Very kind staff and quick service. The space is incredible. Lots of different pockets of seating. From couches to tables and chair. Very comfortable. They also have what looks like some conference rooms you can reserve and a coworking space. This place is very versatile. I got the chestnut Christmas drink and I did not really like it. It was too sweet for me, but really it's my fault. I don't love sweet coffee and I went for it anyways. I have a feeling if I told them that I did not like it they would have gotten me something new, but I didn't feel the need for more coffee. BUT if you love sweet coffee then you'll love the drink I got! I come to this area of the city about once a week and I can't wait to come back and try something a little less sweet. Ordered a iced pumpkin spice latte this morning. There was no flavor at all. Couldn't even taste the pumpkin. When I went to say there was no pumpkin in it, they made us pay extra for an extra squirt of flavor. So, basically, I had to pay extra for my coffee to taste like it was supposed to taste originally. Total rip off. Never coming back. Reply to the business owner: If you admit you had to add quite a bit of syrup to fix the drink you made, then that is a reflection on how well you made the drink to begin with. The fact that you deflected the issue, and tried to flip it back on the customer is validating that your business deserved one star. Very sad. Do better. Have a fabulous day :) read more

Love the coffee. Love the people. Everyone is always so nice and friendly and eager to help you find the perfect cup of joe! I also love that it's the perfect place to work. You can rent one of the private rooms by the hour or get a membership. If you don't luck up on a private spot, sitting at one of their tables is equally as nice! The only thing I don't love is that you have to access the menu online if you're using the drive through and sometimes the link doesn't load! And sometimes it's a bit of a wait too! Not a quick in and out if you get stuck behind a few cars. Other than that... Highly recommend checking these good folks out! read more

Legit 4. Nabbed the iced coffee today as warm just didn't sound right. Might be a hint too much if flowery but really not bad and not overly bitter. Looks like they have small Break out rooms for meeting which looks cool and plenty of indoor seating. I'm going to have to try one of the sandwiches bc they sounded good and they make 'em there. read more

I've only been here once, but I really enjoyed the caffeine free drink items to choose from. I got the Italian cream soda and you get choose the syrup flavor and really customize your drink. Uhh that was such an amazing drink! I really can't believe how good it was. Ingot peach and raspberry syrup in my drink and it was so tasty. They have a few small rooms you can study in which is nice. You can rent them too, but if they are free you can study in them all you want. It's a nice environment to study in and it relatively quiet. They have a large area with lots of tables. Some of the study rooms have large windows and the ones on the inside are more private with no windows. If you are in a rush, don't worry, they have a drive thru. The employees were very friendly when I was there and the inside was clean. read more

Facing a long drive back to Texas, I visited The Underground to order the biggest baddest coffee available. We were grabbing drinks to go, but the interior at the Underground looked to be spacious with tons of good seating and nice vibes and decor. This shop also features a drive-through, and it was clearly bustling when we visited. My son enjoyed his iced mocha, but I did not love my large quad shot latte. The espresso not remarkable, and it came through a bit bitter and unbalanced compared to what I would hope for from a top craft coffee shop. Overall, it was a good experience with good service. For best results, you should probably stick to a sweet flavored drink that is not so expresso-forward. read more

I love this local coffee shop - The Underground. If you haven't enjoyed a seasonal Peppermint Mocha Latte yet, you are seriously missing out on this festive treat! (I get mine 'half sweet,' but you do you!) Use the handy drive-thru window or c'mon inside where the staff is super friendly and the shop decor & furnishings are cozy, comfy & inviting. I really want to give this place five stars, I do love their coffee. Sometimes it's a little too sweet for me and my wife, but that's the kind of treat I want sometimes. Staff is always nice and polite as well, never had a bad experience with them. However, the reason I have to do four stars is because of the wait. Like seriously are you out plucking the coffee beans to make this? 20 minutes for a morning coffee while trying to get to work just isn't cutting it for me. Then again, who am I to rush quality. read more

The Underground is the only coffee shop that makes drinks I want to spend my money on. I love their selection and the quality is just there. The espresso shot to milk ratio is perfect, plus my cappuccino always has plenty of foam. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and can help you select a drink that matches your preferences. Not only does the Underground have great drinks, it has wonderful service and an incredible atmosphere! I saw people from all walks of life - an infant, a group of more mature guys, and everything in between. Everyone seemed to be comfortable in the environment of the Underground and enjoying their drink of choice! My current personal go to is a honey latte with cinnamon. If you want coffee that's as good or better than any of the "chain" stores and not idle a half a tank of fuel while brushing up on your coffee lingo in order to get a drink (here, you can say "large" and they don't look at you like you didn't graduate high school). Great lounge area and staff. My only place for "other than work" coffee. The "Batman" will leave you sugared up like a 4 year old after a birthday party. And that's a beautiful thing. read more

