Yes it is smoke free. So please come and enjoy. It is a dive bar that is as safe as it is fun. All sorts come here for the same vibe. The jukebox is great and plays every type of music (you can juxtapose rap to slow country and no heads will turn). They show UFC fight and all the big games. This is the sort of place you would hope to find when you visit others towns- and we are lucky enough to have it right here. Staff is friendly and very good at what they do. The crowd is the same (some people just know how to drink and have a good time, right?). I only wish I made it here more often. read more

The service today was the absolute worst!!! The waitress was very rude and acted as if she did not want to even serve me! She was on the phone the entire time she took my order. She questioned my choice of drink, stating, I've never heard of anyone wanting a shot of gin!". After several minutes of waiting for her to bring my drink, I asked about it and she told me she had already brought it...twice. I informed her it was at the end of the bar then she finally brought it to me with a mumbled apology. There were only about 8 people in there at the time of this incident. I have been going to this place for about 7 years and have NEVER had this kind of service!!! read more

These guys play their music way too loud I am trying to sleep and can hear their music 3 houses down and through a brick wall and earplugs and I've now had to file multiple complaints with the police department. Also it's trashy with lots of drunk screaming people. Not cute at all I would recommend one of the cooler bars like Cock of the Walk or other dive bars closer to downtown. This place is just a nuisance. Don't go here. read more

If there was a way to put negative stars I would. Unfortunately I have been a huge fan and enjoyed spending my time with friends that I could decompress with after a long day with at this establishment. The downfall is the brother of the owner named Pat. He is inappropriately aggressive when it comes to vaping in the bar. Given the right there is no vaping as a rule but any female or male who is within the line of sight has to deal with the repercussions of an over aggressive male yelling speaking down to someone turning away patrons who have spent long evenings and hard earned money time and time again at this establishment. It is a shame that I was considered banned and in future trespassing because of vaping. I am beyond disappointed and hope my faith in humanity can be restored somehow. read more

Sipango Lounge - Punching machine - Lounges Near Me - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

I walked in and the security guard greeted me with disgust, he scanned my Identification and that has never happened to me before. The bartender served me immediately, but was extremely rude and unprofessional. I wish to never go back to this place again. read more

Unauthorized Charge city!!! This will be the second time now the bartenders have double my tab. After I have signed and left my 20% tip. Of course it's ran my slimes bags so there not willing to help. read more

Best bar in the city. You wanna get trashed with your dawgs, this is the spot. If you don't like it, you probably don't get it.

Sometimes, yo just need a bar. You need a booth, a neon glow, a weird mix of people. Sometimes you need to visit with a dear friend, and have hard conversations, and it's helpful to have it be loud and boisterous all around you so you can unload your concerns and worries and not fear you'll be overheard. Sometimes you just need a Stella, a vodka soda, and a place to sit. We were able to find all of these, late on Friday night, and almost closed the place down. I'm so thankful you can't smoke in here anymore, since I can't go to smoky bars in my advanced age. It might be nicer if you didn't have to worry about being hit by darts while you waited in line. I'm just sayin'.... read more

Mike the owner is awesome! Great neighborhood lounge with a long history of great friends and great service! A must stop and stay!!! read more

I went here many moons ago when you could smoke.... if you still could, my vote would be 2 stars. Hallelujah, you can't smoke here anymore! If you're wanting a relaxed atmosphere with an I just don't care about anything attitude then this is your place. They do have minimum charges on your card of $10 I believe which the prices here could easily get you 2 drinks. This is the vocabulary definition of a dive bar right here. read more

If you are looking for a BAR Sipango is definitely that... You know the kind of night when you just want to hunch over a bar? I don't mean go to a bar to have a good time but go somewhere and truly HUNCH OVER stare at a booze soaked, polyurethane covered wooden surface inches in front of your face and not be bothered? Possibly hear some good tunes on a the juke box that take you back to a different time in your life that you remember with melancholy? Strangely enough I had a variation on one of those nights last night. Not on purpose as I have done in the past but sort of randomly and I was glad Sipango was there. Yes, it was smoky and my eyes will burn in the morning. I will wake up and smell my clothes from last night on the floor, but clothes will wash and eyes will clear and there will be a little spot on the NW corner of 42nd and Western I know that I can go and enjoy a good hunch. The type of nights described above are best enjoyed on weekdays as most bars, Sipango included, can get a little rowdy on weekends. It should also be noted that Sipango has a ping pong table which they actually use to play ping pong on. I can't speak for if it has ever been used for other games but I surely hope not. read more

