We've come to Norman, Oklahoma two years in a row for work, and we've eaten at Pub W both times. This visit was just as great as I remembered, if not better! Our service and meal were absolutely fantastic. I wish I could remember our server's name, but she took care of our group of about 12 in the back room and was on top of everything all night. She was so kind, patient, and willing to repeat things when needed, which is huge when you have that many people trying to get attention at once. She even thanked us for coming in, which was such a sweet touch. The food was amazing. She accidentally brought out an extra side of squash puppies and let us keep them, so I tried them even though I hadn't ordered them. Let me tell you, you HAVE to order them. They were absolutely divine, and the butter and jam they come with are incredible. I started with a salad, which was also very good, and then ordered the chicken bruschetta based on our server's recommendation. The Brussels sprouts were insane, so flavorful and easily one of my favorite parts of the meal. The bruschetta was delicious too, and I ended up eating almost all of it. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would recommend Pub W to anyone. The back room was the perfect spot for our large group and had such a fun, relaxed vibe. Since my first review (which was pretty negative) I have been to Pub W several times. Service has been wonderful. I have not seen the "very verbose" server, who had interrupted us continually on my first visit. Guess he doesn't work there anymore. Since then, servers have been attentive, but not overly so, and congenial. The restaurant is always clean. This includes the ladies' restroom. We usually get the Pick 2. The chupacabra sandwich is delicious. I've also had the fried shrimp and the fisherman's platter at different times. Both excellent. Suffice it to say, deciding to give Pub W a second try was well worth the effort. read more

I ordered the frozen strawberry mojito, and it was very refreshing after a really hot day. We got several appetizers to share, but the squashpuppies with the honey jalapeño were delish! Went for happy hour cocktails only but WOW........I got the Rosemary 75 with a fresh rosemary sprig! It was so nice and refreshing. My husband had their margarita and it was incredible. Our group enjoyed several different types of cocktails that included the Rosemary 75, Perfect Margarita, New'w' Fashion, Espresso Martina, Pineapple Express and Abominable Snowman. All of the drinks were fantastic and I love how they structure the happy hour prices. $3.95 at 3pm, $4.95 at 4pm, and $5.95 at 5pm. Our server was attentive and friendly. Went to pub w for dinner with friends. We sat outside, on the patio and the weather was quite nice l. I tried the chopped cheesesteak with cheese and it was delicious this was my first time getting this meal. My friend got the the jalapeño bacon burger sub the patty for a vegan patty with no bacon. She enjoyed it and said it had some kick to it. Now my other friend got the abacora bacon cheeseburger and she was less then impressed. She stated it was not seasoned well just tasted like cooked meat. We sent it back and Courtney our waitress was lovely. We all enjoyed the French fries and ranch. The ranch was very good. Her burger was replaced by the chicken salad which was also not her favorite, the chicken was cubed and had raw onions which she isn't a fan of. Now i always enjoy this place and the drinks are my favorite. I had the banaquri and i love it. It is one of the new drinks this season. I took my daughter here after she got her masters degree from the university of Oklahoma and her and her friend ordered some good food and they loved it. The portions were large. The prices were very reasonable and the service was perfect. I believe the girls name was Emily and she was super nice and good and they were very busy and she did a great job and everybody was nice and friendly and I appreciate that. read more

I've eaten here many times. I would say by and large, the food is always good. I pretty much get the same two things every time, Baked Salmon or the Jalapeño Burger. This time I got the Baked Salmon. It was really good. I got double Brussel sprouts. They're roasted and marinated in a balsamic glaze. It's got a good savory flavor. This particular day the sun was perfect so made for a good pic. Back at the end of February I ordered on the website and it was to the wrong address so I called to see what I could do to fix this, they said they could only cancel and refund the order and have me put in a new one or I come get it, I chose to have the refund. I put in a new order made sure the address was right but it switched back to the original! So I gave up called again and said I would just pick it up(and just to clarify that's probably on me that's not my problem here), so both over the phone and in person when I got there it was confirmed to me that the other order would be refunded. Clearly since I'm writing this it hasn't, I have called 3 times and I've contacted the company they deliver through and nothing, so I paid 60 dollars total for 30 dollars worth of food and each time I've called I've been told the same thing "oh I'll go ahead and get that refunded to you now" but nothing has happened. I have come to this place time and time again and Im a huge fan of the food and atmosphere so it makes me sad this happened because it discourages me heavily from picking this place again. read more

I really like coming here because it's chill and I can sit at the bar by myself and not be bothered. I've tried quite a few items on their menu and I haven't had one bad thing yet. Keep in mind, outside of a burger, they don't offer red meat options so this place has a cross between sports bar & grill type food and healthy coastal type dishes. I love their salmon poke bowl which is sadly the only poke bowl I've been able to find in Norman. My favorite thing might be their Chili Lime Chicken Salad which was recommended to me by the bartender my first time in and never disappoints. They offer a full bar with top shelf liquors, a wide selection of beer on tap, local brews and a small wine list. Staff is friendly and like to address you by name which is a nice touch. read more

This is becoming one of my favorite spots! The staff are all so friendly. It's always clean, including the bathrooms. I like that they bring your water in a craft to the table. That way you can refill as needed. Happy hour is legit here. Everything thing I've been served has been amazing. They do a monthly HH appetizer along with the drink specials. The menu is varied and you can get anything from a sandwich to a steak grilled to perfection. On Wednesdays they feature a wine at a special price. Brunch is really good too. My favorite is the chicken and waffles. Plus they mimosas are at a really great price. Try it out! You'll probably see me here. read more

I fell in love with this place the first time I was here! This has become my fave hangout for OU home games, while my son and his buddy use our season ticket seats. The outside seating is awesome, inside is great too! It's like an modernized pub that kept its hometown pub feel. The drinks are great (they have Guiness!!!!!) I haven't had anything I didn't like on the menu, but I haven't tried everything yet...lol! The establishment is clean, the bathrooms are clean, with great decor! Well this is a new favorite! I was a little worried because it took a few minutes to greet us when we entered, but once seated service was fabulous. Service here is top notch. Our party was in a hurry to get to an event but we were accommodated with quick and responsive service! The food was amazing. Several of the group picked specialty burgers that came out to perfection. We all commented on the fries as they were crispy and seasoned just right! Fish and chips were also fantastic. We were seated around 12:45pm on a Friday and there was a table of approximately 12 ladies that had no respect for the rest of the restaurant by being unbelievably loud. Not the restaurant's fault but until they left it was miserable. My wife had a bacon, blue cheeseburger that was very good according to her. The highlight was the best fried chicken either one of us has ever had. You get half a chicken(4 pieces). It was cooked fresh and extremely juicy. I remember going here a couple of years ago and the food was something I always went for now I must say that the food is mediocre. I ordered the fried chicken plate it was basic and nothing I couldn't get at Popeyes..the chicken was over cooked or old And salty...I think Popeyes offered more flavored than that and the seafood platter my husband ordered was just as bland and familiar to long john silver....they changed the menu and I will not be back...the queso chips appetizer lack flavor as well.. the pork tender bites was the best thing on the menu...so disappointed in the food we also ordered two drinks perfect margarita and it was watered down...will not be back unless it's a revamp...don't waste your money on food you can get at a drive thru... read more
