The service there is great too! My friends always like it as well, and it almost feels like we are visiting in each other's home because it's so comfortable sitting on their furniture. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the music is quiet so we can hear each other without having to strain to block out the noise around us. I give it 5 stars! So, meet your friends and enjoy, or just go and sit by yourself while reading your emails or a good book. I think you will love it as much as I do. One more thing, try the pastries because they are yummy, not on anyone's diet but just treat yourself occasionally, you won't be sorry!

When I walked in, the woman behind the counter was super welcoming and sweet, talked me thru the various flavors and mentioned which ones were made by the owners wife. The REALLY wanted a sampler platter of a bit of each one, but it was just me, so I settled on the pistachio milk cake and caramel milk cake. Oh. My. Goodness. Both were so incredibly delicious. I will 100% be back to try every flavor! They also have several varieties of Trompe-l'œil Pastries - all of which I absolutely will be trying, too. I've only ever had the pistachio one in Istanbul, so I'm looking forward to trying these versions! The interior is a lovely bright space, perfect to enjoy a cup of Yemen coffee and work.

Oklahoma City Coffee Crawl Spot #5…read more Prelude Coffee Roasters is great. Reasonably priced, high quality espresso, served by capable and friendly people. But, the space upstairs is super limited, and that small couch that they have is sunken so close to the floor that is probably counts as an uncomfortable version of a Majli. Show up earlier in the day if you want to try a popular specialty drink.

Oklahoma City Coffee Crawl Spot #2…read more The Ube Iced Latte is amazing. It's the perfect blend of sweet (but "not too sweet"), and espresso. I can't think of the last time I've had an Iced Latte as good as this one. But it's kinda pricey. Also, I know HQ coffee's outdoor seating area seems nifty in theory. But then in practice, you remember that you're in Oklahoma in the summer, where the temperatures lately are so high that you start wondering if God is maybe mad at this state. But fr, who would want to sit outside in these awful temperatures (104-108 F)? Also, there was a homeless man in there. He didn't bother me, and he took off as soon as he saw me walk in there. But it kinda kills the vibe that HQ is going for, I guess...

I had the cortado with sparkling water, which was excellent. I'm already looking forward to trying some of their specialty drinks, the ube latte in particular looks amazing. There is restroom access with a code, plus a drive-thru if you're on the go. HQ Coffee is open daily, from 7am to 5pm on weekdays and 8am to 5pm on weekends. I really enjoyed the coffee and would give it 10 stars if I could.

i've been hitting cities outside of tulsa lately & when i make these trips, i'm reminded on things…read morei lookout for once i hit a city i don't usually visit: gas stations + corner stores, grocery stores & coffee shops. this time around after making an art drop-off, me & the friends i was with made a stop at gray owl coffee that was up the street from where the drop-off was made. before we walk in, there's antique heavy looking door that looks like something i'd like in my house. walking in, the spot is super spacious & the people there were super friendly. the one thing that stood out to me on the menu is exactly what i ordered, the sparkling cold brew (sparkling water + cold brew). also, they had some syrups & usually i go with a syrup when i'm a spot i've never tried before. i went with the french toast syrup because i can't go wrong with anything french toast-related, right? it was really good & even without the syrup, i'd order the sparkling cold brew over & over again. i paired my cold brew with a rose pistachio cardamom bun. it was talking to me when i was looking at the display with the other goodies (their scones looked really really good). the pastry was light & the right amount of sweetness, went well with the cold brew. again, the workers there were super nice & the one who was taking orders along with another who was making the drinks carried a convo the majority of the time i was there placing my order.

It almost felt like they knew those customers because they were served ahead of us, even though we had been waiting much longer. My banana licuado latte had clearly been sitting out for a while by the time I got it and didn't look or taste like it did on our first visit. The staff seemed clueless about what was going on and never apologized. They offered us about 2 oz. of drip coffee for our wait, but it was too bitter for my taste.

I got the Cuban Cortadito I must say it in no way shape or form tasted like any of the Cuban coffees that I had in Miami which is what I am basing the taste on. Also, it is very steeply priced for a 4 oz coffee. (The barista ensured it was aware that it was only 4 oz which if it tasted just like a Cuban coffee it would have been worth it to me as a treat.) The price points though is more expensive than the price points in Miami and Calle Ocho area which is crazy because Miami is expensive. I will give it another shot because the banana latté sounds very appealing so as of right now, I give it a 3 star. In my personal opinion it's overpriced and falls short on taste.