Sipango Lounge - This place is a bar...a smokey bar.. - Lounges Near Me - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Positively the worst bar I have been in, in a while. Working in the service industry for almost 30 years in every position, I have not experienced bartenders like these in a very long time. It was my first time in and they completely pissed me off. They really messed up because I am VERY forgiving and a very good tipper. 1st drink...she made the wrong drink. Normally I would have just dealt with it but I ordered diet because sugar is really a problem right now so I just couldn't. Ok fine, not a big deal. My friend handed her my card. My 2nd drink, I went up alone. I was dressed up for a sports bar and not looking like your average patron. Well...I was charged 3.00 more for the same drink. A crap drink. It was 6.00 for the first one which was way to much for this not so great old bar. We are talking a very small whisky diet in those small plastic cups. When she decided to charge me 9.00 on the second one, I was livid. I tipped 4.00 on the first f up. I did nothing wrong but look out of place. I had met the owner so I eventually approached him. I told him what had happened and how unimpressed I was with his bartenders after advising him of my experience. He offered to buy me a drink. I explained it wasn't about money but his bartenders and how that is a huge no no but he still insisted. Well guys, I never got another drink, he never talked to them, and so I take from him that this is there norm and they are ripping people off. The owner spoke of being positive and a good man as he flirted with me and fed me full of crap. Unimpressed. I will not ever be back and I will make sure this is known. Worst experience for real. Just an all around off vibe too. read more

Cool kids need not apply. If you want killer house beats so you can dance, don't come here. Keep your "faux-hawks" and Ed Hardy gear downtown, and out of this bar. Wait, nevermind, please come so my friends and I can have someone to make fun of. If you want to drink with normal people and listen to a good jukebox (no house, please), this is your bar. read more

This has been my favorite watering hole for the last 8 years! It is great to have a non-smoking dive bar in the heart of OKC. They have pool, darts, punching machine, and juke box. Happy hour beers from 12-7pm everyday of the week. Just overall a great neighborhood bar. read more

It's a decent place to get away for a minute. $10 min on card charges is really a bummer. Staff is usually cool enough.

I'm so done with this place. Every time I decide to give it a shot, I wish I would have just veered my car into a telephone pole on the drive up to the Sip. It's loud...actually, it's obnoxiously loud. I usually like the weird crowds at some of the smaller bars I go to, but this crowd is the wrong kind of weird. The people are either the type that should be seen at a Henry Hudson's, or those rowdy college guys that chest bump and say "brah" after every statement. Also, a bottle...ONE DAMN BOTTLE...of PBR is $4.50. I'm sorry, but I can go a mile down the road to The Drunken Fry and get a PBR and a shot for $5. I can't speak for the bartenders as I was never really able to see them because of how packed the Sip was. Unless my lady is just dying to go here, I will never go to this place again. read more

I have always had a great time visiting this place. Only once had I ever noticed a rude bartender;any other time everyone is kind, super attractive and upbeat when I have been. It is a great place to sit and have some drinks because the prices are not bad. read more

What do you want? They smoke. Check They drink. Check They come in waves, all night long. Snooki and the gang would not look out of place in this here bar. Hanging around the punching bag. Wedding night is a good time, they come over from across the street to smoke and drink and they dress better than the average American. Other wise it is a mostly conflict free happy zone. Cheers. read more

Good dive bar with ping pong, darts, and pool. Juke box available, but we had trouble with it last visit. The ladies behind the bar are quick, attentive, and courteous--and gorgeous..all of them! The guys that support the ladies are friendly and care about the bar. D-bags happen, but all n all this bar is our go-to. Lots of TVs for sports events. read more

What an amazing place! So much history and so much FUN!! I love the recent upgrades including the new patio and the fresh, clean air inside (new no smoking policy). This is a MUST GO for a fun night out with friends. read more

This place has the worst bar staff in the city. The chik with the bright hair and big boobs...don't think you'll get a drink from her unless you're a dude. Their security is a joke. I was being harassed by a super drunk dude who ended up getting physical with me and they didn't even bother to kick him out. Their beer selection is awful and they wildly overcharge for their "drinks" (97% ice 2%mix 1% alcohol). I will never go back here again. Also they apparently opted out of the western avenue improvements so they still look like a total $&*#hole compared to everything else in the neighborhood. I wish it would close already not to mention the drunks that walk in the street coming from there are always fun. read more

The bar seems like it could be fun it has a ping pong and pool table, however it also has a punching meter which only seems to add fuel to the macho clientele that's goes there. The bartenders are very slow and often times rude on top of that. I have yet to go here and not see a fight break out. read more

Sipango's is what it is. It's a rowdy sports bar when there's a game on and it's a happenin' party spot when there's not. It's packed to the brim usually on Friday & Saturday evenings with a fun crowd usually. The jukebox is quality as well. Need more beer though. read more

sipango has now crossed generations.... but not much has changed except people's outfits. and here, that might not even be the case. the time to go to sipango is late. like after 10 or 11 at least, and on the weekend. otherwise, it is very hit or miss. go early on any day it is just a drunk bar. having said that. i fucking love sipango, and will visit this weekend when i'm in town. he always has some hot chic with nothing on serving me pacificos. i'm a simple man. read more

