The bun was crispy on the outside, soft inside. The meat literally melts in your mouth. The au jus was made with pan drippings, instead of a bouillon cube. One dip in the au jus and I understood the "Drip Beef" name! Wife's Philly melts in your mo nuth no dip needed. Onion rings are real. Dipped in batter and fried while you wait. Great service and a vast menu. We had the sub and soup combo. We had the ham sub and it was larger than we thought. It had ample ham and you could tell the bun was fresh. Had lunch here the other day.......part of the lunch was out of this world fantastic, and part of it was relatively uneventful.......I had the gyro, which was out-of-this-world fantastic.....the creamy yogurt sauce, fresh pita, and tender meat were utter perfection. So I grew up on B&R's on 15th and have been to a few others and this one does not let me down. It's so close to work and easy for me to just goto B&R's for a quick sandwhich. Once again i stick to my all time favorite supersub on wheat... mmmm ya.. Can't go wrong there... One of the guys at the office really likes their gyros and I think the next visit I will have to get me one b/c it looks good too!. My husband has talked about Bill and Ruth's for years and I finally had the chance to try it. My hubby realized immediately that things are different from what he remembered. I ordered the Greek salad and a lot of the lettuce was black or brown on the edges. I picked it out and what was left was just ok. My hubby ordered a sub. The bread was really good and soft and he said his sub was not bad but not as good as it used to be at the old original location. He has always bragged about the sushi being the best in Tulsa but there isn't any sushi on the menu anymore. Probably a good thing considering that they serve rotting lettuce. It's just okay. It will do if your options are limited. I will admit I'm picky and this place just doesn't get me excited.

I always like to give small shops a try but this one was a mediocre to say the least. They haven't updated their menu and need to retrain staff. My 10 year old sibling could talk to people better. On the other hand, the bacon was pretty gross - super burned crispy pieces that tasted like they were microwaved and not really "cooked up" and there was a ton of mayo but it had a sweeter taste that I didn't appreciate. Maybe it was some sort of signature dressing but that was no good. I wouldn't a chicken salad upon the lady at the registers recommendation for a salad. I had an avocado... It was ready in about six minutes and I was on my way.
