While my husband and I were out running errands, we thought we would stop in for Valentine's takeout. Well we placed our order for curbside and when it came out we thought we had gotten everything. When we got it home I discovered that our dessert was missing(a slice of pb chocolate cake), my salad was made wrong(I said no Romaine and pulled out the equivalent to half a head of lettuce). When I order extra pasta and no romaine, I do not expect to pull out the equivalent to a half head of lettuce out of my dinner, wasting 20 minutes of doing so. It makes me question the competency of the staff and their ability to read an order correctly. Other than that, the meal was good, the crawfish pepperjack soup had a of a kick. The hubby enjoyed his dinner as well, but pay attention to the order and how it is assembled. Always make sure you double check the order before bringing it out to the customer, so it can be a positive experience all around and not such a disaster. read more

I loved this place when I first started working in Tahlequah it was my go to but now I'm not the biggest fan of their take out. my sandwiches have not been correct the last 3 times I have ordered so I'm kind of turned off from ordering from them . Service inside the store is great I've always had helpful kind staff there is one gentlemen there I wish I knew his name I would right it here I will pay closer attention next time but he was great very respectful kind and willing to help with whatever he was on top of the tables keeping them clean noticing when customers came in the door I can not praise him enough I will go back to the store just to have an interaction with him it was just pleasant. Ambiance is what I would expect for a chain restaurant like this one. read more

Staff if warm and welcoming and provided helpful recommendations. The dinning area is clean and relaxing. Wife had the half pair which is half sandwich and cup of soup $9.79. The food is excellent and the portions are generous! This is an order at the bar restaurant. You get a number for your order and it is delivered to your table. The menu is large! It includes sandwiches, soups, salads, pizza and desserts. Check out their website before you go. We had the Greek Salad and the Italian Sandwich with a small bowl of Steak and Roasted Vegetable Soup. The salad was large! It was chocked full of a variety of vegetables, chicken, feta cheese and mixed with a perfect Greek dressing. It didn't skimp on the ingredients! The Italian Sandwich didn't skimp on anything either! It was packed with Italian style meats and great flavorful dressings and condiments. The small bowl of Steak and Roasted Soup was a meal by itself. It was thick, hearty soup packed with roasted garden vegetables. Newk's has a couple of unique things that I haven't seen anywhere. The first is what they call the "round table. It is a "round table" that is stocked with a great variety of condiments, from sauces to capers, peppers and roasted garlic. The other neat thing is their prepared sandwich counter for grab and go lunches. It also has containers of soup for a quick, take home heat and eat dinner. Great restaurant....... Exceptionally marginal pizza easily defeated in the frozen food section. Might as well go to a chain restaurant as they are sadly better.

One of my favorite places in Tahlequah. Unfortunately they have now gone to plastic utensils and give you soup spoons too small to eat with. When asked about the silverware the answer was "we are too busy ". I'm really disappointed. They were also out of multiple items today. read more

Went to the soft opening of Newk's. It was great. Service was good even as they were training to work out the kinks. I had the Black and Bleu salad which was delicious! My daughter had the pepperoni pizza which she said was really good. We both shared a bowl of the tomato soup and it was packed full of flavor! Probably one of my favorite things is that they serve sweet tea (sweetened with Splenda)!!! We are excited for them to be open full time as we will go back servers times! read more

The garden sandwich is a nice change of pace for the vegetarian, with its mushrooms, onions, avocado, and squash. Seems like everywhere else all they know how to makes is a black bean burger. Not here. Great change of pace! It was so good I went back 4/29/2021 and had the southern chicken salad. I was not expecting that much chicken salad. Now when I say "chicken salad" I mean a huge scoop of chicken salad on top of a salad. This would have been plenty for two people. So if you have a friend you want to share with, split it, save the money, and give yourself the excuse to visit again. First off the menu on Yelp is incorrect they no longer have the roast beef and the Italian doesn't have mortadella on it. Upon finding this out my disappointment was already set in. So I struggled with the decision and I went ahead with the club with chips and my wife got the half Italian with tortilla soup. When the food arrived one side of my sandwich had a good amount of meat while the other half had very very little so I just moved the little meat to the good side and ate that. My wife's Italian also had very little meat on it but she did say the tortilla soup was good but the sandwich was no better than subways Italian. So after paying $20 I had a half a sandwich with a bag of miss vickies chips and my wife with a sandwich no better than subway and a decent bowl of soup. I tried it but I won't be going back. read more

Newk's is new to Tahlequah. We've eaten at the one in Springfield, MO. Menu now is much more streamlined and they seem to have found a niche. I had turkey avocado sandwich-which was tasty. The Greek salad wasn't to my taste as it had more onion and cucumbers than I like. Sweet tea was good. read more

Not a fan of Newks. It's average food & overpriced. Ive given it two tries & won't be going back for a third try. This last time I ordered a roast beef sandwich. In all fairness the menu DID say it would be medium rare roast beef. MEDIUM rare. However when the sandwich came it looked like a crime scene. I've never seen so much blood on a plate of food. It even smelled like blood. The blood had soaked up into the bread & I could not even take a bite, since the bread had acted like a sponge & soaked up up all the blood from the VERY RARE roast beef. Not only did I not take a single bite of my sandwich, the girls eating lunch with me were grossed out as well. My friends sandwiches we fair to average & they were nice enough to share with me since we had to take napkins & cover up the bloody mess that was my lunch to even have the stomach to eat. The time before I ordered the "famous" Mac n cheese. It was average at best. It did not compare to the Mac n cheese at the Brook in Tulsa or other places who actually DO have great M&C. I was completely under whelmed. It was not creamy, the pasta was over cooked & it was under seasoned. After drink & a side I paid $15 plus tax for that bloody mess of a lunch. Two tries at Newks is it for me. Overpriced & average food. Not a fan. I will say that the people who work there were very nice & friendly BOTH TIMES. But bottom line, I frequent a restaurant for the food. Customer service is just a nice amenity. read more
