The appetizer we order based on the waiter suggestion was a sloppy culinary mess, not one person in this group of 6 could eat it. With much delay again, we placed our orders, the salad I order came incorrectly, I orders and spinach salad and received a caesar salad; they forgot the salad my friend ordered until after the main course came and she had to remind the waiter who had not placed that order at all. My husband had to wait 20 minutes for an ice tea refill, my friend was not able to place order for a 2nd beer for about the same time because the waiter would just not come back to check on our table. The caesar salad I ended up eating did taste good, the pizza was decent. The waiter did take the dips off our checks because we sent it back, so I appreciated his responsibility with this. It was a very disappointing experience, 2 of our friends drove from Norman to meet us here and we are not able to see each other often. The ambiance was also very loud and hard to have a conversation without speaking very loud. I do not recommend and will not go back to this restaurant.

I noticed a lady sitting on the patio last time eating some beautiful fried chicken and I decided to inquire....."Hello, ma'am. Do you mind if I ask how the chicekn tastes?" She enthusiastically replied that she loves the chicken at Pub W and that is her go to for fried chicken. What an awesome recommendation. Incredibly flavorful, crispy and came with the perfect mashed potatoes and fresh green beans with roasted bell pepper. The service here is over the top friendly, conversational and a delight! We had the squashpuppies again and they were as awesome as last time. The waitress indicated that ceviche was the special that day and I regret not trying it. Next time!

Tuesday and Thursday (if I understood correctly) the special is a Ruben Sandwich (I love Ruben's). So I ordered the Ruben and since I was debating between that and the fish and chips the hubby got fish and chips (Thats love right there ya'll!!!!) I am SUPER picky about fish and chips batter and I will say I could have been very happy eating the offering. Great batter, light and crispy. A little greasy but I like and expect that :) the fries are of the coated variety, but they came very crisp and hot and were good! I would have the fish and chips again in a heart beat. The Ruben was solid, I am unusual to many in that I don't like a lot of smoke in my meat. It was a little too smokey for me, but I know for some that will be a selling point. The meat was super flavorful and sooooooo tender! It was fantastic in spite of all the smoke lol. The rye is a milder lighter rye, so factor that into your palate as well. The appeared to have done a great job draining the kraut too because my sandwich did not become soggy like many a Ruben before! Solid choice, give it a try. There are a majillion-bjillion-and-one TV's in this place. For a Pub that makes sense, and in Oklahoma it's tough to find any restaurant without t.v.'s it seems.. But if you are looking for that atmosphere they have you covered (it's a draw back for me but so common I don't knock anyone down for it really, especially here where it's expected). The restaurant was super clean and nice, music wasn't so loud you couldn't hear your table partner speak and all that so that was good. Our server was also super nice and kept us updated on our orders pending arrival (which was timely). When seated you are immediately given a cold jug of water by the hostess which is a really nice touch in this 100+degree weather! And if you are a Stonecloud Neon Sunshine beer lover like my hubby... it's on TAP! (the only way to drink it). Pub W seems to be a solid choice and I would absolutely put it in our restaurant rotation for now. We don't really have the budget to go out all the time, so, putting it on the list of solids is a big deal in this family. They had a large beverage menu if you up for imbibing. One day I will go back and try something as quite a few options sounded intriguing. (but I rarely imbibe). Enjoy :)

The location, staff, and set up of the bar was very accommodating and the chill atmosphere we were looking for. The only downfall was they did not serve any food however, after visiting several times we found there were various potluck and location specific events that supported bridging that gap. You could tell this establishment had a neighborly local atmosphere where the atmosphere of the NFL fever became a weekly moment to look forward to. The staff started knowing our drinks and our routine ends each weekend, which made us feel like we were part of the regulars. Thank you MAJORS. Welcoming to newcomers!

While it wasn't bad, it felt more like upscale fish sticks and fries than authentic fish and chips. There wasn't any malt vivinegar option to go with the meal, which is something I expect from a traditional fish and chips dish. Overall, it was decent, but not something I'd order again. On my second visit, I tried the beef stroganoff, and it was excellent. It was a delicious take on a classic comfort food, with great flavor and a homemade feel. I would absolutely order it again. Service was fairly slow on both visits, and my drink sat empty for much of each meal. That said, during my second visit, once our server got caught up with her other tables, she became much more attentive and made sure everything else was taken care of. Overall, the food can be hit or miss depending on what you order, but the beef stroganoff alone is worth trying. If the service became more consistent, I'd have a much easier time recommending this place.

After 40 minutes I finally asked my server to physically go check on it. She disappeared into the kitchen for 10 minutes, then came back with the manager. What's not fine is that the manager's solution was to ask me to pay the difference because the salad cost more. I'd been sitting there for an hour. I said no thanks, cancel the order. On my way out I overheard the manager tell the bartender "don't worry about it" -- apparently already moving on while I was still standing there with no food and no apology.
