Came to Lawton Oklahoma for work and stopped into this place. I was immediately seated and the waitress staff was very friendly. The restaurant was clean had nice music painting in the background and he was able to watch the game at this bar. We were really looking forward to trying Back Porch Draft House, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. Our server, Brooklyn, was inattentive and surprisingly rude throughout the visit. From the moment we sat down, it felt like we were a bother rather than guests. There was little to no engagement, and rushed service, and an overall lack of professionalism that made us question if we were on a hidden camera show. Customer service is a big part of the dining experience, and sadly, this visit missed the mark entirely. I like this place, food is pretty consistent and there is always friendly staff to make it a happy place. I prefer lunch and dinner, breakfast can be hit or miss. I have only tried a couple times and I found the breakfast food lacking that grandmas feel. Of course it's just an opinion. The ambiance can be a little tight for comfort. Where I have set, the bar is the best but the table arrangement is I little close for comfort. Again, my opinion. read more

After driving around Lawton trying to find a hometown restaurant we had to settle on a chain brewery. It was a bad experience. I had the kids burger meal. The meat was delicious on the burger. Service was friendly and some of the food was good. Was disappointed in the beer menu, we expected more since it's a drafthouse. I know it's rural Oklahoma, but families visit from all over for graduation, I expected a vegetarian option. It's not hard to carry some veggie burgers in the freezer. Everything is awesome about this place. Servers are professional and always get orders correct. No other place in Lawton or surrounding areas has been able to get my order of rum and coke right. It's a bit noisy, but food and service make up for it. Also, last time we were there they couldn't put the OU softball game on one of the tvs in the eating area when we requested it. My boyfriend and I decided to give this a try our first night in Lawton, visiting from California for a wedding. Living in the Bay Area, we have access to some pretty good food options. I really wasn't expecting much from the restaurants in this small town but I was wrong Our server Carrie was so sweet and attentive. She answered all of our questions about the menu very throughly and checked on us frequently. To share we had the classic wings and so Gouda Mac and cheese bites. I ordered the OG Burger + fries and my partner got the Kraken Burger+ BP slaw. To drink we tried the strawberry jalapeño margarita and the frozen vodka Red Bull. The drinks and food were great! We enjoyed the wings so much we came back again the next day to have the boneless wings. Such a perfect ratio of fried crunchiness with great sauce flavors. I'm currently savoring my leftover wings in my hotel. We don't drink beer but it is a drafthouse and the draft beer menu was pretty extensive! Over all I really enjoyed eating here both times! After a long day hiking at Mt. Scott in Lawton, OK, I and a group of friends were searching for a sit-down restaurant open after 9 p.m. We came upon the Backporch Drafthouse via an internet search and decided to give it a try. First Impression: The prices were not cheap and not expensive. They were accommodating when we called and asked to hold a table of four. When we arrived, the place wasn't very busy. However, there is a second location in Lawton. Be aware of the second location if you're having friends meet you. The staff is friendly and the restaurant was clean. Appetizers: We ordered the "Crispy Fried Pickles" and the "So Gooda Mac & Cheese Bites". You would expect the fried pickles (sliced pickle rounds deep fried in batter and served with ranch dressing). They were hot and fresh. The Mac & Cheese bites were AMAZING! If you like mozzarella cheese sticks, this is a way better alternative. They came out hot and fresh, the smoked gouda was just the right amount, and they were also served with ranch dressing. Meals: I ordered the T-BAM and it was pretty good. This is a safe choice if you want a club-style sandwich with a few extra options. The fries were decent as well. Everything was served at the proper temperature. Not so good: A friend ordered a house salad with the vinaigrette dressing. I tried a bit of it and it wasn't what I would expect of a vinaigrette. It was savory and not sweet. It had a unique taste, but it would be something I would dip a poor-tasting piece of steak into. I would stick with the traditional dressings. We had to ask the server for refills (but we were also dehydrated from the hike). We all drank soda or water and did not sample alcoholic beverages. Overall: I would each here again. However, know which location you're at. If you don't want a huge crowd, this is probably your best best. This is pub/sports bar food with an elevated approach. The restaurant is clean. The food is served fresh (at this location). The service was good. The servers were friendly. read more

My daughter and I have been all day in the city and we were on our way back to Lawton and decided to order takeout from back porch Drafthouse when we finally got home we were too tired to eat I got up today and ate mine for lunch and I just wanted to say that the food was just as delicious today as it is what it's first made. the cooks are excellent. I'm please relate to Cooks if they're boneless unloaded wings are to die for. great experience every time I go there. Food was terrible. Burgers are just frozen patties, fries are just frozen from the bag and hard and bland. It was about as cheap of ingredients as you could get and there were flies everywhere. Braums is much better compared to here. read more

My family and I are visiting Lawton this week to watch my brother graduate basic training for the army. We came to back porch because my brother was craving a really good burger since the bootcamp food is basic. Food looked decent but it made my whole family very sick. We all had nausea and the runs, bad. - talk about back porch alright, maybe that's why it's in the name. My mom ordered the Fish and Chips (didn't even get a burger) and could not stop being sick from both ends! Even during the Army ceremony. This one meal literally ruined our trip. Do NOT eat here. We knew it was this place because it was the only place we went out to eat before feeling like this. 3/4 family members are still not feeling well a day later. Just passing through and wanted something local. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere is a sports bar. Not too big but not too small. The Okie Ruben is a great idea for adding jalapeños but it was too salty to finish. I really wanted to love it but it broke my heart. Based on the crowd I must of gotten that 1 in a 100 bad sandwich. If I come back this way I think I would give it another shot. read more
