Wow! What a place! Everything here is top notch. Good selection for mocktails which was much appreciated. We started with the bread which was a meal in itself and divine. I did the chicken remoulade which was so good paired with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The service was also incredible and very thoughtful. Would love to come back!
We celebrated Christmas with an early dinner at Vast. No matter how many times I've been, the view continues to impress. We were fortunate enough to have Will guide us through the evening and its many wonderful choices. The service was impeccable as always. Count yourself fortunate if Will introduces himself at your table. The food was as delicious to my eyes as it was to my tongue. Even though there were four of us we mostly had the same dishes. We shared the Chef's Cheese and Charcuterie Board as the starter. It was beautifully presented with enough variety to make everyone happy. Three of us enjoyed the Red Pepper Miso Bisque while my husband ordered the Caesar Salad. In a funny twist of fate we all ordered the Chicken Roulade. It's a playful spin on a German Rouladen and wonderful.
It was our first time to visit Vast. Valet parking is available, and upon entering the Devon Tower, there is a hostess downstairs that will check you in and direct you to the elevators, which take you to the 39th floor. Betsy was our server and did a great job guiding us through the evening. My husband stated that his old fashion drink was one of the better one's that he has ever had. Small bread board was more than enough for the two of us. We split the salad that had a wonderful goat cheese with it. My chicken dish was okay, but disappointed that the mash potatoes weren't hot. My husband's steak was delicious and the scallop that he shared with me was my favorite. Thank you to Vast for the complimentary treat to finish off our meal. Of course, who doesn't go to Vast for the view of OKC, it was an amazing evening.
The food was amazing from the bread to the perfectly cooked steak... can't forget the potatoes and carrots as well as the asparagus! Jake provided excellent service and was not pushy or overbearing. The other supporting staff kept our water glass full and kept the table free of dirty dishes. Vast has the unique distinction of occupying the top two floors of the 50 story Devon tower in downtown Oklahoma City. This means that the ambiance is automatically amazing. From the bird's eye views of Oklahoma City to the modern furnishings Vast is really an incredible special occasion restaurant.
I love how they have a changing menu I was able to enjoy the Cajun menu. The food was really good. They had a VAST amount of delicious dessert items (see what I did there). All in all the food was really flavorful and good. I'm not a big buffet guy, but this one was pretty good and I love everything about the Devon tower!!!! as always the service was really good and the vibe of the Devon building is always 10 out of 10 for me. Thanks for always providing a cool time.
WOW - just WOW! What a beautiful location and view! (Especially since we watched a thunderstorm in the distance from the GREAT ALTITUDE at the TOP of the building!) I felt I should be wearing a gown as the Vast restaurant was that elegant! Service was tip-top - and I felt like a queen! Our server - Jarvin - couldn't have been more helpful and precise. He truly listened to our questions and made suggestions. He even hand-crafted my favorite cocktail when I told him about it - and gave me the recipe he actually created at the end of dinner. Our food was delicious - but I must say the menu was a tad deceiving. We had thought the butternut squash pepper steak would actually be meat - but it turns out the butternut squash - cooked to perfection and topped with a delicious peppercorn sauce - was the "steak!" As you'll see in the photos, our children made much better meal selections! Since our meal was so healthy, we shared a molten lava cake with ice cream for dessert - but the molten wasn't quite molten enough. It stayed right inside the cake where it was put. Again disappointing - but nothing ruined our wonderful evening!
This week Vast Lunch menu did not disappoint! From the time I stepped of the elevator to sign in to the time I left was an amazing experience! The staff were very polite and our waiter Mitchell was very attentive. Nothing today was under-par. Very impressed.
Went there for my birthday lunch it was delicious. Our waiter was really nice and he offered me a a birthday dessert tray. I absolutely love the views in this restaurant. We'll definitely go back again.
I've been to Vast twice. The first time was during Covid, but I wasn't leaving many reviews back then. We went back yesterday. Five years later, my opinion stays the same: Vast is a nice restaurant where you won't regret eating, but it's not necessarily the kind of place I would go out of my way to eat at. The view is one of a kind, at least in OKC. Vast is located on the 49th floor of the Devon Tower, the tallest building in Oklahoma. We were lucky enough to have a table next to the window, offering a spectacular view of OKC. The service was great. Upon entering the building, a hostess greeted us, confirmed our reservation, and sent us to the elevators with instructions to head to the 49th floor. After we exited the elevator, another host seated us immediately. The waiter then promptly walked us through the menu and took our drink orders. I ordered their Seasonal Old Fashioned. Supposedly it had some black walnut and other flavoring, but it tasted virtually identical to any other Old Fashioned. My wife had the Angostura Sun Shower, a tequila/mezcal cocktail with amaretto, pineapple, and lime. Her drink was a little more creative, but still not particularly impressive. We had the whipped bone marrow with grilled sourdough as an appetizer. The flavor was there, but I will say that the sourdough was a little greasy. If the idea is to put bone marrow on it, the bread probably doesn't need any oil (or whatever it was) when it hits the grill. We then split the bouchon salad, which comes with vinaigrette, goat cheese, bacon, and candied walnut. This was a really delicious dish. The goat cheese was especially tasty. If you want a salad before your entree, I'd recommend the bouchon. For my entree, I had the crispy skin Scottish salmon. The salmon was great. I love when salmon has a real crispy skin, and Vast delivered. The salmon was perfectly cooked. However, the creamed spinach and corn was somewhat generic. Good, but not great. For dessert we had the crème brûlée. I've had crème brûlée at quite a few upscale restaurants, and I'd rank Vast's as solidly in the middle. It was crisped nicely, but the texture was just slightly off. Not fully curdled, but the execution took a step in that direction. Anyway, it was good enough that we still ate most of it. In sum, if you're in the mood for a visual, almost touristy-type experience, Vast fits the bill. And the food isn't bad either, nor is the service. But if you're more focused on the meal itself, there are better downtown options.
The ambiance at Vast is incredible and sleek. Amazing views anywhere you sit. We got the filet (add lobster tail and scallop) and it was delicious, especially the scallop! The chicken roulade was very tasty too, I loved the crispy skin. Our server, Luke, was so friendly, helpful, and gave the best service. We also got a complimentary chocolate cake as a dessert for a special occasion, which was a nice touch. Can't wait to be back!
Not just 5/5 but 10/10. This review has been sitting a while in my drafts - sorry about that! Last fall my now husband and I went for lunch while a close family member was on hospice and just a lot of chaos going on. Unbeknownst to me he did it to propose! Weeks early he had asked that family member for my hand in marriage. It was one of the most beautiful and sentimental things ever. The food was absolutely incredible - the lunch was amazing. Our server brought us a dessert platter that had congratulations on it and it was so sweet of them! Planning to schedule our anniversary dinner here. Thank you so much, Vast for being so amazing during such a critical time in my life!
It was a really nice dinner! Pretty interior with a view of the city. You get a complimentary app and dessert (very small tasters but yummy). The red pepper miso bisque was unique but good. The Caesar was pretty underwhelming and not really worth it, if recommend skipping. But the mains we got were very good- the duck, the lamb shank, and the pappardelle pasta were delicious! Our server was also super nice. Curious to try their lunch buffet. Overall a good experience! read more

