt that this pub offers great food at a very reasonable price. Service was great as well. We will be back! read more

Friday Lunch at McNellie's. Fun venue although the interior is getting a little tired, however you might find that charming and consistent with an old Irish pub. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich that was OK. No wow factor here, on the average side. Did not care for the fries. The flavor was OK, but they were a bit mushy. Maybe under cooked. Dropped into McNellie's for a laid-back dinner and some OU softball at the bar--and it delivered on all fronts. We grabbed seats at the bar to catch the game, and the bartender was awesome--attentive without hovering, super friendly, and made sure our drinks stayed full and our experience stayed chill. McNellie's OKC is one of the coolest and most cost efficient hang out spots. I have not been back in ages. This pub was a frequent stop on Wednesday nights when I was in school. If I remember correctly, McNellie's has burger night every Wednesday where you could get a burger for A REALLY CHEAP PRICE. It was insanely cheap, can't remember the actual cost. The burger was okay though, but for that price, sign me up anytime. They also have a good selection of beer as well. The pub also has games and other activities to do while enjoying your cheap beer and burger. McNellie's simply is that awesome of a place. My first visit to McNellie's was for an F1 Watch party and I couldn't have had a better experience! It is a beautiful establishment and the food...omg the food and drinks were phenomenal. We started with Irish Nachos, then had Crispy Gochujang Pork, and also split a Patty Melt with a side of fruit. Everything was so amazing. Even more impressive was the service we received. Our server, Garcia, was top tier baby! He had nearly the entire floor but his integrity was unfaltering. As soon as we were out of a drink, he was right there with a refill. Upon our last bites, he was right there removing the trays...he was just as incredible to watch as the race on the big screen. I haven't been to McNellie's for a few years and so happy to see the Upbeat decor has not changed. I ordered the Icelandic fried Haddock and chips - the Haddock was fried a light golden brown, flaky and moist and delicious. My hubby ordered the Ruben sandwich with fries - the corn beef was made in house (not the grocery store deli processed meat) sandwich was on rye bread with sliced corn beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, Russian dressing. Stopped in for a casual bite and left seriously impressed! I ordered the Fish and Parmesan French fries, and wow--absolutely delicious. The fish was golden and crispy on the outside, perfectly flaky on the inside. And those fries? Addictively good. That parmesan topping took them to another level. What really made the experience shine was our server, Whitney. She was friendly, quick with refills, and had a great sense of humor--made us feel right at home without being overbearing. Such a fun bar with lots of space and weekly events! They are doing their St. Patty's Day weekend festivities the 15th & 16th so we will check that out shortly. We went two nights ago for the meatball sub special they were having. It was epic! Huge, delicious and heavily flavored with Italian spices vs eating just hamburger balls. My first review didn't detail much about the third floor, but there is a restroom up there around the bar toward the east, and they have some dart boards at the SW area. I picked up dinner one evening and enjoyed it but didn't find the wow factor others mention. The stroganoff was tasty but didn't have much meat, large amounts of mushrooms. McNellies always has some delicious food with an even better atmosphere. There's a variety of different places you can sit: inside, outside, sitting by the window to people watch. I like to sit by the window and watch all the people walking their dogs go by. I've tried if you different dishes that they make. The last time I went in I got their special which was a fried chicken sandwich and I got a side of sweet potato fries, which were delicious as usual. The chicken was extremely crispy on the outside and juicy and delicious on the inside. It was perfectly cooked and it tasted mouthwatering and amaZBalls. My friend had ordered the same special except he ordered regular french fries instead of the sweet potato fries and let me tell you both fries are made perfectly. I didn't think I could finish that whole plate, but it was so delicious that I ate every bit. Whenever we went they had pint night. It was nine dollars for a special beer and you get to keep the glass that it comes in. Overall my experience was great. We came to this place because the Brazil breakfast joint next door had a wait and I'm so glad we decided to stop here! We sat outside looking out at Midtown and it was a beautiful day. Our waitress was extremely attentive and we had great service. To start, everything is large portions! We came here for brunch and all of us were stuffed with leftovers. Their beer and alcohol selection is HUGE! If you like to drink this is definitely the place for you! We started with coffee and mimosas. We had the whole bottle of Champaign with two glasses, they were strong mimosas super good and gave about 6 glasses! The coffee was in a huge cup. The food, wow it was so good. I'm going to especially point out their potatoes as they seasoned them perfectly. I had the side of potatoes and they were delicious. For breakfast, I had the chicken and biscuits with jalapeño sauce and cheese. It was delicious, the chicken was fried and cooked well. The biscuits and gravy were delicious, super flavorful! Lastly, the prices were super good! It's fine dining but cheap. My boyfriend and I each had a meal with sides (extra) with a whole bottle of Champaign for $40.
