A cute coffee shop in an unassuming yet convenient location. I've visited Wild Hero before ointment thier old location. They moved months and months ago and I finally made it to their new spot. I love what they've done with the new space. It's open, inviting and smells deeply of coffee Onto today's visit. Service was amazing the batista helped me pick out a decaf tea for a tea latte. She was kind and went above and beyond to find what I needed. I also got a few pastries that were delicious. Both rhe croissant and apple tarte from 9oh3 bakery in Yukon paired so perfectly with my decaf London fog. Honestly everything was top notch. Im happy I chose to stop here instead of summer moon when I was in the area. Both are good but Wild Hero just has an certain type of air in the atmosphere. We just visited Wild Hero for the second time. My partner and I live outside of Oklahoma but this is where we grew up. Home for the holidays and always love supporting local when we are here. We heard rave reviews about Wild Hero so last year we tried it for the first time and we were not disappointed! R. had a mocha latte and I had a vanilla latte. They were smooth and creamy and great. This year, they are at a new location - not sure of the reason, but it's just down the street from last years location, which looks as though the roof is caving in. Not sure if that's the reason, but if it wasn't, I hope they got out before that happened! This location is smaller but still lots of seating, lots of pastries, tons of flavors for your specialty drinks or just black coffee. Service is friendly and efficient. They have some of the cutest merchandise. I got myself a cute tshirt: Support Your Local Caffeine Dealer. Love it! This time, R. got a Salted Caramel Mocha and I got a Candied Hazelnut Latte. They are super yummy! We will definitely be back the next time we're home and continue to tell our Oklahoma family and friends to stop by! read more

This place is cute, with friendly staff, and decent coffee. Food is just okay. It is not a great place to get work done or study. Multiple large groups, including a big birthday party came in not long after me. I believe the staff were aware of this planned party but gave no warning to other customers. Hosting a party in itself is fine, but this just isn't a great place to come if you want to get any sort of productivity done. Let me start by saying, I am not here for the drinks. I am not a coffee drinker...but they do have great pastries! Stopped in for a sweet treat today. I have had their blueberry muffins and was not disappointed. Today I tried a chocolate chip cookie and peanut butter cookie. They are cold, but they offer to warm them up. I love Wild Hero! My favorite is their iced mocha but the iced salted caramel mocha is pretty fabulous. I've gotten their quiche a few times hoping to get a decent piece for breakfast, but unfortunately it's always so tiny. Like a serving for a toddler? Kinda throws me off. Wild Hero is Mustang's local coffee shop for 2 reasons. First off, its the only one. Secondly, it's in a quintessential part of Mustang - located in it's "downtown" area on Mustang Road nestled among numerous businesses and restaurants and just down the street from the high school for students who want to study. I remember going there when it first opened in 2013, and it's admirable that they've stuck around this long with the odds stacked against them. What makes it even more impressive is that despite ownership changes, they have continually improved the interior of the shop and the quality of their product has remained unchanged. It's been a great place for me to study or just stop by when I need a little caffeine. Hibdon tires recently open the location just down the street within walking distance so it's where I go to wait now when I have to get my oil changed. My go to menu item is their frozen mocha. It's really the only thing I've ever gotten from there so I can't evaluate the rest of their menu. It's everything I ask for in a cold coffee drink - has a strong coffee taste without being overly sweet and the ice is mixed in nicely where you don't get occasional chunks that taste like water. Topped with whipped cream and some amazing chocolate syrup(Ghirardelli?) for some sweetness at the end. Always hits the spot. People really nice, I think they need to move a register to the window, they had to take my card and walk 15 or so feet to run my card and then come back. (Not efficient at all). The food is okay. The coffee is bitter and I prefer several other places. I really enjoyed my quiche! My husband and I went there after seeing Malcom there. The staff were very busy but were friendly. Our order didn't all come out at once. My husband got his coffee but someone took his food before he could get up to get it. Then she complained because hers was supposed to be bacon and he had ordered sausage. Also the rest of her family were still waiting on their food. I went to the counter and asked about my husband's food. The staff made him another and gave us a card for a free drink. Staff were great because she said she believed someone took his! Wild Hero Coffee is a hidden gem in the OKC metro area. It's not just a coffee shop, it's a gathering place. Oddly the comradely reminds me of the local pubs that were such a part of life when I lived in London. Not the decor or the flowing pints, but the regulars who sit for hours and chat about life and solve the worlds problems. In most coffee shops you find a crowd of individuals alone in their own world, who bought a cup of Joe only to take advantage of the free WiFi. Not here, there are some, but the majority of the patrons are there to chat, there to socialize, and there to remember that life is about relationships, not solitude. If you live in the Yukon/Mustang area, you should check it out, I can't recommend it highly enough. Most importantly, the staff are amazing and couldn't be more friendly, there is a drive thru for those on the go, and the coffee is way better than Starbucks! My first thought after placing my order at Wild Hero Coffee Co. (WHCC) was, "boy, these sure are some good people!" I got a latte and was happy with how it tasted. The espresso wasn't bitter or sour and it was served quickly. I will say that their sizes are bigger than I'm used to. I got the regular and realized halfway through that they gave me a giant mug. The smaller size would probably have been a better choice. Their brewed coffee is great too! It doesn't taste like it'd been burned, sitting around in a warmer for a couple of hours, like a familiar two-tailed, green mermaid I know. Now that all sounds fine and good, but what really pushed WHCC over the top was their service. I've been to so many coffeeshops where the baristas will make a fantastic cup of coffee, but they seem like they're too cool or hip to care about service. Not so with WHCC! If anything, they're so spot on with their service that it's uncool (it sounds like an insult, but I mean it as a compliment)! Every time I needed something I asked the lady at the counter and she helped me out without any hesitation. Everyone there seemed to enjoy what they were doing (or were really good at faking it)! I like to spend my money at local shops like WHCC. I know that that two-tailed, green mermaid opened up a new location nearby, so hopefully the people of Mustang will recognize quality and decide to support local businesses as well. read more

I appreciate the cheerfulness of the staff and how much they cared that they got exactly what I wanted. The product itself was piping hot and exactly the way I like it. I loved their merchandise.
