The Flea is one of my new favorite watering holes in OKC! What is it? The Flea is just a super friendly dive bar with saloon-style snacks and lots of options for entertainment. With its great big juke box, pub games, and ample patio, it's a perfect spot for kicking back with your posse. It reminds me of a little gay bar in San Francisco that I visited once. Maybe it was the guys in flannel shirts under the soft light of Tiffany lamps. Maybe it was the thumping music mixed with the alluring smell of weiners. Or was it the mention of Cornhole? I can't quite put my finger on it... Anyway, we stumbled in on a Thursday night and were treated like regulars. The bartender gave us the 411 on The Flea and served up a couple of icy-cold local beers from a selection that was ample and varied. That Francie is a keeper, for sure. We felt right at home here and wish we could have stayed longer. On that night, we uttered words of thanksgiving that there were only grown adults in the joint. No frat boys, blecch! One of my favorite dive bar experiences in OKC. Drink prices are reasonable, pours are strong, and there's enough space that usually you're not getting bumped into all night. As a woman, you gotta grade the bathrooms. I give theirs a C-. It's not so gross that you don't want to use it, but it could definitely use some sprucing up. We love to go and play games for a bit (they have a few available), or on a Wednesday for karaoke. Pro tip: check their social media before you go. Before last weekend, I had heard about The Flea but didn't actually know anything about it. We stopped in for my friend's birthday and it was a pleasant surprise! There are so many games to play... shuffleboard, pool, darts (I think), Connect Four, random board games and outside you can play corn in the hole. I actually really liked this bar when I first went, but during this pandemic they have not taken any precautions. Whoever bar tends at night was allowing people to come in no mask, the bartender even had hers off the entire time. There was only one bartender working and it was a Friday night. I always sit outside because Rona and I'm trying to support small business. As a nearly 30 year old with two full sleeve tattoos who got called a frat boy for my friend accidentally barely hitting two shuffle board pieces together, I will not be going back here. The manager adamantly walked up to me after I closing my tab after a single bar and shot and apologizing for "hurting my feelings" in as demeaning of a manner as possible. We just came here to have a chill time and were berated as children. As loyal patrons we will sadly not be coming back. If I wanted to feel that way, I would just down an entire bottle of Jack as my mother watches me with disdain, telling me I'm a disappointment every 15 seconds. Worst bar in OKC. It's frankly a joke, I asked for a old fashioned and the older man behind the bar looked at me with disgust and said we don't do that. Then I proceed to ask what they do make and he looked at me and said "beer" very rudely and "whiskey on ice. Or without ice. That's it." He was just angry because I interrupted his conversation with a person he was chatting with for a few minutes while I waited. Lastly I ordered a beer and he took his sweet time to get me that beer while he started chatting again. I don't recommend this place at all. Hey man, idk of you own that bar but if you do. Great bar, great atmosphere and great bartenders! The Flea has plenty of things to keep you entertained, from board games, a pool table, darts, a Touch Tunes jukebox, a Tornado Foosball table and of course, great drinks. Although this place is fairly new, they have managed to nail the old school dive bar look, feel and smell. The outdoor patio is nice and spacious which you will see as you have to walk through it to gain access to the actual bar. The Flea's bartenders were outstanding, especially Roy. If you want to talk music, then Roy is your guy. The two other bartenders were just as great to chat with. The clientele is a nice mixture of people, which in my opinion is what makes a dive bar successful...it caters to everyone. Check it out! read more

There's a difference between funny bar banter and treating patrons like they're idiots that do not know how to function in the real world. Also, DO NOT PLAY THE SHUFFLE BOARD GAME. I went on Friday night as I heard the patio was a lot of fun. It really was, I had a great time playing cornhole. Then I found out there was a Burlesque show and stand up comic. It was the most fun night I have had in a long time. The performers were amazing. I had no idea what to expect but I was shocked at how great they were. The little Irish comedian was hilarious. After a long week that was just what I needed. The drinks are strong, the service is great and the whole place was just busy with great energy. If you want a fun Friday, look no further. The bartender does not require you to wear a mask. Even the bartender (at night) was barely wearing one. It's a great dive bar but the protection of the patrons and worker(s) is not upheld at all. This is a "regulars" bar. If you're not one, good luck becoming one. Staff treats new people like they're an inconvenience to them hanging out with their friends. Calling it upscale, like some of the other reviews, is quite a leap. It's a dive bar, in its purest form. Kinda feel bad for the owner. The area needed a great dive bar and The Flea was a good concept, good location for the new development in the West Village. It could fit the niche...but not the way it's run and managed. If you can get a drink without being offended by the arrogant attitude of the bartenders...sneak back outside without catching unsolicited, ignorant comments by the regulars...you might be able to enjoy the patio area. Love the Flea! Very clean, no smoking. It's set up to be a "dive" bar but it's not. Drink selection is quality but not overwhelming, both beer and liquor. They have shuffle board, foosball,pool, and board games. The lights are always bright, no dark bar here. The crowd is always chill, seems to be pretty adult. I had been wanting to check this place out for awhile after seeing an article in the Gazette. It's definitely divey and just a bar. To me, it's everything we've been lacking in OKC. A bar that feels like a bar and nothing else. There is pool, shuffle board, darts and board games. No fancy cocktails or servers in uniforms. The biggest plus is that it's non smoking!!!! The second best thing is the jukebox. Tons of great music! This is place you can chill with your friends without having to get dressed up. The one negative, not that I can expect much more at a dive bar, the restrooms were dirty. But hey, it's a bar! read more