There are meals, there are experiences, and then there are evenings at Vast that feel less like dinner and more like an awakening. Perched above Oklahoma City like a temple dedicated to excess and indulgence, Vast delivered a culinary performance so extraordinary that I briefly forgot every other steak I have ever eaten. The evening began with the Porn Star Martini, a dangerously seductive masterpiece that arrived shimmering with confidence. Bright, tropical, and impossibly smooth, it tasted like luxury had decided to become a cocktail. Then came the star of the evening: the 8 oz LINZ Heritage Angus Filet Mignon. To call it tender would be an insult. This steak surrendered to the knife with the resistance of warm butter and practically dissolved upon contact with my tongue. Rich, deeply flavorful, and executed with surgical precision, it was the kind of steak that makes you question every life choice that led you to eat lesser beef. The Vast potatoes were decadence incarnate, creamy, velvety, and unapologetically indulgent, while the asparagus provided the perfect green counterpoint to an otherwise gloriously excessive feast. As if the universe wasn't showing off enough, the meal was accompanied by a glass of Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon. Bold, velvety, and dripping with dark fruit and sophistication, it wrapped itself around every bite of filet like a velvet curtain closing on a Broadway finale. The view stretched endlessly across Oklahoma City, but by the second bite of steak, I honestly stopped looking. Vast had managed the impossible: it created something more captivating than the skyline itself. Five stars feels inadequate. This wasn't dinner. This was theater. This was poetry. This was a full-blown gastronomic fever dream from which I never wish to awaken. read more

We had a great anniversary dinner at Vast. Service was great and the food was delish! Was a little disappointed they took our plates and didn't ask if we wanted to take our leftovers bc we had quite a bit. Half of the surf and turf was left and almost the entire bread board... So if you want them better speak up! Otherwise great experience! The gluten free bread was delicious! Everything we had was wonderful read more
I rarely find a spot and give it 5 ! It's hard to have everything go right when you want to be impressed. It's my bday and I literally eat my way through Oklahoma. I accept all brunch, lunch and dinner dates! The Vast was easy to find just the parking situation downtown is a thing. I didn't see anyone out for the valet so there's that but I still saw fit to give them five stars. Why????? Well, it's the food of course and boy was it delicious I had salmon, chicken, steak, potatoes, glazed carrots, cream brûlée, mango cheesecake and yup salad. The wine was okay for $14 small pour but again the star of the show was the food, company I keep (loved ones and friends), the service and the view! The vibe was stellar! We were excited for a Friday lunch with a stunning view--and that was the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't live up to expectations. Despite having a confirmed reservation, the restaurant had no record of it when we arrived. We were eventually seated, but with no apology or explanation other than "there was a miscommunication". Because our group had nine people, they required us to book a private room. We were given a per-person total ahead of time, supposedly including tax, but when the bill came, the math didn't add up. Normally, the Friday lunch buffet is $27.50 per person, but we were charged $35 each, plus a hefty 24% service charge that covered gratuity, but not tax. We were also promised a personal chef, but ended up with a single server and a long, inconvenient walk--at least five minutes each way--to the buffet. As for the food, the steak was overcooked and full of gristle, and the salmon was dry. The desserts were genuinely excellent, but when you're paying close to $45 per person, great dessert isn't enough to justify the price. We wanted this to be a memorable outing for the right reasons, but sadly, it fell short on almost every count--except the view. read more

