She enthusiastically replied that she loves the chicken at Pub W and that is her go to for fried chicken. What an awesome recommendation. Met my hubby for lunch on a work day and I decided to give Pub W a try. He had been several times with office mates, but this was my first foray (I tend to be a little pickier). Tuesday and Thursday (if I understood correctly) the special is a Ruben Sandwich (I love Ruben's). So I ordered the Ruben and since I was debating between that and the fish and chips the hubby got fish and chips (Thats love right there ya'll!!!!) I am SUPER picky about fish and chips batter and I will say I could have been very happy eating the offering. Great batter, light and crispy. A little greasy but I like and expect that :) the fries are of the coated variety, but they came very crisp and hot and were good! I would have the fish and chips again in a heart beat. The Ruben was solid, I am unusual to many in that I don't like a lot of smoke in my meat. It was a little too smokey for me, but I know for some that will be a selling point. The meat was super flavorful and sooooooo tender! It was fantastic in spite of all the smoke lol. The rye is a milder lighter rye, so factor that into your palate as well. The appeared to have done a great job draining the kraut too because my sandwich did not become soggy like many a Ruben before! Solid choice, give it a try. There are a majillion-bjillion-and-one TV's in this place. For a Pub that makes sense, and in Oklahoma it's tough to find any restaurant without t.v.'s it seems.. But if you are looking for that atmosphere they have you covered (it's a draw back for me but so common I don't knock anyone down for it really, especially here where it's expected). The restaurant was super clean and nice, music wasn't so loud you couldn't hear your table partner speak and all that so that was good. Our server was also super nice and kept us updated on our orders pending arrival (which was timely). When seated you are immediately given a cold jug of water by the hostess which is a really nice touch in this 100+degree weather! And if you are a Stonecloud Neon Sunshine beer lover like my hubby... it's on TAP! (the only way to drink it). Pub W seems to be a solid choice and I would absolutely put it in our restaurant rotation for now. We don't really have the budget to go out all the time, so, putting it on the list of solids is a big deal in this family. They had a large beverage menu if you up for imbibing. We'd heard great things about the chicken, but didn't really feel like sitting in a restaurant, so I ordered it as takeout. We ended up getting 3 of the chicken meals, 3 sides of fruit, 2 sides of mashed potatoes and gravy and side of squashpuppies. I arrived for the curbside about 10 minutes early but before I could even check in, someone came out to acknowledge my presence and to let me know she'd be watching for the order to be ready. I know sometimes when you order chicken it takes a bit, so I was not worried about waiting. By the time my order was running maybe 5-10 minutes overdue, another employee came out to assure me they were working on the order. Again, no worries, it was kind of getting to be the busier time of evening, it was lovely out, I had no problem sitting and waiting. About 15 minutes after my "order time" the food came out and I headed home. Since the orders were each for 1/2 chicken, you get 4 big pieces of chicken, plus a nice side of pineapple and the mashed potatoes were decent size, maybe not enough gravy. I'll be honest I didn't pay much attention to the squashpuppies as they weren't mine and I don't like squash. I did take a teeny nibble from one and instantly said "nope" but really not fair for me to judge. The mashed potatoes ended up being very rich and overseasoned. I'm not sure if it was the gravy or the potatoes or both. I know they were going for decadent, but it clashed with the chicken which also had a lot of seasoning. We both didn't finish our potatoes and didn't bother saving them. The squashpuppies also were not a hit with the person ordering them. The chicken seemed a bit overcooked (the breading), but inside was nice and juicy. I saved the breast for later and it definitely seemed the most overcooked of the 4 pieces, but also I had reheated it a bit as a leftover, so probably unfair to judge. The food was good and for $20 each meal, it actually was not a bad price. The attention from the staff was nice as it's not uncommon for curbside pickup to be less easy these days, but it worked out and I appreciate them for that. I'd be curious to try something different next visit (I don't live in the area), but also liked the chicken enough I wouldn't mind having it again either. read more

My boo took me here as she frequents it a lot and this place was truly a 10/10 for me. Which is rare for me. For starters, the place was really clean and the ambiance was just perfect. Our waitress was so adorable and I loved her energy. She gave me great recommendations from the menu as well. I ordered a margarita and it was so delicious, then per the waitress suggestion, I ordered the meatloaf. The meatloaf was soooooo good! It was turkey meatloaf with a chipotle bbq glaze. It was so juicy and flavorful like truly surprised me fr. Then it was served with cheesy grits and green beans. The green beans were fresh and literally seasoned to perfection. The grits were also delicious and creamy and accompanied the meatloaf well, even though this is a combination I would have never thought to make myself. I have only been to a Pub W three times in my life. Both locations I visited (Tulsa and Edmond) were clean, modern, and busy. It's a sports bar that serves more than wings or burgers. We prefer local restaurants, but this is a decent chain. The staff are very friendly and know their menu well. I ate the fried chicken in both Tulsa and Edmond. The chicken was greasy at both locations. I know it's fried chicken, but this was more than most. Flavor at both locations was also good, but the chicken was tough and rubbery at the Edmond location. The green beans were very good but the brussels sprouts had too much honey for my taste buds. The hot sauce helped. We will continue our search for really good fried chicken. read more

This place is fantastic great food great service and a great place to catch the game. Have been a few times and it always hits.

My wife is Gluten free and she is very particular about where we go out in order to make sure that she doesn't accidentally contaminate her biome. The last time we went it was hard to navigate the menu but our waitress a the manager went WAY out of their way to accommodate my wife's needs. Flash forward two months and we eat here again. We went to Pub W for the first time tonight for my wife's birthday dinner. As soon as we walked in the hostess greeted us and took us to our table. We ordered a beer and a glass of cab. Our appetizer was the pigs in the blankets with Rough Tail beer cheese. It wasn't fancy. But, paired with the beer cheese, these pastry-wrapped little smokies hit different. Loved it! We both got the fisherman's platter. BOMB! They even gave my wife a free dessert to go for her birthday. I don't normally make a big deal over french fries. The young man that waited on us was very nice very knowledgeable of everything that was on the menu, but I still couldn't decide my husband had the fish and chips. I had the meatloaf, cheese, grits, and green beans with peppers. The fish was crispy tasty the fries were good. The hush puppies were brown, but they weren't done inside. I try home things and restaurants to see the variety of different foods across the United States. I had the meatloaf. It was nothing special. It was edible. It was good, but not to my tasting Fresh green beans was charred with pepper, red peppers and it was good, the cheese grits was not Southern. I would not get the grits again. I love this place! It's huge and very clean! I had Blackberry Sage Lemonade and Iced Tea for Chris. The lemonade is very good! I had it once when we ate at their OKC branch and fell in love with it. While waiting for our food, the bartender, holding my favorite lemonade, came by our area asking which guest ordered another one. The lady next to our table shook her head (she was drinking one as well). I told him I didn't so he said, "Oh, so this is mine!" I replied, "I'll take it if nobody wants it". He handed it to me! The Spicy Shrimp Tacos were excellent! They don't serve rice during lunch but I was more than happy to sub that with sweet potato fries! Chris was very pleased with his Huevos Rancheros. We came in last night with a decently large group (7) after a program. We were surprised to see how busy it was on a Thursday night and even still we were seated within about 20ish minutes. Our server Delsa was absolutely amazing. She was so attentive the entire time, and when one part of our order was made incorrectly before she even brought it out she made sure to correct it. And the food was all incredible- as always. She was on top of everything. While it was busy she made it a priority to stop and chat a little with her tables- going the extra mile for hospitality.
