    Old Fashion and Jam Session

It was our first time to visit Vast. Valet parking is available, and upon entering the Devon Tower, there is a hostess downstairs that will check you in and direct you to the elevators, which take you to the 39th floor. Betsy was our server and did a great job guiding us through the evening. My husband stated that his old fashion drink was one of the better one's that he has ever had. Small bread board was more than enough for the two of us. We split the salad that had a wonderful goat cheese with it. My chicken dish was okay, but disappointed that the mash potatoes weren't hot. My husband's steak was delicious and the scallop that he shared with me was my favorite. Thank you to Vast for the complimentary treat to finish off our meal. Of course, who doesn't go to Vast for the view of OKC, it was an amazing evening.

This week Vast Lunch menu did not disappoint! From the time I stepped of the elevator to sign in to the time I left was an amazing experience! The staff were very polite and our waiter Mitchell was very attentive. Nothing today was under-par. Very impressed.

I love how they have a changing menu I was able to enjoy the Cajun menu. The food was really good. They had a VAST amount of delicious dessert items (see what I did there). All in all the food was really flavorful and good. I'm not a big buffet guy, but this one was pretty good and I love everything about the Devon tower!!!! as always the service was really good and the vibe of the Devon building is always 10 out of 10 for me. Thanks for always providing a cool time.

If you're in OKC, this is a must see and experience during your stay. Yes, it's a buffet, but read on. It's not your normal buffet. Vast is classy dining all the way, with a view that is out of this world. And where terrain isn't exactly in surplus surrounding OKC, the views of the cityscape and surrounding parks, buildings, rivers and ponds are truly beautiful. I imagine at night it is a real treat. The restaurant itself is on the 49th floor of the tallest building in Bricktown. Inside, you'll find a very upscale, yet intimate (dare I say "romantic"?) setting. Floor to ceiling windows throughout, so no worries about being seated where there's no view. The staff are friendly and helpful (with a small caveat below). The food selection is narrow, but intentionally so. And I argue that's a good thing. While there aren't as many options as many other buffets, that means the food is fresher, and more closely monitored by the serving staff than your average buffet. Less chance of over-cooked, heat lamp scorched food; and far less chance of having been "handled" by other patrons. Still, the selection is good, everything was tasty, and you'll not go away hungry. Additionally they have an extensive wine and spirits list, with a bar and cocktails available. Gage, our bartender, was personable and helpful, and treated us like friends. Give that man a raise! PRO TIP: There's seating at the bar, first come first served. When we came in we were told (somewhat bluntly) that we couldn't be seated due to a high number of reservations. When I asked if bar seating was available, she said we could check if we liked. Management, this is what she should have led with. Just FYI. Altogether, Vast is one experience you should not leave OKC without.

Went there for my birthday lunch it was delicious. Our waiter was really nice and he offered me a a birthday dessert tray. I absolutely love the views in this restaurant. We'll definitely go back again.

We had a great anniversary dinner at Vast. Service was great and the food was delish! Was a little disappointed they took our plates and didn't ask if we wanted to take our leftovers bc we had quite a bit. Half of the surf and turf was left and almost the entire bread board... So if you want them better speak up! Otherwise great experience! The gluten free bread was delicious! Everything we had was wonderful

WOW - just WOW! What a beautiful location and view! (Especially since we watched a thunderstorm in the distance from the GREAT ALTITUDE at the TOP of the building!) I felt I should be wearing a gown as the Vast restaurant was that elegant! Service was tip-top - and I felt like a queen! Our server - Jarvin - couldn't have been more helpful and precise. He truly listened to our questions and made suggestions. He even hand-crafted my favorite cocktail when I told him about it - and gave me the recipe he actually created at the end of dinner. Our food was delicious - but I must say the menu was a tad deceiving. We had thought the butternut squash pepper steak would actually be meat - but it turns out the butternut squash - cooked to perfection and topped with a delicious peppercorn sauce - was the "steak!" As you'll see in the photos, our children made much better meal selections! Since our meal was so healthy, we shared a molten lava cake with ice cream for dessert - but the molten wasn't quite molten enough. It stayed right inside the cake where it was put. Again disappointing - but nothing ruined our wonderful evening!