Sweet little hometown coffee shop. It's a bit out of the way, but worth finding. It doesn't feel commercialized or franchised (although they have multiple locations). It's casual and family friendly. The drinks are tasty. Some fresh-made sandwiches are available, but I think the rest of the food options are packaged. There some smoothie options and please, please, I beg of you, for the love of all that is good and sacred, please TRY THE MASALA CHAI!! I couldn't even count the number of coffee shops that off er chai from a powder or, if you're lucky, a concentrate. But The Underground's Masala Chai is real loose tea and a masterful blend of whole spices, brewed with sugar and milk. Order it "dirty" to add a shot of espresso. read more

Good local coffee shop. Plenty of inside seating options. I love that they have a detailed drink menu unlike Starbucks where unless they have a seasonal special you have to create your own drink. I don't want to have to provide a recipe to get a decent drink, that's what I'm paying $5/cup for. They also have a drive-thru which is convenient. Best coffee in OKC. Starbucks, scooters, Dunkin' Donuts, Dutch bros, etc. don't hold a flame in comparison. The staff is super nice, helpful, prompt, and the food/drinks are crazy good, not to mention their hours are great for most schedules. I recommend starting the day off with a nice iced americano and a sausage croissant. Never disappoints. read more

This coffee place in Midwest City is definitely my go-to when I'm back in the city. It's cozy, has amazing coffee, and the service is great. "That one drink" with a shot is my favorite. You can't really go wrong with anything here. Fresh brewed tea and coffee are what will keep you coming back for more. They also have drive thru if you're in a hurry. Best thing to happen to Midwest city is this little family owned coffee shop. Wanna sit and sip your coffee in the store, you'll find friendly staff and regular locals that know this is where to go for great coffee and coffee drinks. Missed your breakfast they've got you covered. Want a quick bite for lunch they have sandwich specials which include a drink and chips for $5. Can't beat this coffee house in town or in the metro. read more

Established in 2005.

As teenagers, we always joked about opening a coffee shop "one day." It was never more than that thought in our minds. After Jacob graduated from college (with a non-business) degree, he couldn't find a job. One day he said to Amber, "What if we really do start a coffee shop?" The next day, Amber quit her job as a bank teller, and a year(ish) later, The Underground opened its doors.

Jacob is one of the founding owners of the Underground. He's married to his favorite girl, Brittany, and is father to three of the best boys in the world - Judah, Ezra & Asa. He loves coffee and facial hair!

The shop is in a corner to the back of a small business plaza to the right of WalMart Neighborhood Market and across the street from McDonald's. Business: Bomber Nutrition started about 5 years ago, using HerbalLife Nutrition protein meals, teas, and snacks. Hours: Sun: 10am-3pm Mon-Fri: 7am-3pm Sat: closed Shakes/Teas: They provide a multitude of options in mixing and blending different flavors of protein shakes or healthy teas. They also offer coffee shakes or iced coffee. Nutrition Bars: They have a few protein bars on hand. Design/Layout: they have 3 seating areas, one to the front with coffee table and chairs, another where you order along the counter space with barstools, and the third to the back with a couch, coffee table, and a small table. Other info: They have a rewards program using your mobile phone number. The woman working was very friendly and helpful. I decided not to eat anything today but fruit and the protein shakes, so I got the Lemon Pound Cake for mom and Blueberry Dulce for me. They were good; although I couldn't taste the blueberry flavor after drinking half of it, but it was still good. Parking: they have plenty of parking spaces in the corner although they're at the bottom of a big hill so some of the spaces dip down so go slow so you don't scrap your bumpers. Anyway, decided to go inside and noticed a few taking advantage of the super cute space to work and adding a mental note when I need to escape my home office. A very kind person greeted me to take my order and we discussed our love of cinnamon. Unfortunately the cinnamon buns are no longer available so I ordered a blackberry sage black tea and a small iced Mexican Mocha. The tea smells amazing and the first sip of the mocha addressed my cinnamon craving. As others have mentioned, they love plants and offer a fun propagation exchange. If you're a plant lover who also likes a caffeinated beverage, definitely check out the place and support your local roaster!