The two stars sums it up I suppose. It is very meh and I have certainly experienced better, even for dive bars. I somehow end up here with friends every now and then but considering I've found out how much Patrick dislikes it, I probably won't be returning. I thought it was okay before, but after realizing that a bottle of PBR is $4, I was astonished, pissed off even. PBR is usually the cheapest beer you can buy anywhere, and I prefer it to Coors Light or Bud Light, which both were cheaper and made me question their pricing. That really just rubbed me the wrong way. There are several bars in the area that are better quality and price! read more

I give it 5 stars for the bartenders. The dude in the fruity shirt tried to make us leave the parking lot. It is on city property. It isn't even his property. I will try to show wher3 we were parked. He told the black dude to bring a weapon out. I am from Arizona, so I have open carry rights. He could have been shot. Be careful guys. They are violent after 2:00pm. Done deal. read more

Best bar ever! Love the ladies who bartend there, duh! Go in and enjoy, it's now smoke free &&& HAS A PATiO!!!

Great bar with great bar staff and drinks and the fact that the bar is non-smoking is a total bonus. The new patio with outdoor speakers provides a totally relaxing and fun atmosphere to come out and hang with your friends!! A totally cool spot on OKC's historic Western Avenue!! read more

So I think Sipango gets a bad rap sometimes. Let's state the bad: the crowds are very mixed and it can sometimes get loud and rowdy. They could use more bar staff. The good: everyone has always been nice and welcoming to me and my friends. The drinks are always good when you can get them. The jukebox is one of those touch tunes and they have about any song you are looking for to play. There is a pool and darts and they have big tables that are always nice for groups. I've enjoyed my time or two being at this establishment and would recommend people to stop by if they are perusing the western strip. read more

This is really a bar you go with a group of friends not alone or you might be lonely. For woman it's not the greatest since it's typically filled with men. They have pool, darts, ping pong and fun ;) it is quite smokey and a little grungy. The down is the music is on your dollar in a high tech juke box on the wall. On a positive the drinks are pretty reasonably priced read more

Best bar ever... Mike hires the hottest ladies to tend bar, and they are always clad sparingly! the ping pong table is always a nice option when drinking, and don't be scared to play beer pong, or circle of death on it either, that is totally legal. Really this is the most laid back bar in town, the only thing i have ever seen someone be admonished for is standing in the booth. this isn't a cocktail bar, though they do make a mean cape cod, emphasis on the word mean, they will sneak attack you and leave you in a bad way the following morning. there are beautiful people, 50 year old drunks, hipsters, pretentious twits, and average joes. it is the greatest. if you want a bar to get seriously drunk in, this is it. if you want to play trivia during happy hour, this is it. if you want to have a birthday party, this is it. if you want to meet new people, this is it. the only reason why you wouldn't like it is if you expected it to be something it isn't, it is not pretty, it is not fancy, and it certainly isn't for the cool carpet kids. ~full disclosure, i live two blocks away and can walk home after completely destroying my liver, so that is a part of why i l.o.v.e. love it. read more

Yup its a hole in the wall, grungy hang out. Not my typical crowd, but still an interesting place to enjoy the juke box and have a few drinks while people watching. It IS VERY smokey. I say go, atleast for last call or a sunday drink. read more

This place is a complete joke. Not only was the service poor and drinks watered down they also overcharge your tab. So if you are forced into having drinks at this **** hole bar DO NOT use your debit card! 10 dollar minimum on card=0 tip for bartenders and a big fuck you to owner/management. Your telling me I have to spend 25 bucks on average cocktails? Dave...fuck off staight up...fuck off your greedy pos! read more

This place is pretty small. Great bartender, very friendly. Cheap happy hour beer. They allow smoking.

Some long-time bartenders are great, but good looks and a nice rack trump bartending skill, if you're looking for a job ladies. Monday afternoon bartender this week (9/22) begrudgingly served me then had to ask how to make a club special. Later, when I asked for some club soda I was given water (with an attitude chaser). Still, it's in the neighborhood where I've lived for over 30 years, has free internet access and allows smoking. It's a trade-off - a fair one, if you can drink what's given to you and stomach the bad service, hateful looks and comments on Monday afternoons. read more

I love this place!! sure its smokey!! but its one of the last smoking bars you can go into!! im not a smoker, and the smoke doesnt bother me at all! anyway! it has a killer jukebox, ping pong, pool , darts, punching bag!! and i guarantee the HOTTEST female bartenders in Okc!!! guaranteed!!! the place is ALWAYS packed 7 nights a week, and it is by far the busiest , most popular bar on western ave. If you want a great time go there! youll see!! I heard that the same owner has owned it 30 years! I also will add that there a re 10 plasma tv's with surround sound for all the sporting events! just a grea, fun place all in all!!! read more
