Today I went to 12pm CHURCH at the Boom in OKC! Service was prompt and getting there about 45 minutes before the show gave us great seats. We pre-purchased our tickets. The entertainment was hilarious~ you gotta have a sense of humor and be prepared to participate! The food was great. We had the breakfast burrito, great single portion size, but we split it and also got the French toast to split. The atmosphere was welcoming and just like any local dinner theater I've been to with the vibe of a club like atmosphere that it turns into! Highly suggest going to the Boom anytime. If you are a straight male and look mildly uncomfortable in that type of atmosphere, they are HIGHLY likely to make you a part of the show; being in the aforementioned category, I was incorporated into various parts of the show, it was embarrassing since I'm a bit of an introvert but I had an awesome time. My friend and I went to the live Rocky Horror Show at The Boom and had a good time. The show was great! The actors were really entertaining, and the interaction with the audience was fun! The service was friendly but slow (it was a packed house, so they were working really hard). The drinks were really weak for $12. The food was exceptionally bland. I made the mistake of getting the pasta - just doused in butter and flavorless. The chicken and meatloaf meals other guests got looked good. Absolutely entertaining! I have come her twinge in the past five years and I can say a Sunday spent well with much uncomfortable humor sprinkled with gay fairy dust. The space is small and they do fit a lot of people in but have perfected the art of crowdedness balance. We were serviced (no pun intended) quickly, efficiently and friendly. The food was definitely well thought out. My meal was delicious and satisfying. I am NOT a potatoes girl for breakfast YET whatever potato concoction they served was protons of the best I have ever had for breakfast. We started planning our night to see Golden Girls about a month ago and it was so worth the wait! The only downside to our evening was that they messed up our reservation for 9. Thankfully, we were early enough that we were able to remedy the situation. From there, it was pretty darn good! Our server was excellent. He was accommodating and friendly. The food was mostly good and would be great with just a few tweaks. The margaritas were tasty. The show was EXCELLENT! I laughed so many times and so hard! The actors, especially Dorothy, were fantastic! I look forward to checking out Gospel Brunch and other shows in the future. Every time I have been to The Boom, it has been a great time. From Gospel Brunch to The Rocky Horror Picture Show to just random visits, everything has been amazing. I cannot recommend the food at The Boom enough. I have never had something I didn't like. The bartenders, especially Jeff, are always welcoming, friendly, and amazing. The servers are amazing, fun, friendly and instantly become part of my friends group. Donnie, oh Donnie, how I love this man. Absolutely the worst service ever encountered. Walked in and told point blank no seats. Then, the person behind was told, you can order at the bar & stand for performance if you want. Seemed a bit discriminating. Only 40 vehicles allowed to park. Parking is better for compact cars. We drove from Houston, TX to spend anniversary in Oklahoma City. 99% of the trip was awesome! 1% = crap = boom. Skip this place and watch a movie because they do not discriminate. The English muffins were a bit chewy. The hollandaise was perfect. Absolutely perfect. The asparagus was cooked wonderfully. The hash browns were yummy but only warm. The grated cheese did not melt. It was a pretty pile of hash browns. My friend ordered quiche and I tried it and it was to die for. It was chock full of meat and cheese and not just meta-eggs. Kaden was an excellent and attentive server. He was very friendly. The poinsettia's had a good taste but had NO bubbles. There should have been a few. Wait! I got up close and personal and saw three! I had a good time with my friends at the show. The food was good, but I don't understand why entertainers & businesses can't stay away from politics & abortions issues. Business 101 "don't talk or discuss religion or politics." When you do you will turn off customers that don't agree. Keep your personal opinions to yourself actors . Not everyone will agree or needs to. No need to offend people when you are taking their money. Repeat customers is where you truly make your money. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! One of the best drag shows I've been to! & I've been to several. My friend and I really enjoyed the improv comedy! We were not expecting that and it was a great surprise! Not to mention, hilarious!!! The place isn't very big, but accommodates a good amount of people! Good for small or large parties, I would say. My companion and I really enjoyed sitting at the bar top that sections off the back booths from the front section of the lounge. The service was very good, prompt and friendly. The food was very good also! Sometimes "show" type places tend to slack on the food, but not here! I got the salmon bagel sandwich and it was delicious! Hard to beat The Boom for Sunday brunch! Nothing like a meeting with two lovely drag queens who can pick on almost anyone in the audience. Play your cards right and they'll even pull you up on stage! We've gone many times, particularly for birthdays and with out of town friends. The menu is pretty standard brunch food, but it is well executed. Pro tip: The second brunch