Mike doing a fantastic cover of Blackstreet's No Diggity

What a great dive bar! It's right on Main Street in Norman, so the parking is hit or miss, but it's just a couple of doors down from The Garage and the Red Brick Bar. My boss had a gig here, so some of us from work came out to hear him. Apparently there are fairly new owners to the bar, and now they have their liquor license. There was a $1 cover charge, and they offered $1 Natty Light, Miller High Life, or PBR. There was a decent crowd but not too crazy. It was a Thursday night, so I didn't expect it to be packed. The acoustics were decent, and man, can that dude, Mike, sing!! We had a terrific time! From the Budweiser mural across the wall, to the shuffleboard games, and the wagon wheel looking tables, you can tell this place has seen its fair share of times - good and bad. Does it need some updating? Sure! Will that keep me from returning? Absolutely not!

The Blue Bonnet is a great , no frills, dive bar. There are no fancy drinks, just beer. It has a great location, Main & Porter. The atmosphere is always friendly and when they have live music, it is awesome. Update: The bar is under new ownership. It has the same great atmosphere and music, but they now have a full bar!

No watered down drinks here! Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. No smoking inside but you can smoke outside on the patio.

There were a couple pool tables, the the place is a bit small, but there was room to dance.

Just left here usually a fun time, friends and I always have good time...until tonight when my…read moresisters and I were trying to use the restroom as my sister sat down on the toilet the door got kicked in by two grown ass (40-50) women. One said "I know there are more stales in here open the fucking door" if you've been to the deli you would know there is only one toliet in the girls restroom. A grown male walked in to the restroom totally unprofessional and weird... The owner told us to get out obviously to de-escalate the situation this led to him telling us to get the fuck out as the bar was starting to close. We were just trying to tell him what happened as it was very uncomfortable, he then told us to use the mens restroom and it will be fine . If i were you i would avoid using the bathroom...because everyone felt like it was okay to watch you half naked/ felt in-tilted to kick the door open.

In a bar with only drinks to serve, hitting the service level to achieve a reasonable review of…read moresuccess should be easier; however, the only thing easy about The Deli was leaving, never to return. While the list of things wrong with this bar is longer than the lines at the restroom, mostly caused by the breaks taken by the staff to visit the facilities every fifteen minutes, I'll try to keep the problems to the most egregious. First, the bartenders couldn't be bothered to take an order. If you were lucky enough to make eye contact with one of them between their continuous arguments with each other, you were met with an uncanny ability to either forget your order within seconds or walk back to your table only to find the order was wrong. The line in the bar was quite long, not because the bar was packed with patrons, but rather because you would have to place your order multiple times, or return because it was an errant attempt at your order. The line was so long in fact, that multiple fights broke out while in line either between staff and customers or amongst the patrons themselves. Overall I believe the reason this place even stays open is it's near OU campus and doesn't have to work too hard to take advantage of the occasional new student, over served future middle management cog, or some out of town parents trying a local place. Do better.

This is a good place for entertainment at University of Oklahoma - good people, good times and great experiences. I was a bit early and got introduced to these owners and it was the begining of the wonderful experience. - I had the delicious house Pineapple punch with rum which was excellent and just one glass put a "buzz in my turban" - I got to see the menu and noticed a yummy array of food but did not eat as I had already eaten my dinner! Will be there tomorrow to eat! - The ambience of the place reflects on the warmth and friendly nature of the ownership! The bar was well stocked and well kept, the premises were very clean and there was a sense of pride in what was being done. The outside patio was very charming! - The service was impeccable and as I mentioned in the earlier paragraphs there could not be a friendlier place! Thank you Addi, Lane, Eli, Sarah, Ethan and Julius for looking after me so well. You people are going to go places. To summarize, I had an excellent experience on the above these three categories and I will be going to the dance party on the 3rd!! I strongly recommend this venue for anybody's entertainment needs and a place to get together with friends! As far as entertainment- there was an out of state "modern country western band," Tommy Goodroad and his band, and it was their first gig in Oklahoma. It was excellent stuff played by a very talented band with the artists playing a whole spectrum of originals and cover music. Hope to see you all at the Opolis sometime soon. Have a great weekend!!