Great date place, one of the most iconic in the state with the view and service. The food is always great though notably on the pricier side. The lunch buffet is an unbelievable price for the quality of food. A must try. The chicken, fish, and lamb are always super super tender. Good cocktail and wine selections, and a small beer menu. Great ambiance and the waiters were very attentive and friendly. My friend had a food allergy and they were great at accommodating her allergy. The food was absolutely delicious. My surf and turf was cooked to perfection. My mouth is still watering thinking about the seafood. My filet was cooked perfectly to medium. I would definitely recommend this place. We had our reservations in a month advance and when we arrived we asked if we could be seated where there was a view of the sunset. The place was empty at the time and they said no. So I don't know how early you need to get a reservation in to get the table you want. read more

I live far away so I haven't been here in about 5-6 years till this weekend. From the table request, taste of the food, the great service of the host/waitress/bartender, and down to the cleanliness and style, everything is still top notch now just as it was years ago. They say that the best things in life come with a view Vast is no exception! This New American fine dining & cocktail restaurant is located on the 49th floor of the Devon Tower and provides crazy good skyline views. The food was just as good as the panoramic view and everything came out perfectly. You know how you receive complimentary bread? I told them I was gluten free and they baked a fresh batch and brought it out still warm from the oven. The service could have been improved. We got there at the beginning of dinner and it took 27 minutes for us to receive our drinks after placing the order. The entree took a while as well. Overall, I've definitely saved this spot as a must visit anytime I'm in Oklahoma City! read more
We did the Valentine's Day courses! This was a wonderful experience for my husband and I. The staff was very attentive with my food restrictions due to my pregnancy. Everything had great flavor and the chef really cares about your meal. It is a great place to spend Valentine's Day. It was soft and inviting in the restaurant and very intimate. Went for the brunch buffet, good variety but the real winner here is the view. Vast is located in one of the tallest buildings in OKC. For a relatively flat area it's a treat to have brunch on the 49th floor. Ambiance is perfect for a date. The food selection is decent with soups, salads, a carving station, a meat and cheese selection. Good variety with desserts, the Creme brûlée was amazing! read more

So, my family and I rode on the Bricktown Water Taxi, and the tour guide mentioned the famous restaurant, Vast, located in the Devon Tower. She had informed us about the amazing lunch buffet. On a Tuesday, we had to try it out! We booked reservations for Vast, lunch, at around 11:30. Vast is located atop the Devon tower, on the 49th floor. Devon Tower is the tallest building in the state of Oklahoma! There are some amazing, breathtaking views at Vast. We were sitting at a table that overlooked the entire Oklahoma City! It was stunning! Vast provides a panoramic view of the entire city. Depending on where you sit, you'll be able to view different areas of Oklahoma City! Our view was over Bricktown and the ball field. The restaurant's ambiance was elegant and charming. It really felt like we were immersed in a completely unique dining experience. The buffet was situated in a different section of the restaurant, isolated from the dining tables. There was a relatively long line for the food as there was a special holiday event being hosted, but it did move quickly! The buffet consisted of some of the following dishes: Cauliflower Apple Soup Quinoa Fruit Salad with Coconut Lime Dressing Salad Bar Hummus Fruit and Artisan Cheese Ham Chicken Breast Corned Hash Sweet Potato Assorted Mini Desserts Current costs: $25.50 per person $12.75 for children 12 and under Includes unlimited house-made desserts with a weekly new menu offering, available only Monday - Friday. This was my favorite dining experience while visiting Oklahoma City with the family. The service was outstanding! The team member who was assisting our table provided us with insights into activities and events to do while visiting Oklahoma City. He followed up with our table often, refilling our waters and sodas! The food was so flavorful and scrumptious! My favorites were the meats and desserts. The ham was packed with yummy flavors, and it wasn't too sweet. It was also juicy and not overcooked! The chicken was tender and was seasoned well with a salt/pepper rub. I don't typically eat corned beef hash, but that was good as well. It had a mixture of a slightly salty and sour taste to it. The desserts were out of this world! The crème brulee was the best dish of the evening. It had a well-balanced, sweet and tangy flavor. The caramel topping and slightly burnt sugar gave it a nice crunch! Vast also had this cranberry bar dessert, which surprised me! It had a graham cracker taste, and the cranberry spread wasn't overpowering either! All of their desserts were wonderful! I actually got engaged here in a private room, so vast holds a special place in my heart. We came here for our anniversary this year and it was so wonderful.
