Lunch last Saturday with family at the Mont. Last time I was there was about 15 years ago after an OU football game. It has not changed much. Still a fun and enjoyable restrauant. We were able to get one of the last tables on the patio. Had a great time. Enjoyed the vibe and the food. Ate to much with the appetizers and our mains. We ordered chips and queso, fried cheese curds and potato skins. All three appetizers were good but without the wow factor. Just good solid offerings. For our mains I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. It was good, but not exceptional. Reed ordered the bacon cheese burger and said it was very good. Jan ordered the french dip and said it was very good. Kris ordered the club with fries and said it was OK. Loved the patio setting and experience. The service was average. The Mont is a solid sports bar style of restrauant with a corresponding menu. read more

First time here today for lunch. I know, I know. It's been a long time coming. What a gem in Norman, OK. Since school is out it wasn't too busy and my friend and I sat outside. I ordered a piña colada, which was delicious, my friend had a swirl. The tables outside seemed a little crowded but with the normal college crowd, I can see why they would have so many. I did venture inside. Nature called. The stained glass, entry to the bar, and seating inside was exquisite. read more

Why do you have pet friendly on your site? If that is not the case. Very frustrating when you have your greeter close enough to the parking lot to stop us when getting the dogs and their stroller and not to mention my mother in law and her walker out. And let us get up to him before being told oh sorry no dogs. read more

Thought I'd try something new but nope - had to get that Cuban again. Also, queso is great - unique in its heartiness and complex flavor. read more

Lazy servers especially the girl w the crocs. Sat at table for 30 min after requesting service multiple times. Walked by my table 10 times with hardly anybody else dining, and did not apologize. Other than that this place is super amazing, but this experience made me never want to go here again read more

The service was excellent, and the food was just as great! A wonderful dining experience!

Great service for such a busy spot. Has a big menu and lots of drink options to beat the heat. Cool dark ambience with a large outdoor patio. Always hit up The Mont when I am in Norman. read more

Several folks recommended we go to The Mont while in town for a football weekend. We walked over from our Airbnb and arrived around 4:45-5:00 on Friday afternoon. There was a wait (30ish minutes?) for patio seating. The good news? They have some covered seating adjacent the parking lot where you can wait and enjoy drinks, too! We stayed with round one and I ordered the infamous swirl. This frozen concoction is my kind of cocktail! Before long we were seated on the patio where we enjoyed another round of drinks and some shareables - chips and gauc (generous portion!) and fried pickles. The swirl and the atmosphere were terrific. Service was good, too. Fun place to hang out with friends! read more

In all honesty, I go here for the absolutely best sangria swirl around! The food is good but not overly great. My club salad was good. My husband had the blue plate special with the chicken fried chicken. He enjoyed the meat portion the best. The service is always super friendly! As far as the atmosphere, I prefer going during nice days where you can sit on their wonderful patio. Inside is old fashioned but nostalgic. read more

This spot is among my favorite places in the area. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Its in an old building that is very cool. Everything I've ever eaten there has been very good and the frozen Sangria stripe drink they make is exceptionally delicious. The only downside is if you show up when it's busy then there sometimes is a wait but it's usually not too long and the food is always worth waiting for. I highly recommend the Mont read more

The place is not always easy to get into because they are so busy! My husband loved the swirl which was a recommended must! The restaurant is cool and loved the look of it by not updating it. The food was good and it came out relatively fast. read more

Menu is not the same as it has been. Realize when you eat here you are paying for the experience- dine al fresco on their patio. The service is normally decent. Not this time. -I had to wipe our table off because it was still sticky -I had to bring us menus (you seat yourself but it was a solid 15 minutes before our server approached us and they were not busy at all) -server carried our once hot appetizer to FOUR different tables taking care of them and holding the food. By the time she made her way to us it was soggy. -my chicken was like rubber, I didn't finish it -my wife asked for a side of queso but never received it -no one offered us refills, I had to ask three times for a refill in a to go cup -it took a solid 45 mins for our lunch to come up. -I asked for small plates so we could eat our lukewarm soggy fried artichokes I love the Mont and we made a special trip to go. Lesson learned. read more