Not just 5/5 but 10/10. This review has been sitting a while in my drafts - sorry about that! Last fall my now husband and I went for lunch while a close family member was on hospice and just a lot of chaos going on. Unbeknownst to me he did it to propose! Weeks early he had asked that family member for my hand in marriage. It was one of the most beautiful and sentimental things ever. The food was absolutely incredible - the lunch was amazing. Our server brought us a dessert platter that had congratulations on it and it was so sweet of them! Planning to schedule our anniversary dinner here. Thank you so much, Vast for being so amazing during such a critical time in my life!

I rarely find a spot and give it 5 ! It's hard to have everything go right when you want to be impressed. It's my bday and I literally eat my way through Oklahoma. I accept all brunch, lunch and dinner dates! The Vast was easy to find just the parking situation downtown is a thing. I didn't see anyone out for the valet so there's that but I still saw fit to give them five stars. Why????? Well, it's the food of course and boy was it delicious I had salmon, chicken, steak, potatoes, glazed carrots, cream brûlée, mango cheesecake and yup salad. The wine was okay for $14 small pour but again the star of the show was the food, company I keep (loved ones and friends), the service and the view! The vibe was stellar! I'll go back can't wait to see what's on the menu next month!

This time went to try the buffet was delicious I'd go back . There was a bug in my salad but I just didn't eat it and went to try other options of the buffet. It fruit fly season and didn't really bug me lol but nice little lunch day and for the price not bad. Must try

The service was exceptional. We told them it was our anniversary, and they went above and beyond. The food was delicious and included complimentary items from the chef. Just be sure to let them know ahead of time if you're celebrating a special occasion. The atmosphere was somewhat loud and bright.

We were excited for a Friday lunch with a stunning view--and that was the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't live up to expectations. Despite having a confirmed reservation, the restaurant had no record of it when we arrived. We were eventually seated, but with no apology or explanation other than "there was a miscommunication". Because our group had nine people, they required us to book a private room. We were given a per-person total ahead of time, supposedly including tax, but when the bill came, the math didn't add up. Normally, the Friday lunch buffet is $27.50 per person, but we were charged $35 each, plus a hefty 24% service charge that covered gratuity, but not tax. We were also promised a personal chef, but ended up with a single server and a long, inconvenient walk--at least five minutes each way--to the buffet. As for the food, the steak was overcooked and full of gristle, and the salmon was dry. The desserts were genuinely excellent, but when you're paying close to $45 per person, great dessert isn't enough to justify the price. We wanted this to be a memorable outing for the right reasons, but sadly, it fell short on almost every count--except the view.

    Best view area!!!

Best place in OKC to celebrate!!! Have a nice bar where you can wait for your late guests, the crew is so friendly and always is taking care of you. The food selection is fantastic and they have many choices.

