We came on opening weekend for this club on accident--we loved the music from the minute we walked in, loved our drinks (we thought they forgot to ring something up when they gave us the bill, that's' how good the prices were compared to other gay clubs in OKC), and after we met the owners, we instantly became regulars! They are Oklahoma natives that want a fun and SAFE space for people in OKC. (And also very kind humans that were more than a pleasure to meet.) We didn't know what to expect going into Vortex, but we left knowing we'd be back next week! HIGHLY recommend this up and coming spot, and will definitely be coming back!! read more

New Years Eve was the first time I had been. Extra nice bar tenders who know how to hand mix a cocktail. I lived the patio with heaters and a fire pit. Lots of outdoor seating. The dancers on the boxes were great however the dancers on the bar needed lighting on them. Would like to see advanced notice of activities on Facebook so I can plan to attend. I love going to Partners and enjoying the atmosphere. It's big enough that a nice crowd can come to the bar and be dispersed comfortably. I enjoy the pool tables and that's where I'll usually be found with friends. There typically isn't a lot of dancing happening and it seems to be full of groups of regulars who don't mingle. I always enjoy myself. I gave it 3 stars, because the last time I visited Partners, the bar staff was highly disappointing. They seemed very unprofessional. The drinks were fine, it was the service that was disappointing. I had to wait at the bar for at least 30-40 minutes on one occassion, with the bartenders making eye contact with me as my hand was waving to indicate I needed help...it seemed like they were giving service to their friends and people they knew before myself, but it was difficult to tell why they acted so unprofessionally. I did not address my concern, because I dislike confrontation. I also did not receive acknowledgement or apology for the poor service. read more

I'm from Oklahoma, and I lived in the OKC area for over 6 years, and I know that there aren't many options for gay women, but come on!! This bar is so shitty it's unreal. The staff is rude, the bouncers threw my friend out because she asked for her Jager to be colder (granted she was drunk, but I must say that she was not being obnoxious) I would avoid this place. Go to Alibis, it's a dive bar, but at least EVERYONE is friendly. read more

I absolutely love this bar! There is a very small selection of lesbian bars in OKC but I'm glad this is one of the options. The new manager is awesome and handles all complains, compliments, and opinions in a non-biased, professional way. The bartenders work their butts off and the DJ's are stupendous. It is spacious with a dance floor and pool tables and the patio outside is huge and perfect for summertime. read more

Partners and Partners Too is one of the friendliest bars in OKC. Partner Too is gay, lesbian, TG and straight friendly. Ladies and Gentlemen that is hard to find in OKC. Great music, awesome DJ I think she gets there around 8. And don't forget there great happy hour specials and dollar shot of the month. I really enjoy this Partners Too. There are two sides to this bar. One that is more pop and has pool tables where younger people usually go and the other side thats more country/older crowd. I'm in my twenties but I prefer the country/older side because there is less obnoxious people and better music. Its darker and feels more welcoming and intimate. The dj's in both are super nice. The drinks are a little weak when I order gin and pineapple I would like to be able to taste the alcohol in my drink otherwise I feel like I'm just drinking juice but this has only happened in the pop side. I have been to this club many times over many years span. I'm sad to say it just keeps going down hill. Its very brightly lit in the club so you can see just how old and dusty everything is. The back patio used to be so nice, but when the owners got in a fight and cut the club AND patio in half its gone to shambles. They used to have bands and bbqs. They have a huge outdoor bar that is not used anymore. They have since opened back up the patio into one big area, however, there are plenty of feral cats using the property as home, though, and they have signs telling you to leave them alone. I don't mind cats but this is the weirdest thing I've seen in a long time. The dj is Okay but they only play "double click" songs, they may or may not play your request, and they refuse rap 99% of the time. Now for the doozie! The bar staff, especially recently, is horrible. Absolutely...horrible. The one or two decent mannered bartenders I've encountered lately don't know any real drink recipes besides there unofficial drink, the liquid marijuana, and that has NEVER tasted the same twice, ever! They don't make eye contact or greet me. I mean I thought bartending was in the service industry but when you after in there, apparently not. There is one current male bartender, you can tell he is new to this but he hustles his ass off! There is one particular bartender whose been there for a while whose hygiene is terrible. I refuse for her to make any specialty drinks for me because her hands are extremely unkempt and dirty! More than one of my acquaintances have stories of her epic rudeness! Clapping at people in their face to get their attention to hurry up and order, being condescending when asked to let them know when their bar tab gets to a certain amount, throwing change and debit cards on the counter, skipping people to help friends etc... I have seen most of these things with my own eyes. Its just sad that people mostly go here because there are little to no options for one to be themselves and relax, not because its a badass bar. read more

I love this bar! Everyone is very outgoing and welcoming. It is very open. They have an awesome patio. This is one of my favorite bars!!!
