3 stars as it was bbq. Ordered burnt ends and ribs for the meat. Mac and cheese and baked beans for the side, The meat was very fatty. I used endless paper towels to remove part of the oil. Beans are thick and pasty and I don't even k ow words to describe the taste of them. Mac and cheese was average. We ended up wasting a majority of the food. Now the environment is fantastic! read more

Some of the best BBQ I have ever eaten! Far better than any chain I have been to, and better than most other independent BBQ places I have eaten at. The burnt ends are the best! Love them! Everything else is fantastic too. I have never had anything bad, except a long wait, but even that was worth it! I am sad to see they have changed their hours and are no longer open on the weekends, as it will be tough for a working person to get there by 4 in the afternoon if one lives in the city... or doesn't live in Wellston, but I will darn sure try! The atmosphere is typical for a great BBQ place, nothing formal, but very, very comfortable. Writing this is making me hungry for Butcher BBQ! read more

Specialties

Butcher BBQ was started out of luck, yes I mean luck. Let me tell you how we got our start. I like to think being raised on a cattle farm was the start of my work ethic. When I was 15 years old I was given the opportunity to work in a family owned custom cutting meat market. I stayed in that environment for 20 years learning and understanding the importance of taking care of each and every customer. I moved on to open my own meat market and after several years we started cooking in BBQ competitions. In 2007 we started making our signature products for the public.