I got out of my Uber, and I saw a couple walking into the main building. One would assume that everyone is there for art and passes by thinking nothing of it, but I knew there was a secret entrance waiting to be found. I tipped my Uber and walked in. The couple was gone, and all that was left were closed shops in a long wooden hallway. In the Hallway was a man in normal clothes. He said, "The lounge?" Yes, I replied, and he asked for my ID. I showed it to him, then he pointed to a black box on the wall with a moon sticker on it. I pushed it, and the wall opened like an Indiana Jones movie. First impressions are important, and I was impressed. The hidden entrance established the secrecy and exclusivity that I expected from a speakeasy. The Lunar Lounge featured a 1990s retro space theme. This included decorations and art. They had their business logo on the wall, a mural of a naked women sitting on a crescent moon with long red hair covering her private parts. There was a robot-shaped snack machine with a mini tube television for a head, static on the screen with angry black electrical tape making his eyes and mouth. The music was energetic without overpowering people's conversations. Calling ahead of time, I met with a bartender who explained to me that they had no intention of becoming a speakeasy; they wanted to create a safe place for their friends who were part of the LGBT community to express themselves out of sight of public view without fear of judgment or discrimination. Basically, meeting every requirement of a Modern Speakeasy. The owner did a good job creating a convivial atmosphere. People were friendly and socially warm in this relaxed environment. According to the Annuals of Tourism, "Convivial atmospheres are powerful in that they carry with them a transformative potential in terms of individuals' openness to and anticipation of future encounters, and their attendant feelings"(Rokka). The Hosts, therefore, created an Atmosphere catered to their intended Patrons. Even though the secret entrance and the atmosphere made this speakeasy impressive, the focus is on the drinks. Now, a bartender does not need to be a master at mixology, but for the sake of the evaluation, there are a few things people tend to look for in a drink. I personally evaluate a cocktail based on the balance of sweetness, acidity, bitterness, and aftertaste. According to the International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, "mixologists, with their aesthetic approach, contribute to transforming mixology into a form of cultural and creative expression" (Creta). I ordered a sophisticated drink from their menu, wondering what they might do differently. I ordered their Cosmopolitan, a signature cocktail. Instead of putting one shot or two shots, the bartender put a shot and a half. This made the alcohol blend in with the sweetness, not too sweet, so that someone would not drink it too fast. With the cranberry juice, he added a space candy garnish shaped like the moon, and as it dissolved, it started to dye the drink blue. After I finished the drink, I ordered it again from a different bartender, and she made it the same way. I saw consistency; all their signature cocktails looked cold, full of artistic expression, and used high-quality ingredients. Now, an argument I would consider valid concerning Speakeasies is: "A real Speakeasy is a traditional hidden room within a restaurant or cave with formal attire and with jazz music." And to a point, I would agree, but at that time, cave networks were maintained, and Restaurants were a family business where you could make a secret room without corporate overreach or whistleblowing. Those places were modern at the time. Today, Speakeasy simply means to go somewhere to drink away from the general public to speak easily. This could be two construction workers getting off work to go to an exclusive place where most union workers go to relax after work, to a private room where two politicians talk shop out of earshot of the public, or to a restaurant turning into a bar after business hours and bringing in a DJ, karaoke or actual theatre. All of these activities meet the constantly changing environment that would and could be seen in a speakeasy. Ultimately, the Lunar Lounge succeeds because it captures the cultural purpose of a speakeasy, with secret doors leading to a convivial atmosphere and well-made cocktails. Based on my data and experience at the Lunar Lounge, I would consider it a modern speakeasy. The 18th Amendment wasn't just about stopping the sales of alcohol. It was about stopping people from expressing themselves in America and spreading cultural influence. The Lunar Lounge met my basic evaluation of a speakeasy, not just the physical building, but also the Freedom of Expression that its customers enjoyed.

So much to say during my visit to the NCAA Tournament…read more.... First off, I apologize for not remembering names. That's not my strong suit. Humidor: It's small, but everything in stock is top shelf. Well stocked also. Staff is very helpful in finding what you're looking for and making recommendations. 10% off for military, vets, and first responders (cigars only). You can smoke on site, which is getting rare these days. Bar & staff: Nothing short of outstanding. Friendly, chatty (if you want that) and make the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. 3 different bartenders, 3 old fashioneds, all amazing. I told them they need to have a "mix off" for bragging rights. They're considering it. If Old Fashioned isn't for you, very wide selection of top shelf liquor, wine, and beer. Wanna play "Stump the Bartender"? I dare you. They'll know how to make it. Atmosphere: Lots of locals and a few visitors like me. Very welcoming. Told me a lot about the city and made me feel welcome. Definitely not a snooty "you're not from here," vibe. They welcomed me as one of their own. Not a sports bar, per se, but the games were on the one TV, which is fine with me. No kitchen on site. If you need food before your liquor, eat beforehand. Bottom line: My go to place in OKC.
