Pretty decent gyros and chicken shawarma. The chicken shawarma had a little kick. In terms of flavor, I prefered the gyros.

I have tried gyros all over the country, all over the world and I think Gyros by Ali is still the best! The way they toast their pita, it has the perfect texture. Their staff are always friendly and the food is ready quickly. I just got back from Greece and couldn't wait to come to Ali because they just taste better to me. I've been coming here for years and it's delicious every time!

Guys, I'm just gonna say it, if you haven't been to Gyros By Ali, you're doing yourself a disfavor! This gyro was incredible! And they didn't skimp on the lamb either! I don't know how they do it but all the favors made every bite a thing to remember!

Had a good dinner at Gyros By Ali. Came in on a Tuesday night and the place was pretty empty. I ordered the chicken platter and a drink at the counter. Got my Pepsi at the fountain machine and placed it on a dining table. Used the bathroom and walked back to the table. Within a minute, the chicken platter was ready at the counter. Quick is an understatement to describe the wait time. The entree came with basmati rice, Greek salad, pita bread, and tzatziki sauce. Surprisingly, the pita bread was the standout. They were soft, warm, and fresh; the best pita bread. Everything else (chicken, basmati rice, Greek salad, tzatziki sauce) was okay to good. I liked the basmati rice at this place. The tzatziki sauce was on the creamier side, and I was really indifferent to it. I don't think Gyros by Ali have the best Mediterranean food. If you really want to know, it's not even close. What it has is VALUE. It has the cheapest Mediterranean food in town. The chicken platter was only $12.99. Their most expensive entree is only $13.99. For this reason alone, it gets an extra star. To me, price is equally as important as the food.

This is my third time here, and each meal has been wonderful! Service is simple and quick-you order and pick up food at the counter. The workers are very accommodating, and the small restaurant is suitable for a relaxed, quick bite. I ordered the sultan platter, a little bit of everything, including beef, lamb, and chicken. The flavors of the meat and rice were fragrant and well-seasoned. It complimented the fresh, hot pitas that came with the meal. With the affordable price~$10-15, this place cannot be beat!

A tip just for calling my name? I don't think so..... The falafels were mildly seasoned little sausage patty shaped things. Served with a decent tzatziki and a little fresh salad. Good, average, nothing special. The Chicken Tikka, that's another story. This was some of the best Chicken Tikka I have had, easily topping any other in Tulsa. Moist, tender, spicy chicken breast meat on a bed of excellent seasoned rice. Good Chicken Tikka usually has a combination of ground coriander, turmeric, cumin, paprika, mild chili powder, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper that work together to produce that unmistakable fantastic flavor. This Chicken Tikka had that flavor and is covered with a drizzle of garlic aioli that kicked the deliciousness up another level. The flavors, the spices and moist tenderness of the chicken chunks reminded me of Chicken 65, only not as spicy. Both meals came with the very good seasoned rice, and fresh warm pitas with a crisp toasted edge. The restaurant is well worn, small fast-food décor and ambiance. No service. Order, pay and pick your food up at the counter when your name is called. Self-serve drinks. Get your own tableware, napkins and any condiments you want from a table by the counter. Bus your own table when you are done. The only service that is provided; they call your name when your food is ready. No tip earned. The price for the fast-food Chicken Tikka was $13.99. A fair price considering the fantastic taste, freshness and quality. Chicken Tikka is RECOMMENDED!

For lunch I had the chicken shwarma and french fries. The chicken had a great flavor, though a little dry, the sauces and other ingredients tasted great. The fries were fine, but bland. I'd eat here again.

Good gyro platter served on a thin sheet of wax paper on a tray. The paper ripped immediately. Plastic forks. Yuck. The chicken gyro was delicious however. Indoor seating was ok, just sorta sad. Would definitely do Gyros by Ali by takeout or delivery, to eat with a real fork on a real plate!!!

This place is busy ! 75% full inside and a lot of takeout . The order taker was friendly and our food came out in a reasonable time. The food is great and a big value for 10 bucks a plate full . The staff was friendly, looked like they enjoyed working there and addressed one little issue at our table happily . This place is dirty ! Combined with the fact that customers clean off their own tables and no one from the staff goes back and cleans tables ! I think next time I'll get the excellent food to go .

Our friends took us here for lunch on a Wednesday at 2pm. It wasn't busy and we got our food fairly quick. The portion size is enough to fill one person. The meat was a tad bit salty for my taste but with rice and sauce it wasn't too bad

I am so glad we found this place! Just heard about it a few days ago and have already been back twice. Amazing quality. Chicken tikka platter with the garlic sauce is SO GOOD! And just found out today that the owner is a very kind. Lovely staff. We'll be back!!!

After a quick recent Yelp search this place kept popping up as number 1 in the area so I broke down and tried the restaurant again. It was nearly a completely different experience! The pita bread is probably the best I've ever had. The portion size has much improved. The mix & match plate options are more balanced. I love I can order a LARGE tabouli salad! The garlicky potatoes have always been delightful. They packed all of the things I paid for and curbside was literally instant. I WILL return many times if this restaurant keeps up these new changes. I suspect the restaurant is under new management or something.

We sat at the bar and ordered Old Fashions. It was Happy Hour and drinks were $8 instead of $10. The Old Fashions were good. The other drinks on the menu seemed to appeal to a younger crowd, but they have a full service bar. We aren't limited to what's on their menu. Nevertheless, I decided to try the pineappletini. It sounded good. I love pineapple and martinis. It was way too sweet for me. We ordered an eggplant dip that came with unusually delicious pita bread. They bring you pita bread no matter what you order. We also got chips with the dip. We loved the dip. The atmosphere was busy. They had a large crowds of people socializing. There's a garden area where people who like quiet dining can go when the weather is nice. Dan sent a text to management asking about sodium levels in their food and explained that he had to limit his sodium intake for medical reasons. They responded by saying they can't give him that information. I was happy to notice there wasn't a charge for paying with our credit card. We will be back.

It's lemony, moist, and has a little bit of char on the outside to take the flavors to the maximum. Nothing overwhelms though, and it's all subtle - lower case, not all caps. The salad was simple but tasty and a great complement to the rice and chicken. Prices are midrange- nothing too expensive. I used to go to Saffron when it was in East Tulsa and called Shish Kabobs. I loved it then and it's even better now, and much more of a complete restaurant experience rather than the startup it once was. I'll eat here as long as it's open for business.

The greedy part of me thought I shouldn't review this place because the food is so good I don't want the quality compromised by too much customer service but the food has literally compelled me to write this. Friday evening 6:30pm: the place doesn't have a single chair available, tabouli is sold out. Plan accordingly. The Mezza Platter & the Shish Kebab are winners! The tenderloin shish kebab was the best I've EVER had! The tzatziki cucumber yogurt dip was perfectly thick...not runny like other inferior restaurants. The cabbage roll was surprisingly pleasant. I liked the herb olive oil dizzle over the hummus and eggplant dip. I also enjoyed the subtle hint of charred eggplant in the background of the dip. The place is across from Natural Grocers so it's perfectly located for multiple shops and stops. Will I come back? Definitely! Honest review & not paid by anyone to write these words.
