Absolutely appalled by the treatment at Tramps Bar during Pride weekend. My friends and I were unfairly targeted and kicked out based on a false complaint from a group of older men. We approached an EMPTY pool table, not being used by anyone, and before we could even play, a grown man WHO WAS SITTING AT A TABLE came and put his hands on me and rudely claimed they were still playing. I quickly pulled away and told him "the pool table was by itself and no one was playing but okay" he than actually said something back trying to argue about the pool table I just walked off.. than, my friends and I go to the photo booth and after taking photos, security was already standing outside the booth waiting and immediately confronted us, physically grabbing us and escorting us out. The security guard even admitted WE WEREN'T BANNED, but were being REMOVED BECAUSE THOSE MEN COMPLAINED.. This establishment clearly prioritizes the comfort of rude patrons over the safety and respect of others, especially during PRIDE which is meant for CELEBRATION and INCLUSIVITY. The physical contact from both a customer and security was very weird and a serious concern. ESPECIALLY being with two fun size girls who aren't even 5'5... Best place to go for strong drinks at a good price. The bartenders are very friendly and the decor is nice as well. They have two pool tables and a dart board for playing games with your friends. They also have a great outdoor back patio area that allows for meeting new people and enjoying the weather during the non-Winter months. Seemed like the only bar in the gayborhood that was hoppin' on Easter Sunday. Clientele is very odd, to say the least. Prices are very expensive during non happy hour (6.00/cocktail). Tramps is like cheers, everybody knows your name. It's a true dive bar in every sense of the term. It's looks filthy - even when it's clean, it's dark, it's a bit dank, the drinks are so strong that you have to switch to beer after one or two, the bathrooms are a mess. But the people are great, the bartenders are better than your shrink at listening to your problems. After 10 minutes there isn't a stranger in the place. I've been to over 120 gay bars in my lifetime and Tramps was one of the unexpected gems. I was visiting from San Francisco to check Oklahoma off my 50 states bucket list and spent two nights drinking at Tramps. The first night was a Saturday and I met some fun characters. The second night was a Sunday I met a nice group of guys and watched a drag show with them. I really liked the drag performers because they actually dressed and did make up more like women, which I always thought was the point, right? In San Francisco the drag queens are lazy, have beards, and wear make up that makes them look like circus clowns, not women. I'm always like "oh, you're The Joker!" And they're like "No, I'm a drag queen." But I digress. The show and the men at Tramps were a lot of fun. In the extremely unlikely event that I ever make it back to Oklahoma City, I'd totally drink at Tramps again. read more

I have to give Tramps 4 stars for the simple fact that I don't think I've had a stronger drink at any OKC bar ever, ESPECIALLY for the price. I was in for quite a surprise after I took a long first drink of my gin and soda, realizing that there was obviously more gin than soda and that I had only paid $5 for a non-well drink. Wow. Other than the incredibly strong and reasonably priced drinks, Tramps is a solid three star joint. It's big and dark and there's a patio and pool tables. You best take a friend to the bathroom with you because they've removed all the stall doors to prevent drug use in the bathrooms. Although I kind of doubt the door removal does a lot of good as far as drugs are concerned. For some reason the bathroom at Tramps is like a place for people to have a party inside of the party for whatever reason so you might expect a small conglomeration of people when you enter. Come to Tramps ready to drink and still have money in your pockets when you leave at the end of the night. You will have literal money in your pockets because Tramps is a CASH-ONLY bar. You're also going to leave smelling like a HUGE ashtray, so be prepared for that as well. Tramps is one of those hidden gems in a city full of straight bars, Tramps around 39th street and Pennsylvania Ave is a wild Avant-garde hole in the wall gay bar on the "strip" in OKC. The drag shows on Sunday nights are the best thing to do on the strip on Sunday's and the drinks are cheap and strong and the bar is CASH ONLY I repeat, CASH ONLY!!!!!! There is a janky ATM machine in the corner that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't and it's has double charged me more than once.....so use at your own risk. The bartenders are aloof, as they should be they're serving 500 people a night sometimes so they don't want people hanging at the bar trying to chat them up.... there is a nice patio in the back, pool and darts?? if I am not mistaken and the gay community loves this place! Never walked out of this place sober. Drinks are atomic level strong, and the crowd is welcoming to all. Cash only bar, but there is an ATM available for when you find yourself short of cash. This is a small dive bar that presents exactly what you would expect. They only have two pools table but not much room for any more than that. The jukebox seems to be new and the dartboards are hi-tech (though we could only find one set of darts to share between us). The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were well priced. This bar is sort of a hit-and-miss bar. The drinks are great (nice and strong). One of the bartenders is really nice (his boyfriend is a barback). Another one is hot (beard) but gets harassed hit on a lot and it annoys him. But be CAREFUL in this place. There are a lot of hustlers and weirdos. I made the mistake of leaving my drink on the bar & went to the restroom, someone drank almost all of it. Also if you are over 40, you will be begged by people to buy you a drink! No joke!