show usually gets a little rowdier, once they've had a little to drink in the first show! Also, check their website and Facebook - they're constantly putting on shows which are a blast. We did Rocky Horror picture show last year - my first time there - and it was SO much fun! I went with three RHPS "virgins" to the Oct 6 showing and we had such a great time! The service was great and the food was surprisingly REALLY good! We ordered the meatloaf plate and 2 orders of chicken nachos. I eyed other guests plates and it all looked really good! They have burgers, chicken, salads, tenders. Plenty of options and HUGE portions. The show was so much fun! It appeared to be sold out - there wasn't an empty seat from what I could tell. The audience wes great and a lot of people came with props (including us) so that made the audience participation element even better. The cocktails cost about $10 but they are STRONG so you get what you pay for. We will be back for their Sunday Brunch. My first time attending here last night was for an interactive Rocky Horror Picture Show. I had SO MUCH FUN! Everybody there was really nice and the performance was awesome. I would definitely be back for a future event. My only issue was with seating and space. Having a purse is a bad idea because you'll have no where to put it and since the tables and chairs are so close together, the waiters all had to squeeze between the rows in order to do anything. read more

Went to see the RHPS last night and had a great time. The entire casts were incredible and so fun. I usually don't go out on Halloween, so this was a memorable night. There was a dinner portion with the show and I had the meatloaf entrée. Unfortunately, it wasn't delicious, more like cafeteria style meatloaf. I mean the meatloaf was moist, but there was just too much tomato. The mashed potatoes were decent, but the vegetables had too much black pepper. If I attend next year, I probably get the sandwich and fries that the person in the next table got since it looks so delicious. One of the things that I noticed as I was sitting down was that there was a pungent smell, which we never figured out what it was. The drinks here are a bit steep compare to others and it wasn't impressive. I got the Hurricane and it was water down so I had to get a different drink. I ordered the salmon bagel this morning and I was not disappointed. The taste was perfection. They do add $3 to each person's tab for the drag queens, but it's well worth it. When one of my friends told me I should check out the Sunday Gospel Brunch at The Boom, I was a little skeptical. But I am so glad I went, and I definitely plan on going again. The food was amazing. And I'm pretty picky when it comes to breakfast foods. The omelet was huge, they mixed the meat lovers and the veggie omelets so I got the best of both worlds (at no extra charge). And the potatoes gratis was oh so yummy. I was a little disappointed that there weren't $2 mimosas like I saw one review had said, but $4 isn't so bad for their delicious and well blended mimosas. I remember seeing another review saying the performers needed to stop talking so much and to preform more... what? Their talking was a part of their show, and it was absolutely hilarious! I was laughing just about the entire time. Norma and Kitty worked with their audience to create an entirely unique experience. And it didn't feel too rehearsed. Not only were the performers awesome, the staff was quick and friendly! Participants and birthday guests in the show get a shot or small drink I absolutely adored the set-up in the non-smoking room. With a bar, a stage, and plenty of seating, I didn't feel too close to my neighbor at all and not like I was in BFE either. Based on my experience at the Gospel Brunch, I can only assume that every other night would be just as superb. Considered a gay bar, but I feel that it should be considered a lgbts bar. In a time of negative crap on tv and around us you need a pick me up. I highly recommend The Boom OKC. We went to see the most recent play called Scrooge in Rouge on 1 Dec. Wow 3 people (Plus a piano player) tell an amazing funny story. I know I laughed so hard that I missed some of the jokes. It was well done with great humor. As for the food it was anything but bah humbug. We started off with some appetizers. My group of 4 fell in love with the Mac and cheese bites (Gouda cheese). We highly recommend it!! Then 1 got the chicken tenders. She liked it but they were a little heavy on the fried (hard on the acid reflux). 3 of us had the pork loin and let me put it this way...my mom doesn't eat much but she was just shy of licking the plate! Yes it was that good. And don't forget the favorable spot-on old fashion drink. Our experience was just amazing. Made by talented actors, responsive servers, and amazing chef. The Boom is such a fun place to see a show, and they always have something going on. From their weekly Sunday gospel brunch to their special productions, you can find something you'll enjoy. The food is pretty good too! I was impressed with their brunch selection, but I haven't had any other meal here yet. They open the kitchen an hour and a half before the nighttime shows start if you want to come for dinner before. I recommend getting there early to get a good seat, especially if you have a big group. The space fills up quickly for the popular shows. Some shows you need tickets for and not others, so be sure to check and plan accordingly. I love that The Boom has created this amazing community and is always finding ways to give back.
