The menu board had plenty of options that caught my eye, but I knew the mission when I walked through the door -- BURGER! I ordered the Oklahoma Smashie, a double smash burger with two beef patties, American cheese, grilled onions, pickles and Goose Sauce. This was a very tasty burger! The patties had those crispy edges you want from a smash burger, the cheese was melted perfectly, and the pickles and sauce pulled everything together. For my side, I went with the cucumber salad. I really wanted to like this one, but unfortunately it was the slight disappointment of the meal. It wasn't bad, it just didn't hit the same level as that burger. The Goose describes itself as a dive bar and sandwich shop, but I actually found the place pretty interesting. It has that comfortable neighborhood-joint feel -- nothing fancy, just a cool place to sit down, grab some food and enjoy lunch with a friend. Service was also excellent. The person working the counter was friendly, answered all of our questions and offered some great suggestions without rushing us. Overall: 4 's from me. The Oklahoma Smashie definitely delivered, and looking at everything else on that menu, I've already got a few reasons to come back. This one is absolutely getting a return visit!

Most things served in the restaurant are made in-house from scratch and those ingredients are sourced locally in Oklahoma which I find to be pretty awesome! Their burgers are delicious, so its extremely hard for me to come here and order something other than that, but I have still been impressed when I have ordered other types of entrees. Lastly, you have to try their whiskey cake at LEAST once. I'm weird about my desserts and only eat one type of cake, one type of pie, one type of ice cream, etc... well, I have make an exception for cake. The only type of cake I eat is regular white cake w/ buttercream icing, but I had to create a lone exception for Whiskey Cake's whiskey cake.