A Norman classic!! Love their drinks and food. I would recommend the taco salad or Miguel's club sandwich

The patio dining is a great option on a nice day and they've added sail panels since I last went so it's an even better option when the sun is out. The food is solid, nothing spectacular but tasty and affordable. Got a burger and fries for $10, hard to beat that. The burger itself was good, the fries were well seasoned, the service was good. A nice basic Norman staple read more

Gross and Cheap bar-stadium food. Great patio. But drinks made to max profits catering to college students. It's a very loud place inside. Patio is really nice but on a busy street. The service has the rushed feel of a club bar. read more

Nice place the locals love. Had a burger and it did not disappoint. Price was reasonable. Would visit again.

You simply must order the burritos and the queso here. Ridiculously good! The Mont is a classic hangout in Norman and we will definitely return! The service is lively and the atmosphere is very fun. read more

This restaurant is located in a college town(dive bar). We decided to try this establishment while driving by and seeing the well lit patio and hearing music. They offered self seating on the patio. A sever approached our table quite quickly. We ordered a swirl, fried pickles and tacos. The swirl was amazing!! We had 2 chicken tacos and 1 ground beef taco. They came with lettuce and tomorrow and were bland (wouldn't recommend). But the fried pickles were bomb. They were seasoned well and came out piping hot. Overall, I could come back for late night eats/drinks. read more

We came in a Saturday night and it was a 15 minute wait which wasn't too bad. They had a football game so it was pretty crowded so service was a little slow but our server was very nice. The inside is a little dark but the decor was cute. We started off with pina coladas and they were delicious. We got the mini corn dogs and burgers and everything was good. Honestly for the price of the food this place is a perfect spot to get drinks near campus on the weekend. read more

The food is subpar, but they are heavy handed with their drinks so I guess that's probably why they are so popular. Won't be returning, but understand why people do! read more

When to the many last week with my buds and celebrating one of my coolest friends's birthday, had swirls, they are magically delicious! The service is top tier, nice waitresses/waiter with their bubbly personality, I order the theta burger with mayo, bbq, pickles, cheese and onions with a side of fries and ordered deep fried pickles which they are to DIE for! Love the look of the restaurant and has a beautiful outdoor dining, made for eating out in nice weather and pretty hand to have big outdoor heating lamps when it gets cool. The best patio in Norman, hands down. Heaters when it's cold, misters when it's hot. The brick patio and all the plants make it a unique and really pretty spot to enjoy lunch or dinner out with family or friends. The Mont is a campus staple and never disappoints. Everything is solid, the drinks, the food, the service. Go for your birthday and get your free t-shirt. Don't forget some queso and a frozen swirl. It's a Norman/OU tradition! read more

The Mont is a traditional must go to whenever I'm in town visiting. Everything I've tried so far has been quality and for a great price. This time I got the taco salad and that has to be the best taco salad I've ever eaten. The vegetables were fresh, the meat was seasoned & flavorful, and the taco shell tasted awesome. I washed it all down with a Sooner swirl! I absolutely love this place and will be back the next time I'm in town. read more

I have loved this restaurant and would generally give it 4-5 stars. Although I think it is unacceptable when the hostess tells you the wait is 35 minutes. You go and sit at the bar to wait for a table. An hour later still no table. You go and check at the hostess stand how long for your table. Receive attitude and get told another 25 minutes! Okay my first wait was 35 minutes that turned into an hour as I waited patiently. Does 25 minutes mean another 40 minutes. The attitude was also not okay I should be receiving an apology! Get rid of the attitude and start focusing on customer service. Disappointed with how much money I've given you the past 4 years of college. read more
