Was college football game day in Norman and my group of nine; including me, was looking for somewhere we could get a fast breakfast. Everywhere in town seemed to be full with a hour or two waiting list. We wound up going with Jimmy's Egg because though they were full they could still squeeze us in. I got the classic eggs & bacon breakfast with toast & hash browns an a side of wheat toast. I enjoyed my meal, the bacon was crispy and was nice long strips. We've been to multiple Jimmy's locations all over OK. They all are very good. The Omelettes (have had several different ones) are great. The 'create your own' omelette is always perfect. Good value for the money. Always good. read more

Food was good, but service was HORRIBLE. Server got our drinks and took our order quicky then stopped to talk without turning in our order, then disappeared. Had to ask a different server for coffee refills. She delivered our food and disappeared AGAIN. Saw her when she brought our ticket. They only had 5-6 tables at the time.Each table was either one or two people so that couldn't be the excuse. read more

What used to set JE apart from the other breakfast restaurants was the homemade white toast. It was at least 1 1/2 inches thick and fluffy with butter. My toast today was paper thin and burnt. When I spoke to the manager about it she told me that they weren't allowed to cut it thick and that her customers liked it thin. That is false! She got really rude. Told me I came in with a bad attitude and for me to go away! Needless to say I won't be back there! EVER!!! There's way too many breakfast restaurants in Norman now to deal with a rude manager. I hope Felix knows what he is dealing with at that restaurant. read more

The family decided on Jimmy's egg this morning for breakfast as it was the closest place to walk. Definitely did not disappoint this morning. Although, quite busy we were seated instantly. It did take a minute to get our drink order, but no biggie H2O was the beverage of choice. The food was delicious in my opinion! The hubby ordered the Biscuits Debris, nice size portion, looked tasty from across the table and he was still able to bring home leftovers. I chose the Baja Omelet with Grits and Biscuits and gravy. Man on man, that Omelet was so scrumptious with crunchy bacon, yummy avocado, tomatoes and jack cheese then topped with some finger licking good hollandaise sauce. Just mouth watering!! Grits were seasoned to perfection and the biscuits and gravy get to go home for an afternoon snack..LOL My son was excited for the omelet because he got to make it just the way he likes them with Bacon and cheese only, with a side of grits and pancakes to take home for a small meal later. The ambience was good. Well lit plenty of space so you don't feel like you're on top of each other. Friendly faces and smiles. read more

I had the chicken quesadilla for lunch on 10-20-22 which I have ordered at other locations. The service at this location was slow even though there was only a table with 2 older gentlemen & myself eating in the restaurant at the time. Quesadilla was finally brought out to me & the chicken that they used did not taste or look fresh compared to the other Jimmy's Egg I usually eat breakfast or lunch at near where I live. The chicken looked & tasted like the cheap frozen diced chicken that comes frozen out of the bag. I received my ticket quickly after the food arrived but no server ever came to my table so I could pay & check out. I finally just went up to the front counter to pay. I am in this area once a month but I won't be returning to this particular location. Service, food & value are not good at this location. I will stick to the Jimmy's Egg in Shawnee, which has the best service & food from now on. read more

I eat breakfast every Monday at Jimmy's Egg, with several of my friends. None of us have ever had a problem with the quality of the food or with the staff. If I lived in Norman I would eat there more often. I really enjoy the staff and how they make us feel at home. read more

Food is great, however don't appreciate, actually hate it when the help is showing his underwear because his pants are below buttocks. I'm a steady customer of the establishment(its in my Neighborhood and meet friends for coffee and breakfast often. Let me start this off that I am very fond of the waitstaff. The front of the house is great the girls are all very friendly, prompt and attentive. My issue is with the quality of the food coming out of the kitchen. Terrible. Today I ordered a club sandwich, and curly fries....The sandwich was dry and had zero condiment, a dry club sandwich. The waitress gave me some mayo in a packet but if you have ever eaten a club sandwich you know it's impossible to take apart, put mayo on every slice of bread and put it back together.... Also, watching the cooks you see them gloveless while cooking and eating food while cooking. Very unprofessional and not very sanitary. I give the front of the house 5 stars but cooks get a zero.... read more

My husband and I came in for breakfast we where greeted nicely our server Nicole was so kind and polite she made sure we had what we need and food was nice and hot when received it. A friend of mine was recently hired as a server here. After her third day of training another server (not a manager) pulled her aside to tell her she's not a good fit and "they" have decided to let her go.?? This is the most unprofessional thing I've ever heard of. read more

Have had poor experiences in the past, but just ordered in pickup and it was done perfectly. There were more employees than I have ever seen and they were all very friendly and seemed to be efficient. This is definitely one of the better breakfast options around. Don't be fooled by the chain and go to hasslers up the street, this is better. read more

This place is great at breakfasts. Corned beef hash is out of a can, and they have no real butter anywhere. Their choice of "buttery flavored spread" is complete with transfat, according to the kitchen. The table supplied spread is transfat free. read more

I was pretty disappointed with the food and service. The waitress was kind of rude in interacting with us. She made some odd comments about the food to the people next to us too, and they seemed uncomfortable. The home fries weren't good at all, they tasted like grass. Had brunch here with my boyfriend. He mentioned that the one in the city is good. So we tried the one in Norman and it was delicious!

The past three times we have eaten there our orders were either raw or burnt. Today was last time I'll go. Today all three of our hash browns were burnt outside and soaking wet like mashed cold potatoes inside. Too bad, we used to come here alot. I don't know what has happened here. This location used to be so good. But I went for lunch today, and things have changed for the worse. None of the same folks who used to work here are still here. The service was terrible. Both my friend and I got dirty silverware. The server brought our food (finally), immediately dropped our checks off and we never saw her again. The food was sub par. Got here just in time this morning- about 9:30- and beat the morning rush. Very extensive menu; made it difficult to choose, but we were quite pleased with our choices. Eggs cooked just right with hash browns, sausage patties and "3 dollar size pancakes" was plenty of food. Also tried the biscuits and gravy; HIGHLY recommend the biscuits which were great on their own or with the gravy. Would definitely go back. read more
